It still baffles me that at this century, people from Nigeria still believe in this voodo bullet proof thing.. Wao!! Really?? I can see that our proplem is not even the currupt government, but our citizens mentality.

ping2ping: I traveled to the Onitsha recently from Lagos and saw this so called task force people as you turn from the Benin - Ore highway to the Benin By-Pass and as you turn from Benin By-Pass to Benin - Asaba highway. They were about eight( in number carrying various weapons waiting for unsuspecting motorists especially private cars. I saw some cars being held up their by these guys. It seems they don't stop commercial buses.

How can somebody travelling on that road with his private car avoid the trouble of such miscreants? Personal experiences will be appreciated.

why do you want to by pass them?
What are they looking for?
Why can't you do the right thing and stay away from trouble?

It depends on where it happened. If nah yanki, call police for proper report and then alert your auto insurance company so that they can fix your car.
If nah naija, just drive your car away to your mechanic or fix it when you have the money.

Desric: If all these things had happened in the North, I think the story, headlines, publicity, and polticisation will be quite different from what we seeing and hearing now. I think our problem is not really our leaders after all, our problem is simply ourselves for allowing nepotism and hypocrisy take over our conscience. Until we see ourselves as Nigerians and not Northern, Southern, Muslim or Christian, our problem will still be far from solved. in the contrary, I still blame the leaders for acts like this. If perpetrators know that there is 99 % of them being caught, they will think twice before acting. But since the opposite is the case, there is 99% possibility of them not being traced, then any body can do any kind of evil an get away with it.
