TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Odedenshi1(m): 9:44pm On May 11, 2020
Greetings everyone and thanks for the wonderful contributions so far.

I need clarification regarding proof of funds for a dependant. I saw online that it is £6,120 (if the Visa will be granted for 9months or more) per dependant but was surprised when a friend in UK told me today that it is £16,320 (2years living cost).

I have attached the source of my info herewith. I would appreciate all vital information concerning this, many thanks.

Check gumtree or SpareRoom U.K. for cheap rooms in your city. Can find like £300 per month with bills. No need to wait for someone to share accommodation with you. Besides you will individually charged as you’re not a couple
What if it was a couple, would a £300 Room be convenient for them? Meanwhile, payment for rent is it monthly or yearly that is accepted? Thanks in anticipation of your feedback

Applied biomedical science comes with 1 year placement while advanced biomedical science is just a fancy name for MSc biomedical Sciences I believe
Kindly suggest some Schools that offer Applied Biomedical Science with 1year placement. I have been on google searching with no luck, the one I saw on searching is Nottingham Trent University (MSc Biomedical Science with 1 year work placement). Thanks in advance.

I hope u haven’t forgotten all about biochem. It’s possible to get back to the profession but it might cost you a bit and I don’t knw much about MBA as it’s not my field
Thanks for your swift response. September is like 5months away, I can start reading ahead. This lockdown period could be very beneficial in that regard as I am always indoors.

When you say it would cost me a bit do you mean Financially, as in cost of the Masters program or there are other things that would require Finance? I have checked an MRES in Biomedical Laboratory Science and it cost about 14,000pounds and I am sure the school will give discount.

My major concern is that I don’t have experience in this line, do you think this could be a limitation? Kindly share your thoughts and experience, thank you.

The M.Sc course was kind of meant for those who were already practising practitioners.

This is not true Cus I completed MSc Biomedical Sciences even before getting a job
Greetings bro @Omopapa, thanks for all the info shared so far. Please I need your advice
Would you recommend an MRES in Biomedical Laboratory Science or an MBA? I have a BSc in Biochemistry and a PGD Business Administration with 10years Retail Sales Experience. The goal is to be able to secure a job in the UK after graduation, I await your response. Many thanks

Get an epiderm cream from a Pharmacy, Cost is #500. Apply the cream everyday after bathing and reduce scratching the affected area. You may use up to 4 of the cream before it disappears.

THANK ME LATER!!!

If you are going for Big Data or Data Science, first learn Computer architecture and the basics of programming online: from that you would be conversant with how computers work and interact. After that, try learning Python programming language or R programming for data analysis.
Thank you @Simran94.

Lol @ Methuselah. Thanks for the heads up

I still need a word of advice.

Here is my profile; BSc Biochemistry, PGD Business Administration, Cisco Certified Network Associate.

Work Experience: 10yrs (8years Coordinating Sales for a marketing agency to a Telco company, managing a team of 13peeps, 1year plus as Manager of a night Club, 3 months as Business Consultant for a Marketing agency).

Study plans: Thinking of settling for an MSc in Big Data Analytics or Data Science. Was considering an MBA before now, but from perusing this thread I have realized Health Science or IT is the real deal. My challenge is I don’t have experience in IT despite my Certification.

Advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Good day everyone. Thanks for the great contributions.

Please I would like to be informed about courses with work placement in the 2nd year of study. Is it the duty/responsibility of the school to get the placement for the students or the students would search for and get the placement themselves.

I would like to get first hand information because from what I read from some schools website, they only offer assistance in this regard.

Hello house, please I have Master's in Ed accountancy. Please I need a school that offers business administration or any related business course for PhD? Do I need the English test? What is the average score for the test if needed. Please I need urgent answer please.
Bruv,
You have got to go online and do your findings. Check Daad and also use google to check out different schools and their various programs. As regards the English test, it also depends on the school. Some schools accept EPL. Sit down and do some Research, you should be able to get all the information you need online. Compliments

Chairmen!! abeg make una answer me, i am confused as hell!

1. What does Category A and Category B mean? you guys make use of those terms a lot but most people like me don't understand what it means and which category is appropriate when applying.

2. Secondly, a friend of mine told me that you won't be able to get an appointment date for student visa until after 12 months, how true is this and does this policy apply to everyone?

Thank you.
Bro try do small reading of previous pages if you really wan embark on this journey. Na information be man, now to your questions;

(1) Cat A & Cat B refers to the appointment booking categories. If you graduated after 2017 with a First class or a Second class upper, or hold a German Language Certificate at level B2 with over 80points or a TestAS certificate with a score of 100 - 130, also holding a Scholarship Cat A sure for you otherwise you are on Cat B

(2) With the latest development, Cat A is 8months while Cat B is over 12months. Although, anything can still happen because I believe in MIRACLES!!!

And what does that D category mean?
It is a type of Visa granted to certain individuals for the purpose of studying, working or permanently residing in one of the Schengen countries.

[quote author=Energygod post=85105424re Union and work visa is normally 12 months wait[/quote]Hello bro,
Student Visa is also a type of Schengen Visa and falls under the National visa of “D” Category. Let’s watch and see how dates for Summer applicants would be allocated.

MAY IT END IN PRAISE FOR ALL AD HOPEFULS.

Hello all,
Compliments of the season. From perusing previous pages of this thread, I realized that AD has been mostly discussed, because of the recent development. Suffice it to say that my checks on schengenvisainfo.com reveal that the EU is updating the Visa Code, with a bid of strengthening the common Visa Policy, while taking the issues of Migration and Security concerns into consideration. This could be the reason for the adjustments made by the German Consulate, they are being proactive because implementation begins February 2nd, 2020.

The main changes foreseen by the updated changes are as follows;
- Higher Visa fees.
- Extended application submission periods.
- Electronic application submission forms in most countries and so on.

You can find more info in schengenvisainfo.com.

I don’t think there is cause for alarm or panic. Let the AL, AD and Visum hustle continue. May the good Lord reward our hustle with SUCCESS in Jesus name.

IT WILL SURELY END IN PRAISE!!!
