How tall is your fence!when I used 1.8m fiber dish about 120cm away from a 2storey building, the dish can point correctly at arabsat@26east..that was when there was c band broadcast(mbc2 etc)at 26east(analogue)!currently my 3m can also point coorectly to badr@26east close to the same building!..as long as the dish can see a clear sky!

video resolutions of qsat or q23g is poor!with fast blind scan and good feed haunter!cant spend money on the box though!strong is just busy rolling out boxes!any much difference between 4922a and 4950!lol

strong receivers or HD receivers are up to 1080p!some receivers has high picture resolution, but more expensive like hybrid/spark receivers!

Na wah ooooo.see educative and informative thread between freddy and odilibe .what as Amos 5 got to do with this pls let us step up an go hunting fringe satellites we can lean more doing that.Enough of this my signal goes red or if yes dish size and signal percentage.To enjoy throughly FTA you need big dish and go feed hunting.10E , 7e and 25.5e you have sports feed there for epl,uefa,fa,europa ,wba,tennis,etc.

odilibe you may re-try hotbird i guess the signal should be high now because we are approaching dry season.My percentage currently is 77% on 3m with 10719 with our common fuji lnb.

obnelly...thanks for the info!depending on the type of receiver you are using I think you are getting good signal on Hotbird...I actually tracked Hotbird 13e with SNRT(assadissa tp) 10873V on Hotbird 13D...though the transponder was weak and sat finder detected the tp..but I used 11334 hotbird13C transponder to lock and confirm 13east..seems like Hotbird 13C tps are stronger than 13d and 13b..I will re track it again 2weeks time..I will keep you posted!

MY-HD channels are pay TV which amounts to 55$ per year....you are lucky u still dancing on 13east tried with the 380cm and failed bt am getting Badr 26e....have you ever tried Eutelsat 7E? you should try it for digiturk....if you nail it al embark on 13e till I sweat blood n tears lol

55 dollars is cheap for HD channels per yr..I am still targeting 7east ..as my receiver has steady updates on 7east!I think 6m dish may give you Hotbird..lol

Yeah its a prime focus lnb bt its spoilt....the second reason to cut is the inverto black has more gain than the fuji.....the question is how to fit the fuji feed perfectly on the inverto without ruining it

you are right inverto black has more gain than Fuji!but inverto black lnb throat is wider than Fuji so the feed may not fit!..best option is to remove the inverto lnb cap without cutting it...and attach fuji feed in inverto lnb throat..and see if it fits.by this you will not ruin the lnb! but if you have invacom C120 feed it will be the best! see modified inverto pics..I got from a UK forum..

My-Hd receiver to watch Hd channels on Badr 26E

..are myhd free channels or pay monthly! I tracked badr with my cousins 3m dish and digisat twin lnb in Onitsha/Nigeria, where aljazeera 11334H27500 appeared to be strongest tp on 26east in respect to fringe TP.though I didn't tweak lnb to get other channel on that sat! just for fun I moved dish to 13east ..hit the bird within 5minutes of tracking with sat finder frequency 11334 appeared to be strongest tp on Hotbird...hotbird is more closer than that badr..lol,returned dish to nilesat and hit 76% on 11766/27500 on SRT 4665*/dvbs receiver, 47% on ws-6906 sat metre!
scanned some frequency, using Strong receiver!

So it means the inverto throat shud b kept to its maximum minus the conical scaler.....and place the flat scaler without its throat....take a look of the flat scaler that I cut....

looks like prime focus lnb ..you don't need to cut it!

wanted to try the same with inverto single and fuji cut feed...share the pics about the length of the throat

came to notice that the single fuji has an extra scaler ring than the twin and quad....so the single might perform better by a good margin

you have to cut off only the scalar ring or where the ku lnb cap ends! then when i attached a flat c band lnb scalar ring to the Ku lnb holder on prime focus dish, there was an improvement....I would have post PIC but I am not close to the dish at moment..

..using a cut offset lnb on a prime focus dish with attached C band scalar ring can reduce noise and improve signal quality on fringe receptions!

Sunshine TV have joined the queue on Astra 2f with good picture and sound quality. Receivable with 11695 H 30000.

..the channel video quality on astra is manageable! but foggy sub-sahara africa satellite free to air providers are using 3rd class broadcast equipments lol! using VFormat of 1080p/I at 60Hz..on my receiver! some nilesat SDchannels are close to HD!

Well the sat is good for football and sports ..from sport digital,canal+futbol,orf sports,extreme sports,canal+deportes,eurosports...for movie you have TCM english,syfy universal,AXN movie etc...though language is the main barrier!not actually encryption!

...actually the middle-east beam of 95.0east seems possible at the edge is 46dBW...very close to Nigeria that means you are likely to invert a 1.8 to 2.4m offset dish to hit the beam!..

Close to impossible @113east..the beam didn't cover Nigeria!

Can you please tell me how qsat and azsky and others of their kind work? Anticipating your response....

Strong receivers with respective CAS/ key editor will work...for qsat or q23g it doesn't use smart card reader ..it doesn't use mediaguard or conax and NDS...some channels on 19east are running on seca/mediaguard encryption..that includes 13east! no conax or Nds ...the receiver will not work on seca encryption! as for azsky i have no idea..

The channels are encrypted! on viaccess 3.0, 4.0,5.0 and cryptoworks...I was talking of encryption! you need to patch your receiver to view channel otherwise with remote! I didn't have problems playing with those channels with my Linux box!

what it means is that if you are receiving these channel then you are on 19east; canalsat france/TNT sat, (hustler tv,sportdigital tv,canal+)MTV network that is mtv hits vh1,MTV rocks game one,nickelodeon or Viacom media networks, orf/orf sports, austrisat , canal digital, bein sports...

ofcourse you need advanced receivers to be able to view channel on viaccess 3.0 or 4.0 like moresat receivers,technomate,spark boxes, dreambox etc...

@mtchris. Remember: 1)You must first select the channel you wish to unscramble b4 inputing the keys or it will not work

on my receiver if you use the correct channel sid and frequency ..you don't need to select the channel before inputting the key!..

RR sat key may be down!

So Etv3 Ethiopia @ 57east c band is running fox movies! and one more tp is active @ 28east..11595H30000! just to add more channels I tracked TPA1 and 2, sports hub, loveworld on yamal 402@54.9east 10964H5925/11047H40000!Africa-beam!

wanted ask same thing cos i bought two diseq on getting home did not work....just stunned!

..are you sure your cables are not dead!..there is insertion when lnb is connected to the diseqc..where some receivers has low power output!bad cable will reduce power supply to the lnb,causing the lnb to malfunction!
