Did you check the modulation of the MBC Broadcast at 21.6east ...The sat seems close to nigeria. The question is do you have multistream satellite receiver to lock the signal or for IP Reception/streaming

Binsule: Take d lnb into ur apartment and connect one end of the cable to the lnb and the other end to ur receiver.
Goto menu installations .... Just like u want to track and keep ur eyes on the signal meter. If it move to 97% or so, then ur lnb is functioning...... Regards

you are correct..but some satellite receivers can't be able to identify bad lnb...more reason why i still keep my old strong x S satellite receiver, the signal quality meter reading will fluctuate when it spot a bad lnb...if it drops to 0% that means lnb won't pick signal, then signal meter reading gets stable if lnb is working or when lnb is disconnected from receiver ,though you don't need to put lnb on a dish..

frequency given belongs to IS 20'@ 68.5east..which is a linear satellite..remove lnb dielectric plate then move dish to 68.5east..use JSC frequency 4064/19850...when lnb skew is @ 2 0'clock use 4064 V19850....If lnb skew is @ 4'0clock use 4064 H 19850...This is aljazeera news frequency at 68.5east..happy tracking...

you are likely to skip some satellites especially if your dish...is not pointing at the correct angles (i.e) for the entire geostationary satellite arc, when using motor...most Europe Ku band satellites are not on the same satellite arc with Asia/Africa ku/C-band satellites!

SULIEMAN3: Aluminium paints are not easily prone to rusting with a little addition of kerosine(from being less viscous). Keep the brush you will use from being dusty, as that will make the surface of your dish smooth after painting and dry.

Dishtech: Pls can somebody in the answer! 1.8m fiber dish and 1.8m metal dish, which one is batter in terms of signal quality?

Shallow satellite dish has more signal gain than deep satellite dish...the deeper the the dish the lower the gain !..bearing this in mind..
I previously owned both fixed,1.8metre fiber locally made and 1.8metre imported metal dish which I used for both analogue and digital C-band satellite receptions..I could recall the 1.8metre fiber dish delivered sharper picture on the analogue reception and better signal quality on the digital satellite C band reception..than the 1.8metre metal dish...based on this i could say that fiber antenna is more better than metal antenna in signal reception...where metal dish is likely to rust as time goes on and this may reduce signal quality...I hope this helps!

You can still supply AV signal...to multiple tv using av splitter that comes with booster/amplifier...you did not state whether your tv has AV input..if so..get a 2-WAY or multiple output AV Splitter with amplifier...then run straight and separate AV cable to the two TVs...In-built amplifier from the splitter..will boost the AV signal on a long Cable run...You have too many options now....

From your location you need at least 3m dish...better to use 3.4meter dish for better signal on nilesat 201/102...cheers

Ka band frequency can work on ku band frequency...there is a mathematical formulae for converting ka band frequency to ku band frequency, especially where a receiver cannot take or accept the the higher input frequency of ka band..with the formulae..you can convert ka band to ku band...then track ka band satellite Tp using ku band frequency..Using this formulae Ka band Tp can work on any receiver or strong receiver...and you need ka lnb for this..cheers

The ka band operates at higher band frequency range of (18-22.20 Ghz)....for you to use ka band higher band frequency on your receiver...Lnb lo frequency on your receiver should be set at example..21.20 Ghz or 21200 Mhz etc,depending on lnb LO frequency ...at this time you can determine..if your receiver can operate ka band frequencies...and u need ka lnb for this..cheers
