I was in school but I was tired and school seems dull. My friends and I left school to our school(We live outside the campus and we live in the same compound but different rooms) We're 4 in our circle(Tobi,Myself, Lanre and Daniel) Tobi and Lanre smokes weed daily in fact they spend nothing less than 10k on weed per week(They are smokers).
Thursday precisely, We got home Tobi and Lanre bought 3k weeds. I've never tasted nor smoke weed in my life. On that day,they were(Tobi and Lanre)smoking the weed,I collected 200 naira own from them and started swallowing it for nothing. When I was swallowing it my friends were shocked but kept mute. I took a nap,then the weed started manifesting.
I was on my bed and I started smiling for nothing, Tobi knew that the weed has started working but Daniel was worried about me. I stood up and told Daniel to pour water on my head because I knew that something was wrong with me. Tobi said he's going to the shops seller to buy what we gonna eat,I followed him so that I can know maybe I was dreaming or it was real. We got to the woman selling the provides,I started smiling again without talking to anybody, I don't want people to start looking at me anyhow, So I bowed my face.I told Tobi to buy garri for me because I read it that garri can make the weed powerless in the blood stream but he never did. I called one of my friend who's a pastor to please pray for me,he started praying but the prayer was long so I shouted at him through the phone, then disconnected the call . My mind was racing,my soul was in another dimension. I wanted to call my pastor uncle to also pray me but I knew he'll ask what was wrong and I dare not tell him because I'll be discipline by the rest of the families and they'll be disappointed in fact I'll be taken from my school and I don't want to start school afresh,although I called him when I saw that I don't have any option,he didn't pick the call but called me back. I picked the call,instead of me to tell him the truth,I lied about my financial status and he sent some cash. All these was going on Tobi was making jest of me asking me silly questions but silly me was answering him but Daniel was not happy about my situation at all,Lanre became afraid that I was mad. Tobi cooked the food,I couldn't eat,around 11pm I started feeling hot,I was sweating and I couldn't breath very well. I was afraid.My mind told me that "IS THIS HOW YOU ARE GOING TO BE MAD,YOU WERE SENT TO STUDY BUT YOU STARTED SWALLOWING WEED" The next day the weed minimized from my system but not all, I left for school to write the last test,I got to school, I started smiling again but I bowed my head,I didn't interact with anybody except my friends(Tobi and Daniel) because I don't want to be saying rubbish. Honestly!!! When I saw the questions, I could remembered everything and I answered it,pass it to my friends to also copy,they submitted but I couldn't submit because I was afraid of submitting to the lectures because I don't know if I gets to the lecturer I'll be doing another thing.

I remember how me and my 3 friends were flexing Abidjan. The joy i have after i remembered how i started from nothing to becoming something. The night life is so sweet to an extent we dnt need to visit any bars because only the sight of those Ivorian beauties and how they smiles at u can even kill any depression ( yes, believe me some women can kill any types of depression, i found that in ivory coast)
Now back to the main topic why we are all here....
My first try on getting a team was not really successful. On that faithful day i went to church and after the service i decided to visit the pastor wife after a friend told me to try and see her as a Nigerian , because we are only 2 Nigerians in that church.
After i went inside and she asked where am from I told her from Nigeria and she was so happy and she keep asking me about churches in Nigeria. From there she asked me why i came to ivory coast, i told her i came to search for a team then she was marveled and the next thing i know she asked me about my age and called a powerful sport journalist on phone and she told me to wait for her till after church service. ( God is really Good), at that time i know my case was just matter of time.
After Church service i was called by her personal assistance to come to her office, then i went in.... then she told me we are going to the man house ( it was like am dreaming and my heart start beating so fast ) When we got to the man house, this nice pastor wife told the man " this is my son i want you to give him the oppurnity like any footballer" then the journalist told me when i will be taken to the team. My brethren i could not sleep that night because it was just like a dream to me, and i started thinking what if i never went to church that Sunday, because i dnt go to church that regular, but this Sunday i just decided to move.
Then she called me on phone to know how i was preparing to travel to the team. this team based at outside Abidjan. The following week i am ready to travel and she gave me enough money for my trip ( i could not hold back joy and happiness)
To cut the long story short i went to the team but the agreement between the journalist and the club did not go well and after some weeks with the reserved team because the league was already on session and i came back( i was not really happy because i wanted to make the " pastor wife " and the ivorian family that brought me into their home to be proud of me. Even my own mum)
But i never knew God was using that to prepare me and to prove to me that his God Almighty.
One faithful day i was eating with my Ivorian guys who are in charge of transport in that country. And my main guy ( LASS) who is their chairman asked why did i came to ivory coast. And deep down in me i know is high time i tell him everything.
i told him i came into ivory coast to get a soccer team..... My brother that was when i know how influential this people are. They started screaming and telling me i should relax that i already got team ( just like that ?) This was what i said to myself when i had it.
My brethren, it got to the next morning they they told me to get prepared that we are going to ZOKORA agent who is a coach to a second division team( this is not a joke i mean it) anybody who watch soccer knows who ZOKORA was and how popular he is. Then they started ranting and boosting that if they dnt sign me war will be the next thing and this moment i remember this Nigeria terms " Power chop" and they were all happy that they have someone they could go and watch every Friday or Saturday league match. This guys love soccer and they are ready to do anything to make sure i represent them to an extent they told me if i dnt get signed no player will be signed. i know why they are all saying this is because they are the real fan of that team and in fact one way or the other they helped the team manager and also is their friend.
It got to that day i will be going to meet the coach at where they were training preparing for the league match. i came very early as 6am and waited for them. Then they came and make some calls to confirm if the coach was already present ( this guys have people everywhere ) then the person ask them to start coming that the coach is already present.... Then we all left to where the team was training. i wish i can demonstrate how this guys were behaving approaching the field i was just laughing and telling them to calm down
They got to the field and respect every laws and also gave the coach the respect he deserve. They told the coach am one of their own and they want me get signed and i should move into the camp that same day my brothers and sister i was just surprised.... and that moment i remember a saying in my heart that goes this way " if God is for you people will fight for u even ur enemy will fight for u"
The coach told them he's not the owner of the team that i should come the following week. This people did not agree and they said the coach must sign me. But as a footballer i know how things are done and i called their attention and told them the coach was right.... Lolz, that was how i was able to save the coach from all this guys and we all went back home.
To cut the story short i went there the next week and i was training with them not knowing God has something very big for me. while i was training with them i got in contact with coach in a very low division and i saw the interest he has for me and plan he also have for me after some few time with the division 2 team, Then i stop training with a team in division 2, and start training with division 4 team. can u imagin?
i never knew that was the only character i need to get favour from God
i started training with this team and i was oppurtune to be among players going for an open trials in America, a team called " LA GALAXY FC" if u know soccer teams u will find out this is the same team zlatan Ibrahimovic plays...
So for some people that was wondery why did i left Ivory coast.... This was the only reason i left there to Nigeria to secure my visa but the sad thing was that i could not get the visa to go for the trial because of how our brothers over there in american were moving to canada using america visa and also is because is an open trial and they are not sure if i will be coming back to Nigeria if did not make the trial( this was the main reason i could not be granted)
But am still greatful because now i dnt need to look for a club my self i already have agent working for me and his helping me any way he can. So for now i just wait for his phone calls then i pack my bag
CONCLUSION - if you follow towards the last paragraph you all will find out how i stop training with division 2 team to division 4. That is what people called " HUMILITY " so i advice people to start from anywhere they found peace and joy no matter how small it is.

i started to live with this grate family in Abidjan, and they showed me love and care like i was their son. Then in my on little ways for one week i was assisting the "call center" lady in her shop in terms of logistics duties and i never knew all this while i was with this lady and helping her, this Ivorian family were taking notes of everything am doing also studying the type of person i was.
On a faithful evening i was called by her step mother( the " call center lady" father got married to 2 women and they stay together peacefully). Less i forgot this is desame woman that brought me home when i was homeless. She told me that "they have thought about it and i can stay in their house forever if i choose too that they have already taken me as their own son and family" ( God is good). Believe me guys i was full of life and those period was so emotional to me, because i dnt know this people from anywhere ( what a sweet feelings).
Then i was free and settled in ivory coast and start exploring and making friends with locals and also became popular, because i move with some of the locals and those transport guys i met and Every Sunday i go out with the sons of the Ivorian family i stayed with.
Then i met 3 crazy nigeria friends namely Bobby, Chidi and Isioma.( i am going too tell the story of bobby some other day, so that people faith can be motivated).
This 3 Nigeria friends of mine have special thread, i will like to write about them because is something u people need to know .
Now back to my story, it is getting to the real gist...
Then after staying with my 3 Nigeria friends at night, and at this time we make sure will explore some carteens and bars, and every public places we move too.... like the bars, carteen even streets... We are sure of getting phone numbers from Ivorian damsels. And because of the beauties from all this ivorian damsels. we say this things in pidgin language ( if na Nigeria we dey yahoo boys for don collect all this sweet babes) to an extent one of my friend has a big time babe who work with MTN as an accountant who he always running away from, because this girl is too pretty and because of this "Nigeria mentality" of all women need money he lost this girl and later found out that Ivorian women are not like that. i did not blame him because 4 of us came into the country same time only one of us came earlier before us, so we were " Jonny just come " because we were all thinking what a pretty girl working with MTN as an accountant doing with this guy called bobby, that dnt even have job at that time..... in fact 3 of them were all staying inside a church . ( this story is for another day like i promise)
Then in the morning i hangout with my Ivorian guys that are into transport management in that country. But before i continue this story, i want used this space to thank (Mr LASS) "is like the king of boys" over there in Abidjan, and am the closet person to him than any one even his Ivorian friends are not even close to him like i do. i got so popular in that area and i made friends.
Now i need to start learning French demanded by the people around me and my Ivorian friends. Then an Ivorian girl called (Esther) got so close to me and started teaching me and before u know it we are over each other and start dating. And the love she has for me was second to non and her parent knows this and because of this i don't pay any time i eat in her mother carteen . This got to show u how popular and love i was getting.
But as faith will have it we dated for few months before we left each other because of some issues (best know to me) Then i never knew i will be dating among the youngest daughters of that family i was staying with..
Her name is Josiane, she is 200 level university student. She is very pretty and blessed with everything that makes a woman "Africa queen" i never saw it coming that i will be dating her because before then i know how hot and popular like a star she is . infact she always told me that some of her female friends that are coming to visit her likes me and they want to date me that if i should give them my number( ThankGod i was not desperate and cheap) and maybe all this made her to fall in love with me... Then everything was history. But she wanted to make it public to her parent but i advice her let keep the relationship" secret " for now.... because i dnt just want them to think i am a womanizer or i took advantage of their trust in me.
I remember during new year eve how i was indoor, and she came back from the market and told me to dress up let go to club, then i foolishly told her " i don't have money" and she start laughing at me and as a Nigerian i need to cover up then i started acting like a comedian for are to be distracted over those laugh.
Believe me guys this is social media i would have said a lot of things we did together secretly but i can't because is an open space for any body to see...

i want to use this oppurnity to encourage everyone not to ever get discourage from how little they start in life.
I remember when i was homeless in" ivory coast" and i was sleeping from one nightclub to the other. i never knew that God was preparing me for something great to come, and all this sleeping around nightclubs made me knowing so many people both ivorians, Nigerians and other foreigners.
God started showing his mercy into my life with people i don't know with money to eat and take care of my self, even though i was not having a roof over my head i was not lacking money for food at least......, Infact i was having money more than some people having where to sleep ( God is good and able).
NOW GET READY FOR REAL MIRACLES!
After roaming the entire Abidjan for some weeks( dnt get me wrong i was very neat and sleek in dressing ooo) the only thing i was missing was a roof to lay my head.
My life started changing when a thought came into my mind to go call my mother because i had spoken with her for a long time because i dnt want her to panic and to know the true situation of things. Then i went to make a phone call on a "call center" a lady was the owner of the call center, and after i spoke with my mum in English, the lady was so marvelled and happy and she asked me where am from i told her NIGERIA, and before i know what is going on, she started telling some of the guys around her that am a Nigerian and the next thing, this guys were so happy to an extent they gave me a chair to seat and started asking me about Nigerians stars. Ladies and gentlemen, at that time i felt relieved because there is notting more than the citizens likening you as a foreigner, that is the first help u need from God in any foreign country.
That phone calls got me so connected with guys, even if i was still homeless but this guys are the people who are in charge of transport in the country and We all know how powerful this people are even in Nigeria, and this are the people that really fought for me. Now my schedule change from sleeping in those nightclubs and roaming about to sleeping in those nightclubs and going to meet this guys... But my homeless situation did not change because i never opened up to them but honestly anything they eat i also ate, anything they drink i also drank( not alcoholic drinks though) everywhere they move to in Abidjan and other cities i also follow then, Infact i would have gotten their international passport if was serious. this is to show how connected i was becoming oooo.
Now to the main gist. those two weeks i was balling with this guys and been friends with the other lady that owns the calling center, I never knew she was studying my schedule and honestly, once i left the nightclub i slept for the day has ended... the next place i always go and stay as early as 5am is her shop. Then this lady went home and told her parents that is like i was stranded. and her mother came the next morning and met me and she was very angry with her daughter for not helping me on time and she said stress was showing on my face that i am not getting enough sleep at night.
Then she told her daughter to take me home.( believe me my brothers and sister it was like i have a sugar factory running in my stomach) but deep down in my heart i was not yet fully relieved because i was thinking after going home with her daughter i will be going back to where i belong but never knew God has answered my prayer.
i Got home with her and the first girl i saw at home later became my one and only girlfriend i had then in" ivory coast " i took my bath and as i was about going.... i was asked to sleep to get some rest... believe me my brethren i never saw it coming that i will be part of their family. Let say i went there by 12pm and by 1pm i was already sleeping then i notice no body has even came where i was sleeping to wake me up, and at that moment in my sleep i said to my self ( God if them no chase me, i no go chase my self oooo) then i continue sleeping.
I woke up by 5pm by myself still no body is waking me up then i said to my self ( God if them no chase me , i no go chase my self oooo) then i continue sleeping till it got to 7 to 8pm. finally, someone came to wake me up and is the lady mother.... then i said to my self in my sleep ( time to go back) but surprisedly, i saw nice rice presented to me as dinner to eat and continue sleeping ( God is Good). The next thing is morning, and the lady came to wake me up and told me if i choose to take my " morning shower" with cold water or warm water (what a life) and after taking my baths she said to me if i want to stay at home or follow her to her shop? my brothers and sisters that was when i know is good to be good, because this was desame treatment i gave to one of my friend in Nigeria who came from abia to Lagos just to get a team or manager and since then have been helping him

Writing this now... Is making me go through some emotions. Yes! i know i had some "sweet memories " but before all this sweet memories i had some painful and difficult times over there in ivory coast and this is to strengthen anybody who has the determination to succeed in him.
"MY PAINS"
I remember how i left Nigeria without knowing any one over there ( am not saying u must follow this step ooo). And after discussing it with my friends and they discouraged me from going. even one of them asked me in pidgin " wetting u go eat for there" at that moment i know, i never shared same dream with them even if we are all footballers.
I remember how the first girl supposed too help me at the first the moment I got to "Ivory coast" but out of pride as a man made me to lie to her... After this ivorian girl asked me after we entered Abidjan. she said - ( emeka do u have where to stay?) She asked this question almost every stop over we had. then out of pride as a man and as a Nigerian guy, i said - i am going too "ASSEC MIMOSA FC TEAM CAMP in Abidjan" , anybody that follows soccer know this soccer team.
But after just one or two days stay at one of the hotels at abidjan, i know i can't continue this way then i humbled my self and call this girl to come and meet me at the hotel. And after she came, she was so angry why did i rent the hotel and lie to her. But i apologised and she brought me to her place, and i learnt my lesson to always "be my self " if i want to be helped.
Believe me, i learnt a lot after lieing so heavily on this good girl. Infact i learnt how to be "my self " no matter what.
Before i continue i want to use this space to thank this good and beautiful Ivorian girl called (Genevieve) for what she did to me at the first stage of my life in Ivorian coast.
My brothers and sisters..... some Nigerians in diaspora are good despite how bad some are. Am so happy that i met a guy who bears same name like myself. His name is Emeka, before i met this guy i know what i went through from other Nigerians over there who has been advising me to go back to Nigeria that their is nothing in ivory coast, but this my friend keeping advising me to stay and showed me some mansion owned by nigeria and how i was even better than them. He also gave me money and told me anytime i needed money i should call him, he tried to help me on where i will be sleeping but he was under someone that brought him to "ivory coast " but his direction really helped me.
Oh my God, i remember how i slept from one nightclub to other nightclubs, infact i know a lot of nightclubs in Abidjan , because sometimes i move around at day time to discover a new nightclub to sleep at night ( is that not hard work?) i also remember how others are dancing and those babes shaking their as*, ( God forgive me ooooo, for this sentence) this is the only part in all i wrote that made me to laugh with out control despite being emotional.
My brothers am getting really emotional i wish to continue writing my sad moment/ pains but let me just stop for people too be able to read it easily ( long note is not good at this time)

I remember my first "night out" when my former Ivorian babe father chased me out of the house.... Despite how hard things are that day, the sweet night life i experience did not allow me to even think for once that am homeless... with every sweet Ivorian ladies passing by and i could not stop turning back in shock why this girls/ladies are so endowed and beautiful .
This is why i said if u promise any girl/ lady marriage before coming too ivory coast you need to embark on fasting and praying. Mine was different because i was not into any relationship before i left Nigeria and is like i have every license to explore ( please am not saying u should leave ur woman before coming). Am saying my conscience was clear.
I remember how i met 3 Nigeria guys and one of them got married to Ivorian lady just 6 months he came into ivory coast i told u ? u need to be strong to escape this trap from Ivorian Beauty and bounty women. As am typing this that my friend have a son .
I also remember how Nigerians are balling and Ivorian ladies are really feelings us to an extent my Ghana friend was even jealous of me and how he's female friend got interested to me and wanting me to tell her about Nigeria music stars( good time to be a Nigerian) it got so interesting to me that i stop responding with English, because that is the first sign that u are a Nigerian guy. RuudVanNisteroy: That is why my family relocated from Warri 10 years ago. They kidnapped my father and held him for a week, before he was rescued by the police. The only time I realized the Nigerian police can actually be effective.
I only know the cost for University is around 2-3 million naira with tuition, accomodation and flight included. Not to sure about making a permanent move. I don't think there are many Nigerians that have moved them permanently, so it must be hard.
