Odumchi, other than the part where I mistakenly wrote"nya" twice I dont see whats hard there for you to understand. For you your info that Igbo I wrote in is the easiest and most understandable Igbo you can come accross. Its the Idenmili/onicha axis Igbo. If I can read your Aro dialect which I have never come accross anybody that speaks it, how come its hard for you to understand the easiest and sweetest spoken Igbo.
Maybe your "sweet and easy" Igbo isn't as sweet and easy to everyone as it is to you grin. If you'd ask me, I'd say my own dialect would be the easiest, as opposed to yours just to show you that its merely a thing of opinion. If I had grown up where you did, I might not be asking this question . Anyway, I take it that you don't want to translate it.
PoliticsRe: Bigamy No Longer A Crime In Lagos by odumchi: 1:13pm On Dec 15, 2011
Bigamy is a threat to modern law and civil order. In fact, that's one of the main reasons it wasn't implemented in the first place. First of all, with polygamy, diseases spread at a much faster rate. Second of all, strife usually results due to inheritance issues. Thirdly, how will a man with two wives be able to sign forms, take loans, and do other things when most institutions only recognize a family as: a man, his wife, and their children?

Then again, the issue of support for all of those children arises. If the man is well off, fine. If not, then how does he plan on training, feeding, clothing and educating all of the children he will beget? And also if a man is allowed to have two wives, why can't a woman have two husbands? In my opinion, Polygamy is one of the reasons why poverty is so high in certain places. It shouldn't be instituted in any state.

Polygamy was a thing for our ancestors. Back then, a man needed to have multiple wives in order to increase his chances of having a surviving child. Today, theres no use.

Twice the journey. . .double the climb. . .same spot!
WwwwwwwwTF? cheesy
There's no way that that road could have been built on a straight line. The inclination is too steep. Of it were to be straight, the car would be at almost a 90 degree angle and would fall off. However, since it's curved, the car never inclines more than a certain amount of degrees and therefore can climb safely.
PoliticsRe: Nairaland Mock Presidential Elections by odumchi(op): 2:23am On Dec 13, 2011
PDP was the Party of the millennium. It was meant to assimilate all Nigerians into the "new democracy" of 1999, but however it fractured into many other parties which are today the ACN, CPC, APGA an others.

Anyway, won't you participate in the mock elections?

The Prime Minister is in charge of the implementation of policies, or objectives of the goal of the Eze Igbo Nairaland.
He is the chief adviser to the Eze Igbo. His counsel to the Eze Igbo rises above those of other chiefs. The Eze Igbo defers to him as the person with the "how to" skills to get messages streamlined towards the defined goal of the Eze Igbo Nairaland. In the absence of the Eze Igbo, the Prime Minister represents him.

Since this is purely an online affair, all duties are also online.
Oh ok. I accept your offer. Eze nke mbu, chiri gawa.

PoliticsNairaland Mock Presidential Elections by odumchi(op): 4:02am On Dec 12, 2011
Let's form a mock presidential campaign/election to simulate what might possibly happen were the political climate of our country to change. Let's create a situation where its 2015 and Nigeria is about to carry out it's next presidential election however, there will be no Gooduck Jonathan or Buhari.
Instead of using the names of today's politicians, Nairalanders will have to fill in the positions. For example, someone will have to be nominated as presidential candidates for each of Nigerias four main parties:

ACN

PDP

APGA

CPC

These candidates will pursue the mindset of their individual parties. For example a PDP candidate will pursue the interests of the PDP party and etc. For each political party, there hall be no more than 6 Nairalanders, and of those six, one will have to be chosen as a political candidate. I, will play the part of the interviewer and will question each of the candidates on their views on pressing national issues. After this, the people shall elect one of the candidates for the position of "Mock president of Nigeria".

*I'll post a list of rules and regulations soon*

Remember people "A democracy is only as good as the virtue of it's people". Exercises like these are good ways for us to exercise democracy.

There where times when diplomatic reletionship between  ngwa and aros where strong it was withing this period that aro use ngwa land for there trade rout to the riverian area e.g present day rivers state and aros where also giving a place stay wthing ngwa land .e.g for trading inwhich some aros who live wthing the place given to them by ngwas where assemiliated into ngwa family unit, cultuer and tradition and they are know today as aro ngwa's.But in some years later the diplomatic reletion break down becuse by this time ngwa people where against slave trading then you shold know what it means to be at the opposing side aros will declar you there enemy this led hostality between ngwa and aros, you shold know that all this happen before the colonization of ala igbo.
I suppose so. But since I'm in the vicinity of Ngwa folk, I' like to ask: Is there a central figure of authority for all Ngwa people? I know that today the Ngwa aren't politically united under one "ruler", so then how did they, at that time, collaborate with each other to agree on certain issues?

Based on what you said, I'd expect them to split into factions based on their views on slavery unless there was something about slavery that all Ngwa people were united against. So if there was something that they detested about slave trading, what was it?
