You people are taking this thing too seriously. I have just been wondering about this and I am speaking my mind. I know Nigerian history and I know what happened there. I did not make this topic for all of you to gang up on me I am speaking my mind and if you dont like it then cuttof your ears. ![]() |
Well then maybe this system or government we are under now should be revolted against. Look at after fifty years of eixistence, more than half the population (75million people +) are without electricity. Another 75 million people survive on less than $2 a day. Only about 25% percent of Nigerians are wealthy enough to be considered average in America. Nigeria needs change FAST. Tadeus: |
Everyone knows what happened in Nigeria. I am not sayimg it was a south v north war but the people in the north came out as victors right? And as for Korea the north koreans would have won anyway without China. they conquered all of Korea except a territory half the size of Srilanka before the Chinese even got involved. Let me rephrase my argument "Why is it that in all famous civil wars b/w the north and south the north wins? |
^ I dont think that government forces winning is relavant in this matter because all of these nations--both the beligrants and the defenders each had their own nation states and gov'ts |
Let us work together for a better Nigeria and love each other as brothers. Wether Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, or Efik we must all come together and provide our nation with electricity, good roads, healthcare, jobs, erradicate corruption and then we can truly be called the giant of Africa. Please put tribalism behind you, it is the only way we can move forward. We must start with one state at a time take a look at what governor Godswill Akpabio is doing to some roads in Akwa Ibom State the first is a before the second is an after and. The third Image is an example of police corruption which we as NIGERIANS MUST ELIMINATE FORM OUR HOMELAND.

Yes its very true and I wonder why. it doesnt seem like an ordinary coincidence to me. |

I have been pondering this for some time and in all popular civil wars in which there is a North and South, the North wins. Some known examples: Nigerian Biafran war- North won U.S. civil war- North won Vietnamese civil war- North won Korean civil war -(North basically won if it werent for the U.S. and the U.N.) |
This is the police and gov'ts fault. The police are cowards and dont care for human life. Once they saw the trailer running i bet they used their ak47s and shot at the tires or even killed the driver causing the truck to swerve. what kind of police have automatic machine guns? Pistols are whats needed. It can sometimes be said that the Nigerian police are more dangerous than the armed-robbers.It is also the gov'ts fault for importing all of these cheap cars that are older than the drivers. I bet the thing that killed these people is flying glass and car pieces. Nigeria needs modern cars atleast. These cars should have airbags, tempered-glass and modern engines. |

The thing Nigeria needs badly is a social security system or a way of national identification. This way we can keep track of people, 419ers and then we can move on. Another thing we need is steady electricity whcih whill fuel industry and productivity. After that we need a stable and firm road network that connects the country and this will promote business, travel and also tourism. |
Recently in Nigeria kidnapping has been running rampant in some states in parts of the west and east. The problem has escallated so much that President Jonathan sent federal troops into the eastern city of Aba where they blockaded roads, set up roadblocks and made sure the streets were cleared. All throughout Aba, no one dares to step outside except for the essentials such as work or school. Some local residents were asked if they had any idea what the cause of this kidnapping was and one Mr.John replied "The problem is that money is hard. What they might recieve in one operation is equivalent to 20 years of hard work. No one wants to work hard anymore". Another Mr.Michael replied saying "It is the people in the north, the enemies of our governors. They are obviousley practicing gangsterism and are sending these men into our land to destroy our progress". There has been news of kidnappings of prominent officis and even film actor Nkem Owoh who's kidnappers demanded N20mill for his release. Another man who sold a corporate hotel for the sum of N40mil was also targeted as a victim. His kidnappers, thinking that the money was made as profit kidnapped the man's father and demanded exactly N40mil for his release. The man, having no such amount begged the kidnappers to reduce their price, but they refused. The man was allowed a last telephone conference with his father who replied "My son, I am already old [70 years] and there is no point in wasting such an amount on me. I have lived my life fully. Do not give them ANYTHING." The kidnappers reacted and immediately killed the man's father and dropped off the father's corpse in front of the son's reidence where e was discovered the next morning. God help us. -Diaspora news |
Yes Igbo women are the most educated in Nigeria. This is true because Christianity advocates truth and progress and unlike Hausa ane Yoruba culture, Igbo culture adapts as times change unlike in the North people are in bondage due to Islam and Boko Haram. B4 Igbo women were called oriaku (cloth or money eater) now it is oso abpata (fellow producer) ![]() |
In parts of Nigeria, kidnapping has been running like wildfire. The NEC estimates that this surge of crime has been caused by recent job cuts, and lawlessness in the region. The problem escallated so much that, Jonothan called in infantry soldiers into the SE city of Aba. Roads were closed, businesses vacated, and people chose to remain inside. Some local residents were questioned if they knew what began the kidnapping and one replied: "I guess it is because of the pay. What they might recieve, |

The thing is not that the country is not too big for one man to lead--- The Indian prime minister is he not leading 1billion+ people? The thing is that Nigeria is far too diverse. ![]() |
Kayci I totally support you. Nature has already divided the 3 main ethnic groups along the Niger river. Another thing is if things dont change i 4see a revolution in Nigerias future. The same thing happened in France wen the 1st(Hausa) and 2nd estates (Yoruba) ignored the 3rd estate (Igbo) and then the 3rd estate led a revolution and beheaded the king then took over power. Do not be surprised if this happens. |
@ Koruji No I am not saying that he accomplished those things because of his Igbo-ness, but remmember, the king cannot offer to help the pauper because he knows not his problems. Only the pauper can help himself and others like him because he knows whats wrong. |

Im tired of all of this bull crap that is going on in Nigeria. Since the leaders of Nigeria dont want change, we must secede and ressurrect Biafra! How can 25million igbos be treated as a minority? Hausas and Fulani combined are 30million and they are obviousley the minority! They think we can be herded like cattle. now it is best for everyone to go their separate ways- Biafra must be ressurrected like it or not, peace or war |
