Wadeoye:Watch what kind of nonsense you post here. He is Rivers minority not an Igbo. Rivers minorities speak and understand Igbo in concordance with their indigenous language. He only brought out his middle name "ebere" to bring support from the Igbo people just as I think Ribadu or Buhari brought out their middle name "abubakar" to gain support from North. Our term is 2015, like it or not |
It is true, the East powers Nigeria. Only a fool will disagree. Other than our oil, what else is funding Nigeria? Do you think that Hausa nnama and granut can sustain them? |
My guy, who you think say you be sef? You dare say that I do not know what I am speaking of? When did you see me say anything about Yoruba in my reply? Are you hallucinating? I said that all enemies of the Igbo must be brought to shame and I will continue to say so. You are a clear example of how Igbos hurt each other by siding with Hausas such as Alj Harem. Let us not seek to divide ourselves. Ijaws are our brothers, We Easteners must unite to protect ourselves because if we don't no one will. Do you think IBB gives a damn about your wellbeing? Hausas and Igbos cannot mix because Hausas accept nothing other than Islam. Continue to deceive yourselves but like it or not, we shall over come. 2015 is ours! macjive01: |
EzeUche i support you!!! The other day I was an avid supporter of GEJ, but within a few days he resembles a shaky man. To tell you the truth i do not know who to support anymore. If I look forward it's GEJ kissing up to North if I look back it's more North. Everywhere i turn it's North, North, North. All I am saying is that in 2015, Northern Nigeria must forcibly give up the presidency. I don't care if it takes 100 deaths or 1 million deaths, Igbo must rule Nigeria 2015 like it or not. If you think I'm joking, prepare to see me on the news! |
Chuks, have faith. We Can make it and we will. Akwa anyi bu ndiIgbo? Anyi ma mmere. Weeeh ndidi |
This Alhaji guy ticks me off. You must be one of those Hausa men that roam the streets of Aba selling cheap Gold and suya abi? Na dat be why you think say you be Igbo? Anyway I support half of what you guys are saying. In the world, No one gives a shi shi about us. We are the forgotten giants of Nigeria, the first ones called to work the fields bur the last ones to reap the fruit. Things like thus boggle my mind. Why fellow africans will abuse others in such a way because of jealousy, greed, and supposed numeral advantage. Hausaland is a harsh-dry savannah inhabited by pastoral peoples but yet they claim to have 35million + population. I wont go into that matter for now, but if I had the might financially, I would declare an Igbo jihad against all enemies of Ndigbo. All our people would leave Lagos Kaduna Kano Ibadan and work in Enugu, Aba, Calabar, PH, Onitsha. PH would be the new Lagos. But for now my brothers and sisters we must just survive and wait. Our chance is coming and by the time our enemies realize it it would be too late. Nigeria ga bu obodo anyi. Ndigbo mekota olu maka Owuru ndi Amannagwu wo masi ohabuike. |
Just like Felas lyrics were prophetic as a musician who saw tomorrow, ChristvIgbokwe recorded many songs that could be said to also see tomorrow. "I request my Igbo People to listen to these lyrics titled "Umu Igbo teta" transled in english to Igbos wake up from your slumber!" the contents of these tracks are considered to be the Igbo national anthem. We Igbos must unite to the tune of this anthem and grab our rights by force if necessary. A few of us are saying in 2011 comes a president of Igbo extraction, Jonathan, but woa this is not true! My brothers and sisters Jonathan is not an Igbo like us, rather a fellow inhabiter of Our East, explaining why many of us are supporting him in his vie for elections. If Jonathan a mistaken "Igbo" leads us in 2011, who will support us when we say Igbo 2015? Jonathan is not the problem, rather it is those of us who acclaim false assumptions. When Jonathan Nd Anenih were asked what section of the nation they would handover power to, they remained silent. Jonathans latest alignment with the old devils of the north, IBB and friends, suggest that northern Nigeria expects the presidency by 2015, but my brothers and sisters we say NO! Our SE region is the only region that has not assumed the presidency since independence and 2015 is our year!! We must grab our rights wether by bloodshed or peace or if Not, the next tune we will be hearing is Igbo 2019. Our supposed countrymen in the North have obsesively withheld the presidency from us and it must be known that 2015 is our year, like it or not. -African News Newspaper. |
I am not basing anything on region or ethnicity That was my first sentence. Second of all I am not saying that Ribadu is this ir that ir Buhari is this or that, what i am saying is that Nigeria must be shared among it's citizens and not one group or one region should dominate Nigerian politics. If Nigeria, ever since 1970, has had a leader from every aspect of our nation wether it be Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Bini, Efik, Urhobo ect. And we still had these results, I would say FINE, let there be another Northener or another Southerner or whatever since despite their background they still produce the same results. But that is not the case. From 1970-2011 (41years), Nigeria has always had a leader of Northern extraction with the exception of Obasanjo and etc., while there are 249 other groups that are excluded. At the hands of these Northern Men, we have resulted in the situation that we find ourselves now. If Igbos were leading for those 41 years, I would still be making the same argument I am now and the same for Yoruba or any other. Didn't IBB OBJ and others promise to tackle the sane problems that Rivafu Atiku and Buhari are now promising? It is this naiveness that puts us in this condition. I promise you if you continue to support the likes of those men, four years from now you will still be complaining of these problems. Let's give GEJ s chance and see what this man can do for us. I am not saying that he is the best, but let us see what he can do for us. My case has been made. ![]() |
My friend enough with this nonsense of Buhari. Buhari himself is a criminal even worse than the likes of those listed. Of those men that you listed werent at least 50 % of them norhteners? And you want us to help you institute another Northener so that their chain can continue? Your plans will never succeed. As far as I know, Nigeria does not belong to only one thnic group but 250. Out of the main three Hausas and other northeners have been given too many chances but they still messup. Let Northern Nigeria cool down for some time, their chance has gone let other people play ball. You cannot always be a ballhog and make no goals. I am not urging you to vote for Jonathan but you cannot deny that since he took seat as president, everything has improved but there is still a long way to go. We have better roads, active road construction, tough security, and shaky but present electricity. If you want progress in ypur lives and for Nigeria say "GOOD LUCK NIGERIA!" |
I am not trying to play the ethnicity problem but I'm tired of seeing Northerners fighting for the election wether it be Ribadu Atiku Buhari IBB ect. Northern Nigeria has had it's chance, tjey should remember that they do not own Nigeria. Let us give GEJ a chancE and see what he can do for us. Everyone is saying Igbo 2015, but weren't they the same people that said SS 2011? Now look. These northern guys shod sit down they do not own Nigeria give everyobeca chance. Look at how much Jonathsn has done for us in his short 2years : better roads, greater security, steadier bit still shaky electricity etc. VOTE for JONATHAN and say GOOD LUCK NIGERIA! |
Are my eyes decieving me? |

Sudan, a nation with a Muslim herding north and a Sedentary agricultural South is experiencing a civil war and the nation was divided so that peace would reign. Hmmm I wonder what nation this reminds me of, ? |

Manchester don die ever since dem boot C. Ronaldo |
And once again the supposed owners of Nigeria, the reversers of progress, revolt when we finally take a step in the right direction. ![]() |
In a short time, we Nigerians will be graced with a new president, who plays a critical role in our nations future. After the excitement of elections, whats next? What do you think that he should do first? |
It's true. The Hausa language is a Semitic language related to those found in the middle east. Also the Hausa and Fulani languages come from the Afro-Asiatic language family imunlike Igbo and Yoruba which both come from the Niger-Congo language family . Well that's my 2cents. ![]() |
Adamma means beautiful first daughter. The lines "I go tell my mama, oh yes, and I got tell my papa, oh yes, and I go tell am say you be waka waka babe, oh yes, wuru wuru babe, " basically mean that she is a corrupted and bad girl. |

olabukola:Onwe ndobula no eba wu ndi "Ibo" anyi wu "Igbo". |
soserious:Hey soserious, a few tips while learning Igbo are: remeber, think like an Igbo when speaking it not like youre speaking English because thigns like adjective order and verb use come into place. For example in Igbo "ulo ukwu" meaning "big house" would result in "house big" if literally translated into English. Another way is to live and work with native speakers so that you will understand the language naturally rather than memorization. With this in mind, Good luck! ![]() |
ifyalways:In the traditional Igbo that i was taught, And isnt deaf: nkiti? or ntiike brain: oburu-isi doctor: (Native doctor) dibia And i personally dont like these new modern Igbo words. Igbo is a traditional language and in my perspective, there doesnt need to be a word for everything. Thiese new Igbo words are confusing, and ikwurugi eziokwu I doubt they will ever become popular. |
Monkey go work, Baboon go laugh ![]() |
Thank you Naiah and Matazzmagi. You people claim that the Igbo are "venomous" while on my post I did not include any of your names but yet look qt your sadly foolish and flat-minded responses. I would support a one and united Nigeria any day but it seems that that isn't possible. All of you who think that Nigeria is as democratic and fair as any country are terribly mistaken. Look at Ghana, the main rival of Nigeria. Why are they poorer than us but yet ahead? It's because they have excluded Religion from politics and have secluded the Northern mohammedans to the north of their nation. In Ghana there is no Islamic caliphate that dominates the govt. That is why the Christian south is so successful in leading. Once religion (ESP. Islam ) is involved in govt, then money becomes the centre-point of the government. Wasnt it Islam that collected special taxes from all non-Muslims in various Islamic empires such as that of the Ottomans, the Abbasids, Ummayads and today--the Hausas. These ancient empires forced their populations, economically, to convert to Islam in order to receive economic benefits, and that is what is happening today in Nigeria. If you no be Muslim den you no go chop. By economically secluding other ethnic groups (tribe is a very crude word and refers to one of the many subdivisions of an ethnic group for all who didn't know), The community of Muslims and Northeners are creating another requirement for presidency (conversion to Islam). Northerners deceive us by placing our people as their junior servants (as in the case of Yar Adua and Jonathan. But God said that it shall not be so, and took the life of Yar Adua and replaced him with Jonathan, The first Easterner (though not Igbo but Igbo speaking ) to ascend the presidency since the days of Independence. I prophecize that Jonathan will win the upcoming elections and continue to receive factor from us all around the world and in Nigeria. I have stated my point and you all can continue to bicker and argue and do whatever you please with your lives. Everyone of you here know that what I have said is correct, and if not, pray that you may become awakened before it's too late. And P.S. My English is grade A ![]() Odiegwu ooh |
@alj harem I am the narrow minded one while you ask "Why must there be an Igbo president?" there should be one because EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE. Every human being in Nigeria has a right to be president. There are three main groups which makes it a 1:3 chance that an Igbo man can be president, but everytime it is the other two that win. I am simply advocating the cause if my people and speaking for them. Jonathan is not an ethnic Igbo, Igbo speaking does not mean Igbo. We all speak English it doesnt mean we are ethnic English . I am also not an ethnocentric person. I love all ethnic groups whether it be Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Ijaws, Fulani or Efik. We are all Gods people. What I hate is when one group uses their power tower over another and deny another if their basic rights as human beings born in Nigeria. Unlike you, I am a well versed guy in history and politics and I cam spit out the history of each ethnic group. Hausas are pastoral people who hail from the Sahel region. They traded with the Trans-Saharan Berber peoples of North Africa and pioneered Islam, the first monotheistic religion to penetrate into w. Africa, into Sub-Saharan Africa. Modern day Hausas gave lost the devotion to God that their ancestors had (not all of them), and have devalued terms such as Alhaji, Caliph and Sultan. These terms have become simple prefixes that are used to intimidate other peoples. I love Nigeria, and you want me to leave you alone? NO I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE UNTIL YOU LEAVE MY PEOPLE ALONE. Owuru inasuIgbo nuru nka Ndigbo diike. |
@ Alj and Jason Do you see how Narrow minded you are? Goodluck Jonathsn Hails from the East doesn't he? His middle name "Ebere" means he is from an Igbo speaking group in the East and FYI Ebere means mercy in Igbo. Goodluck Jonathan is the first true president ever since the "return of democracy" in 1999. Infact, the only true leaders that Nigeria has ever had are Abubakr Tafawa Balewa (who is one of the most humble leaders in our history, Nnamdi azikiwe, Awolowo, and Goodluck Jonathan. I will not go into detail about what Jonathan has done for us because u know you all know. Now, Alhaji Harem, shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself? You call yourself an "Alhaji" meaning one who has ventured to the holy dwelling place of God, and has ventured as close to God on earth as possible. But your character statescthat you have been to the greatest pits if hell. You have no respect fir foreign ideas and people and you and your people continue to hide behind the prefix "Alhaji" and try to use religion as a median by which to uphold power. You are nothing like a follower if God but yet you dare to place the sacred name of Gid before your wicked name (I am not a Muslim). I am greatly sorry fir you and yur character, and incase you don't know your title means nothing in my land. Who thought that someone like you could have Gone so close to God but yet you act like a Goat. Learn to respect other peoples, If not I will teach you to. Nigeria has 100s of ethnic groups and if you can't handle variety I suggest you go backbto Niger republic. (I hear your people are thieving from that nation too). |
Odiegwu ooh, I am currently speechless. The most I can say Now is that many people are still asleep despite the good comments I have seen here. The message must still be spread. It may seem as if nothing is happening, bur there is an entire world of unseen underneath each of us. The ascension of an Eastern president is the first stage in change, and much more has to be done. Please continue with the feedback I would like to hear each and every one of your responses. |
