Arsenal new manager, Unai Emery backroom staff has been confirmed today. Recap that the former Paris Saint Germain gaffer succeeded Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.


It was learnt that Arsene Wenger’s former assistant, Steve Bould retains his position.

The Oyo state government has taken responsibility and custody of the child through the child welfare unit of the state government. Dr Ajimobi reiterated her commitment to improving the quality of life of children and urged the young parents not to be irresponsible to the role of training their children but care for the children with the required nourishment and basics of life. In the meantime, case work intervention is on going on the issue so as to bring it to a logical conclusion. R&B star Ne-Yo has become a father for the fourth time.
The Closer hitmaker and his wife Crystal Renay welcomed a son named Roman Alexander-Raj Smith on Thursday (14Jun18), and the new mum took to Instagram on Friday (15Jun18) to announce his arrival.


“Born 6-14-18 at 2:11 pm 6pd (pounds) and 15 ounces 19 inches long,” she captioned a post revealing his name. “He’s so BEAUTIFUL.”


Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, has yet to comment on the latest addition to his family.


Roman is a little brother for the couple’s two-year-old boy Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr., while the singer is also dad to daughter Madilyn, seven, and six-year-old son Mason, his kids with his ex-fiancee Monyetta Shaw.

Ne-Yo previously confessed he had mixed feelings after learning he and Crystal were expecting another son, because he had been hoping for a second daughter.


“I’m excited but I was banking on another girl because I have two boys already,” he told People.com back in January (18). “I wanted to have two boys, two girls.”


Ne-Yo was also keen to grant daughter Madilyn’s wish for a little sister: “My daughter is my oldest,” he explained. “When we found out it was a boy, she just started boohooing (crying). She so desperately wanted a little sister, so badly.”

Days after he opened up about the new baby’s gender, Crystal sparked rumours suggesting she had already given birth by posting a “throwback” photo of herself holding a newborn in a delivery room.


Fans started offering up their congratulations, but Ne-Yo subsequently made it clear it was an old picture, and urged followers to pay attention to the caption.

“If you read the caption under the picture, it stated that, ‘OK, this is from when our son, our one-year-old… was born,'” he told news show Access Live on 31 January (18).

“We’re only five months in (to the new pregnancy). We’ve got some time y’all…! But I do appreciate how quick everybody was to jump in with congratulations and all that. That was cool.”

Arsenal have announced midfielder Granit Xhaka has committed his future to the Premier League club by signing a new "long-term" contract.

Switzerland international Xhaka featured in all 38 Premier League games in the 2017-18 season, starting 37 and making a single appearance off the bench.

"Hi Gunners, it's Granit, I'm happy and proud to sign a new contract here for Arsenal," Xhaka said in a video message posted on social media. I hope for good results in the future."

FIFA has appointed 43-year-old Sandro Meira Ricci as the centre referee for Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup opener against Croatia on Saturday.
Ricci will be officiating in his second FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The Brazilian will be assisted by his compatriots Emerson De Carvalho and Marcelo van Gasse, who will be first and second assistant referees respectively.

Ricci is famous for being the first ever referee to validate a goal by the means of goal-line technology, in his debut match as centre referee in the 2014 World Cup.

Nadal endured a nervy conclusion to the final, however, when he needed treatment in the fourth game of the final set for a finger injury before sealing victory on a fifth match point when Thiem fired a backhand long.

“It’s really incredible. I played a great match against a great player,” said Nadal.

“I had a tough moment in the third set with cramps in my hand. I was very scared but that’s sport — it was very humid.

“To win 11 times here — it’s fantastic and not something I ever dreamed of.”

In their previous nine meetings, all on clay, the man who took the opening set went on to win the match.

That scenario loomed again with Nadal going to 2-0 in the second set on a fifth break point as Thiem fired another backhand wide.

Thiem wasted a break point in the seventh game as Nadal collected a time violation for taking too long to serve.

The world number one saved it and went on to secure a two sets lead when yet another backhand from the Austrian drifted wide.

Thiem was under the cosh, saving four break points in the first game of the third set before Nadal inevitably broke for 2-1.
Bizarrely, Nadal then halted playing in the fourth game complaining of pain in his left hand and stretching his middle finger.

He still won the game anyway before summoning the doctor and trainer courtside.

Whatever the problem, his dominance remained and a love game took him to 4-2 before he eventually sealed victory on a fifth match point when the Austrian fired another backhand long.

Super Eagles assistant captain, Ogenyi Onazi has dismissed reports he and the national team captain, John Mikel Obi are having a rift in camp ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Nigerian singer Madrina formerly called Cynthia Morgan recently made a return from what is considered a one-year break.


In a new interview with Victor Okpala on NET TV, the singer revealed that she has parted ways with Jude Okoye’s record label -North Side Inc and has now continued her journey under a self-owned label.


Speaking on what spurred her action, the singer explained that even her contract with North Side expired last year (2017) and even though the label proposed to renew her deal, she declined because she wasn’t happy with the deal.

“My contract expired with North Side last year. They actually wanted me to resign, but it wasn’t a good deal”. She went on to detail that her move was dictated by the need to be happy. “I wasn’t happy with the deal, with the label – with everything. It was business for them, but for me, music is life. Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has urged fans of the team not to panic over their recent loss to Czech Republic in their last warm up game before the start of the World Cup in Russia.

Manchester United have announced the signing of full-back Diogo Dalot from Porto on a five-year deal.

The Portugal Under 21 international was bought for £17.4million and has the option to stay an extra year in his contract.

The 19-year-old who can also play left back helped Portugal win the 2016 UEFA European Under 17 Championship, scoring twice in five games in Azerbaijan including once in the final against Spain.

On signing the teenager, United coach Jose Mourinho told the club's official website : 'Diogo is an extremely talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club.

'He has all the attributes that a full back needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality, combined with a Porto Academy mentality which prepares players for the maturity they need at the professional level.

Belgium has named a strong squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

However, Chelsea forward, Michy Batshuayi, Thorgan Hazard and Adnan Januzaj were dropped from the squad.

The team is made up of stars like Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Dries Mertens, tipped to succeed on the international scene.

Belgium is in a relatively straightforward group, featuring Panama, Tunisia and England.

Chelsea have announced plan to suspend the construction of a new stadium. The club was expected to begin construction next season.

According to reports gathered from Chelsea camp, the reason was after the owner of Chelsea, Abrahamovic wasn't granted citizenship despite his investment in the economy of England.

The Russia billionaire has decided to hold all plans to build a new stadium and also revealed he won't invest in the club following the country's government refusal to grant him citizenship.


The statement via Chelsea official site reads:

Chelsea Football Club announces today that it has put its new stadium project on hold. No further pre-construction design and planning work will occur.

The club does not have a time frame set for reconsideration of its decision.

The decision was made due to the current unfavourable investment climate.
