PoliticsAbure’s Visit To Wike Confirms Where His Loyalty Lies – Labour Party by Ofunaofu(op): 7:05pm On Jul 13, 2025
The Labour Party (LP) faction led by Senator Nenadi Usman has declared that the recent viral photograph of suspended former National Chairman Julius Abure in the company of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has confirmed long-standing suspicions about Abure’s allegiance.

In a strongly worded statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, Ken Asogwa, Senior Special Adviser (Media) to the Acting National Chairman, said the image was “proof” that Abure has chosen to align himself with political forces opposed to the party’s values and progress.

The statement read, “While Mr. Peter Obi is diligently focused on addressing critical national issues, and Senator Nenadi Usman is attending high-level meetings abroad with his full consent—both working in the supreme interest of the Labour Party and the Nigerian people—Barr. Julius Abure, the suspended former national chairman, is busy hobnobbing with the very forces that are hell-bent on annihilating the party.”

Asogwa accused Abure of betraying the party’s mission by fraternizing with political actors responsible for the “systemic collapse” the Labour Party is working to overcome.

“Instead of standing with the people, Abure is seen wining and dining with the sponsors of oppression, tyranny, and electoral malpractice,” he said. “His actions lend further credence to our long-held position: that Julius Abure is not just unfit for leadership, but a willing tool in the hands of external forces bent on destabilizing the Labour Party from within.”

The LP also accused Abure of abandoning the party during key moments, including local government elections in Lagos and gubernatorial campaign launches in Anambra, Kogi, and Edo States.

“He went completely missing at critical times when the party required leadership, unity, vision, and strategic grassroots mobilization,” the statement added.

The faction reaffirmed that Abure remains suspended, and insisted he no longer holds any legitimate position within the party.

“His dereliction of duty, compounded by his ongoing fraternization with political adversaries of the New Nigeria vision earned him suspension from the party. His constant romance with these outside forces raises a fundamental question: Whose agenda is Julius Abure truly serving?” Asogwa queried.

Concluding, the LP called on Nigerians to judge for themselves, asserting that the Labour Party must be “rescued, rebuilt, and returned to its true owners — the Nigerian people.”

“It must not, and will not, be left in the hands of crooked individuals who trade its soul for personal gain, while others continue to make sacrifices for a better, fairer, and more just Nigeria.”

PoliticsRe: Humility Is Not A Campaign Strategy, It Is A Lifestyle” - PO. by Ofunaofu: 5:24pm On Jul 13, 2025
Those who went to town with it and turned it into a political campaign strategy are the bitter Agbadoos frustrated by Tinubu's calamitous regime. Instead of focusing on their Dlord, who is responsible for their frustration and anguish, they have decided to vent their anger on the wrong person, someone who has no hand in it.
PoliticsKwankwaso In Talks With ADC Coalition – Babachir Lawal by Ofunaofu(op): 5:17pm On Jul 13, 2025
Former Secretary to the Government, Babachir Lawal, has said that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, is currently in talks with key politicians in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.

Lawal said several powerful politicians from both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ADC have been meeting with Kwankwaso in an effort to bring him into the coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said Kwankwaso is a well-known politician who would be very valuable to any political party.

Lawal said that having Kwankwaso on their side would be an advantage, adding that many members of the coalition are eager for him to join.

He added that the ADC coalition is not focused on political party names, but rather on attracting strong individuals who have large followings in their communities.

“I am aware that people have been holding meetings with Kwankwaso.

“And clearly, Kwankwaso is welcome in the ADC coalition because he belongs to the group of influential figures who can bring a large following.

“Whether Kwankwaso joins with just his supporters or along with the NNPP, Lawal said they would be welcomed either way,” he said.

When asked whether the ADC coalition is targeting the NNPP party structure, the former SGF said the movement is more about people than party platforms.

“The coalition is not about political parties, but about individuals moving into it. It is not the logo or letterhead paper that we’re after. It’s the people who make up those parties. They can come in individually or in groups. They are welcome,” he explained.

Lawal also suggested that even if Kwankwaso himself does not join, some of his supporters may still move over to the ADC on their own.

Lawal explained that even if Kwankwaso himself doesn’t join the ADC, many of his supporters are likely to join on their own.

He added that some NNPP local government branches might merge with the ADC, even if the party’s national leadership chooses not to.

He said many influential individuals are already joining the ADC from other parties, but are doing so quietly.

“Big individuals in the states are joining the ADC, but they are not saying they are joining us from the NNPP or the PDP. Atiku joined the ADC and he didn’t say the PDP is joining the ADC.”

He concluded by saying the coalition is focused on the grassroots level, where politics truly matters.

PoliticsRe: 2026: Bisi Akande Warns Against Governor Adeleke’s Defection To APC by Ofunaofu: 4:22pm On Jul 13, 2025
sreamsense:
If I were you and a true supporter of Obi and ADC, I will use the opportunity to bring Adeleke since ADC has no single serving governor yet. ADC is still structureless as at now. APC have more than enough governors while ADC has none and Labour party has "half of one" on the sideline of LP crisis that may even decamp at anytime he wishes. Can you still remember what impact of serving governor may be? Ask Wike how he did the magic of Tinubu in 2023 that opposition were left stranded
The only 'magic' Wike did was the kind that disappears ballot integrity. Let’s not pretend it was political genius, it was rigging, plain and simple. Tinubu isn't banking on popularity or performance; he's relying on the same playbook of manipulation because he knows the masses can’t stand him.

You talk about structures, yet forget that the most important structure is the People
As for ADC and Labour, we may not have dozens of compromised governors, but we have credibility something Tinubu and APC lost a long time ago. Power built on fraud is a house of cards. And guess what? 2027 is coming with a wind strong enough to blow it all down.
if they refused to count the votes, we count the people
PoliticsRe: Only Federal Elections Should Concern Non-state Indigenes by Ofunaofu: 1:47pm On Jul 13, 2025
aribisala0:
What was the purpose

Yes you are right an Ibo man became Head of State after the murderous Ibo coup of 1966 that plunged the country into chaos which we are yet to recover from

The usurper stole power by murderous force

Now we hope to maintain a democratic future

And without that kind of violence of 1966 in a democratic era and Ibo will never be president

I already answered the constitutional question you are choosing to ignore the answer.

The answer is the constitution does not say an Ibo man cannot be president but in practice he cannot
How many Yoruba people are councillors in Anambra or Enugu

Spare us the silly hypocritical questions
That is your answer. You are being a hypocrite asking such inane questions
First, let’s establish one thing clearly: ethnic profiling and historical revisionism are not valid arguments in a democratic conversation. Referring to the 1966 coup as an "Igbo coup" is not only factually misleading but dangerously reductionist. The coup involved young officers from multiple ethnic groups, and its consequences were felt across the nation not by one region alone. Trying to hang the blame for Nigeria’s enduring challenges on one ethnic group is the kind of divisive rhetoric that continues to set us back as a nation.

The beauty of democracy lies in possibility, not tribal gatekeeping. To say “an Igbo man will never be president unless by violence” is not just a lie, it’s a self-own you're essentially admitting that your preferred system isn’t really democratic, but ethnically rigged. That’s not a flex, that’s a failure of the nation.

You asked how many Yoruba people are councillors in Anambra or Enugu. That question deliberately ignores the massive political and economic privileges Yoruba people enjoy nationally especially in Lagos, where non-indigenes live, work, pay taxes, and often face systemic exclusion. So if we’re going to talk about fairness, let’s talk about it in full not selectively.

Finally, calling my question “sîlly” or “hypocrîtîcal” just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn’t make it any less valid. It's in the constitution that all Nigerians have equal rights, and no amount of name-calling will change that fact.

If we’re truly interested in building a better Nigeria, then the real work is in dismantling the mentality you’ve just displayed one that uses old wounds as excuses for present injustice. Enough of the tribál scapegoating. Let's move forward like citizens, not like ethnîc champions.

It is not

It is the reality on ground
You can speak all the English you like changes nothing

It is not written anywhere that an Ibo man can never be president but we all know that is reality. It is an unwritten reality
No Ibo man can be president in Nigeria
The purpose of my comment is not to debate whether an Igbo man or woman will become the president of Nigeria or not. The last time I checked, an Igbo man has been the Head of State of this country, which is essentially the same as being president, especially in a democratic dispensation. An Igbo man has also served as Vice President during a democratic era.

Nigeria did not begin to exist only in 1999. If we intend to give every ethnic group a chance to produce a president, it would take many years to accomplish that, considering there are over 200 ethnic groups in Nigeria.

However, the main point of this discussion is to verify whether the OP’s claim that non-indigenes should only participate in federal elections is supported by the constitution. You have already clarified that the answer is 'no.'

Therefore, I would like to call on Seun, Mynd44, Nlfpmod, OAM4J, and all other mods to delete this thread, as it poses a threat to Nigerian society, public order, and peace. It is capable of inciting chaos and widespread unrest.

We saw some people complaining that they weren't allowed to contest in the last L.G.A election in Lagos.

Let these people remember that this is a local government election. It belongs to the people living in that local government and you have to do their wishes... Everyone knows that state governors always win the local government elections for their parties, so why are people disturbing themselves?

What matters most is *INEC FEDERAL ELECTIONS* to vote in the president or senators/house of reps
.. No matter where you are in Nigeria, no one can stop you from voting whom you want as President.

Even in Governorship allow the state owners vote whom they want as Governor regardless of party. Obey the wishes of the indigenes, so long you are a visitor to the state. Nigeria is not yet ripe for UK or US politics.

However in Federal Election (President) no one can stop you from voting no matter where you are... You can live in Akure and Vote For Peter Obi like me, or you can be in Aba and vote Tinubu like others.
OP, please kindly quote where it is stated in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that non-state indigenes should only participate in federal elections

Lol, ADC are crawling and begging him to join them but Kwankwaso will never join them, he and Atiku are like oil and water, they don't mix. What does he even stand to gain with them?. Kwankwaso is his own boss, if he doesn't join President Tinubu, he rather stand on his own.
‘ADC crawling and begging’? That’s the kind of delusion that only comes from fear and jitteriness. The mere sight of the ADC coalition sitting with Kwankwaso has clearly rattled nerves especially within the crumbling Tinubu/APC regime.

Listen, this isn’t about begging, it’s about building a credible, united alternative to a government that has failed Nigerians on every front. Kwankwaso doesn’t need to ‘gain’ anything he is a force. He brings political weight, grassroots power, and a vision. Whether he joins the coalition or goes solo, one thing is certain: he will never be a pawn in a failing administration trying to dress up suffering as success.

Putindbutt, Instead of obsessing over who’s meeting who, maybe ask: what exactly is Tinubu going to tell Nigerians in 2027 that would make them want four more years of this mess?

Silly analogy from a typical agulu’s minion. Did Tinubu turn himself to a Fulani slave while forming the alliance? No, rather, he made himself the kingmaker and national leader of the newly formed party (The APC)
A kingmaker who later made himself king.
Secondly, did Obi not call the ‘saints’ who now make up the ADC, structure of criminality? 😂 We are happy now that at least, nobody is using ‘saintliness’ as their campaign weapon anymore like they did in 2023. We all know the agulu ballerinas’ plan. He has agreed to deputized your slave masters (the fulanis) but doesn’t know how to announce to his horde of unlettered followers yet because he doesn’t know how loudly they are going to bark yet.
No more religious war since Obi is now partnering with the so called religion fanatics and no more ‘saintliness’ since he’s now a part and parcel of the structure of criminality😂 Dear headless mobs, it’s time to defend your personal lord and savior, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; it’s time to apologize to him and ask for forgiveness for calling him criminal because the owner of the SE must not be offended if you really want to have that VP slot again just like he “dashed” you in 2019 😂
We shall be here to witness your U-turn and image-laundering tactics for Atiku and EL-Rufai. The campaign in the SE go funny die 😂 😂
When Tinubu aligned with the Fulani, it was “strategy.” When Obi explores alliances, it's “desperation”? Save the hypocrisy. Politics isn’t sainthood, your D-lord played the same game. Don’t rewrite rules just because the player changed.

By the way, I am not a fan of tinubu and I don't give hoot about APC.

If ADC cannot give the presidential ticket to Peter obi to enable the south complete their own 8 years, obi has no business of any coalitions with them.
Why didn’t you say that the APC should have given their ticket to the South to enable the South complete an eight-year tenure, when Tinubu formed an alliance with the North in 2015?

The ADC is not bound by the internal arrangements of the PDP and APC to rotate power between the North and South.

The ADC is focused on finding a candidate from any part of the country with the intellect, foresight, and capacity to defeat Tinubu and end this wicked and draconian regime
