Omanambala:

After all these , what is the contribution of Aro to Igbo land culture. Okolu gbagoo okolu gbadaa . Maybe they introduced the Chukwu variant of God but not Olisebuluwa, Chineke nor Chi. Aro is relatively new in comparison to Nri/Awka clans and NO Aro didn't bend anybody but you southern Igbo. Their foot solders were annihilated in the Nri/Awka areas and they never ventured that direction again. Their settlements like Izuogu, Ikelionwu took Nri cultures and up till today Arondizuogu practice Nze na Ozo.

No , Aro didn't introduce ogalanya , akwa ocha , killing of twins nor oliaku....Aro didnt influence Igbo culture the way you fraudulently trying to make it. These are some grave lies you cant prove. Nri/Awka don't play Ikolo , you southern Igbo do. Achebe's historical books were well centered on Nri cultural practices.

Again, Aro is relatively a recent settlement.

For the writer to have written "ogalanya , akwa ocha , oliaku" shows he doesn't even know what he is saying.

How did this happen? How did an Igbo thread get derailed into this now-tiring Benin-Yoruba feud?

Exactly what I have been saying @ RedboneSmith...

Nairaland, one of the most interesting forum I always read and learn from. Earlier in the thread, I said they should focus on the topic and stop arguing about stuffs that are not related to it, but the likes of Gregboy and Areafada will always want to show their little knowledge by starting up the Yoruba vs Benin supremacy or Anioma and their Igbo brothers, unfortunately for them TAO11 has schooled them so much, even in the topic Gregboy started up; eg '' Ayelala Is A Benin Worship Dont Mind The Yorubas For Claiming It '' .... lol . Read through that topic and you will laugh at the ignorance of Gregboy.. As for Areafada, when he sees anything Igbo, he begins to shiver. He will always want to lump 90% of Anioma to Benin, instead of to their brothers in the East.

Gregboy and Areafada, be proud of your Edo heritage, trying to claim superiority over the Yorubas or numbers from Anioma will not work.

Udo.

Your knowledge and writing skills give me joy . Ji si ke.

Mouthpiece in Igala is "Ukomu" no?

I never said that Onu is not an Igala title. I'm actually arguing that it is.
What I'm also arguing is that it means "lord" or King.
And that it is a cognate of "Olu" seen in Yoruba.

Maybe you need to look up the word "cognate" in linguistics.
For example, the Igala word for land "Ane", is a cognate to Igbo word for land, ie "Ana", "Ani" "Ala" and "Ali",depending on part of Igboland involved. [/quote]

IDENNAA:

Nwokem, you are disrespectful. You can't open a conversation with an insult.

I chose to start that way. Now read through Efe2real's last post which you commented on and claimed he was talking rubbish. Aren't you guilty of what he wrote about ? If you can't see it I will show you. "Let's not forget about the Aniomas that are referred to as fake Igbos already. "Imagine an Ugochukwu from Anambra is referring to an Ugochukwu from Delta State as fake Igbo. SMH" Why doubt Nwannyi Ogwashi ? Why question the igboness of the Western Igbos ? Why question and speak ill of the Western Igbos ? We both know where the majority of the deniers are in Anioma and it's definitely not Aniocha/Oshimili. Why validate what the likes of Efe2real and the rest think or believe ? Nwanne, biko this is 2020, sometimes it's best one stays quiet and watch things unfold or better still give matured answers if you have to write. Daalu.

How are you guys sure Nwanyiogwashi is not a south easterner impersonating a western Igbo ? Mind you , I am not saying she is not from there but hardly would you see a western Igbo who is very proud Igbo. Most of them are lily livered and even hate Ndigbo more than an average south south minority. They cant be trusted!

Idenna aka Odenigbo Aroli, I put it to you today that you are still a kid in your reasoning and utterances. Learn from Pazienza. For your information, abum nwa NRI.
