Who else noticed there was no answer in that 1/6 + 3/8 question?

The answer is 13/24 but I just picked 17/24, the nearest answer (which is also the only option that has 24 as denominator).

I think it should record your scores.

I ended after finishing the 60 questions, still having like 35 minutes left.

It's the simplest aptitude test I have ever seen. Thank God I didn't bother to prepare.

Didn't take me up to 20 minutes. I don't see any reason why I will not score 90% in this test.

Actually simpler than even UME I did about 2 decades ago.

Hi guys familiar with UK visa processes.

I today submitted UK visa application in Lagos here. I have a seminar in London in the next 3 weeks.

Key documents I submitted:

1, Letter from my company confirming they're sponsoring the trip
2, The letter states my annual pay, which is decently huge ( N17m). I work in the oil and gas industry.
3, My 6 months payslip

I have visited UK once in the past.

This is just a week trip.

Now, my worry: There was no bank statement (personal or company's) in my submissions. I expect that they don't expect an oil company not to be able to finance a N1m trip and the company's letter expressly confirms they are sponsoring the trip.

Can my visa be denied on the basis of there not being any bank statement? Do company letter and pay slips suffice?

Also, I understand it normally takes 15 working days minimum before UK issues visa. I have 13 working days between the date of application and my visit. I think I got for my last visit within 2 weeks. Could this application coming 13 working days before travel be an issue?

I will like to have the view and experiences of people familiar with UK visa processes on similar issues.

ECOWAS is going to be with us in any civil war trust me.
You're talking about ECOWAS as if it's one international force to reckon with.

No be the same ECOWAS - the body of West African countries - Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Liberia etc? Do these look like any country that can be a threat to Nigeria?

Nigeria is ECOWAS, ECOWAS is Nigeria.

Honestly i haven't but your case a bit difference because your salary is good and you are not paying for the trip.
Can they call for more documents or is their opportunity to add bank statement after submission?

You should have submitted your salary account and not just payslips. Though I don't expect them to see your company's bank statement if they are a multi-national company.

Finger crossed they will consider the fact that you earn far above average annually.
I just hope. It will be disastrous if the application is rejected. The hotel and flight booking are non-refundable and my employers wont be happy I made them waste money.

Have you seen anyone get visa before without submitting bank statement?

If your questions were prior to submitting application, we probably would be able to look at the pros and cons.
But you have already submitted your application, let's wait and see................
Your clue from past experiences may guide my expectation - whether not to be optimistic or not.

Orlando Owoh: I was on OAU campus last week, and I can say the structures look newer than the pictures here when the school marked it 50th anniversary. The Oduduwa Hall, Amphi Theatre, Faculty of Agriculture, Ajose Lecture Theatre, Health Sciences, Senate, Library, etc now wear new look. The football pitch is just like that of the Abuja Stadium.
Exactly my point. The pictures the OP posted were sourced from the internet, before the massive renovation in the last 5 years.

PropertiesCan 2m Build A 3 Bedroom Bungalow? by ofurufu(op):
I have two and half plots of land in my town(a semi-urban town) on which I plan to build a three bedroom bungalow.
I plan to start off with 1.5m next month, and before the end of the year, put another 0.5m. That is my budget.

I want to make it as simple as possible, cute and well designed.

I don't want to overburden myself. I want to marry next year by God's grace and it is my wish that I complete this project before marrying.

So with 2m now, can I dream of being a proud owner of 2 bedroom bungalow next year? This does not include cost of land, as I have land already. It also excludes cost of interior decor. With that 2m, I'm talking of completing it to painting, and tiling of bathrooms and toilets only.

I need advise please, preferably but not limited to people taht have travelled this path before.

Thanks

Dis Guy:
Just get a good travel agent or leave it to your wife to do the planning way before you go
If your wife never been to Ghana or SA I think you should go there
Remember you want a place that is 'SET' not where you get used to how things are done-shabby service
basically you go there and not have to worry about 'oga is not around' or 'the broadband is not working'
If you are spending more than a week then consider Obudu.
She has never been to Ghana. Neither have I. Ruled out Europe, much as I would have loved to, due to financial constrint.I penciled down SA and Ghana because those two are the African countries that are quite OK.

I have heard much about this Obudu too, and will love to be there. But she will definitely prefer SA.

Anyway, I'm still weighing the options for the three.

Hello,
The thing that brings omen to a couple is either how lavishly they spend for their wedding or their honeymoon.I advice you spend your Honeymoon at Obodu in Cross River State. It will be wise, than going to Ghana or S/A.The money will not be enough for that.Is good that you save for the future and not go a borrowing.
Great advice. Thanks. I'm becoming more and more convinced about Obudu, and may settle for it.
kufreabasi:
pay that money into my bank account and i will give you a space in my house for you to deal with your new wife the way you like, i can even deceide to leave my house for you if you don't mind since you don't know how to plan for your future
kai, u made me laugh aloud in office

Gamine:
Mr guy.

Why don't you just forget about the honeymoon altogether.

You will spend 100,000 on tickets to and fro.

N500,000 for a week at a hotel

and some more on miscellaneous items

Stop being a cheapskate.
N100,000 on ticket to and fro? Where?
By the way,I'm not a cheapskate. I'm an Economist by academic training, and I'm only looking for a way to maximize my benefit in the face of budget(N400,000) and time(1 week) constraints.
RomanceHoneymoon: One Week And With N400,000? by ofurufu(op):
I'm planning marrying soon by God's grace.

I've been 'dreaming' and considering how I will observe my honeymoon.

I can't get more than one week leave from my work and I don't want to spend more than N400,000.

Given these two constraints, can anyone advise on:
-Where we can go in Nigeria-already considering Obudu, etc
-What of Ghana or South Africa? Will that money be enough to spend one week in SA or Ghana.
