Of course we all are aware of the gist. But Vanguard no gree show us their faces. I was actually interested in knowing their faces, make i know whether my village neighbour follow. So i decided to ask google...see what showed me: More photos, http://www.ogainnocent.com/2015/12/could-this-be-photos-of-witches-that.html

The post has been front paged now. Ignore this post. Thanks to the mods for doing the needful. |
I have made a similar post before, on how posts are being front-page by bias and nepostism. Yes, Seun requested that I should show the link of the posts that were frontpaged but lacked the status quo and also those that worth it, but were not frontpaged. I co sidered it a task too herculean and waved it off. Now this is a post made yesternight and up till now, it has not reached front page. It is not as if it has a spam link or so...but it simply meant to end impunity and bring to the knowledge of the gover ment what is happening out there - which is the prime purpose of media. I have no personal interest, in the post but just to take the attention of the government to what some people are suffering. Even so many commenters have called on Lalasticlala, but nothing happened. But if it is a post that has a link of "Vivian gist" you see it at the front page immediately whether it has something to offer or not. I am not against if some people are being favoured or not, but let posts that have messages to convey be given attention, so that the government can function well. Nairaland is being run by the public, and the moderators should never in any way, think they have it all. There is no way you ignore the majority that makes Nairaland what it is and favour a microscopic few. However, if it is so, then let us know. I urge all nairalanders to see this with high sense of objectivity. Let's be the judge: does this post not worth front page? https://www.nairaland.com/2720908/laptop-fee-unn-causes-hardship |

This issue has obviously lingered. UNN belongs to the Fed. Govt.; let them intervene. Let me summarise: UNN VC, simply known as Dr. Ozumba compelled all the newly admitted students of UNN to pay 70,000 naira as Laptop Fee which the school will supply. The fee has caused a lot of hardship in the new intakes as it escalated the school fees to 170,000 naira. Acceptance fee: 25,000 School fees: 60 - 65,000 Laptop fee: 70,000 Accommodation: 10,000(boys) 11,000(girls) Total: 165,000 - 171,000 The students have expressed their discomfort with this to no avail. They are of the view that some have laptops already, some say that they can get a nice Laptop with just 40,000. Yet the case the case still remains "No laptop fee, no clearance in UNN" The SUG on their own have not done a thing concrete to reverse this. That's the summary of the status quo in UNN now. Here are some screenshots:

Abati got it all. Especially here: "The man who will save Nigeria is that leader who will engage Nigerians proactively on the issues of inclusion and cohesion, and thereby grant to every citizen, a sense of ownership beyond ethnic identity, a sense of belonging, and confidence in the Nigerian identity. When people relate to the state from a position of fear, and exclusion, they create the kind of problems we witness." But the issue us that Buhari's militarism cannot accommodate this. Buhari is too hard- hearted. GEJ told him not to ignore the National conference report, but can Buhari do that. Well, "The heart of a king is in the hand of God". I pray God touches his heart, so that we achieve all these struggles peacefully. Peace is my concern. #Buharipleaseactonthiswriteup |
Yea. Today is 29th october , exactly 5 months of Buhari representation. Let's do our own "Buharimeter" here. Just drop whatever you can remember he has achieved. My own comment: 1. Enforcement of the single account saga. 2. Increased hardship in Nigeria due to stagnacy of the government which culminated from the absence of ministers. Add yours |
Yea. Comic relief in deed but, possess some element of truth. |
I was minding my biz online before I saw this; so I decided to share. Read and appraise! Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new chairman for Microsoft Europe.Five thousand candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate is Ejike, an Igbo guy. Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asked those who do not know Java program to leave. Two thousand candidates left the room. Ejike says to himself, “I do not know Java but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I’ll give it a try. Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people to leave. Two thousand left the room. Ejike says to himself “I never managed anybody but myself but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me? So he stays. Then Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not have management diploma to leave. Five hundred people left the room. Ejike says to himself, “I left school at 15 but what have I to lose? So he stays in the room. Lastly, Bill asked the candidates who do not speak Serb-Croatian to leave. 498 candidates left the room. Ejike murmured to himself, “I do not speak Serb-Croatian but what do I have to lose? So he stays and finds himself with one other candidate. Everyone else has gone. Bill Gates joined them and said, “Apparently you are the only two candidates who speak Serb- Croatian, so I’d like to hear you have a conversation together in that language. Calmly, Ejike turns to the other candidate and says “Nnaa nsogbu dikwa o!”. (Mehn there is problem o) The other candidate answers “Nwanne ike gwuru!” (Bros I just tire) Bill Gates “You are both hired”. Don’t you just love Igbo guys. Any day, anytime, anywhere, they never give up. So don’t give up, you will lose nothing by trying more. |
