Dammy Krane‘s profile on Wikipedia has been updated with information and details of his arrest in Miami – the update according to his Wikipedia page reads,

‘On Friday 2nd June 2017, the Nigerian news circuit was set ablaze with surprising news that Dammy Krane had been arrested in the US for Grand Theft, Credit Card & Identity Fraud.
In the days that followed more details revealed that the talented Nigerian musician had used a stolen credit card to book a private jet from a company – Tap Jets – while on holiday in Miami. The company had detected the artiste’s fraud due to discrepancies in the credit card information he had provided.[8][9]. In the days leading to his arrest, the artist had shared a number of photos on Instagram which showed a lavish lifestyle and openly seemed to display wealth’.

Nigerian On-Air Personality and controversial social media character, Daddy Freeze has reacted to reports of Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane’s arrest in Miami, United States.

Recall that the artiste was arrested two days ago along with a Nigerian accomplice for credit card fraud, grand theft and impersonation.

In reaction to the arrest, the Nigerian OAP took to his social media page on Instagram to write: “This gentleman is a good person. One of the most respectful young people I know. One mistake doesn’t define him.

Born into a nation where money is king doesn’t help either.

Following the current JAMB UTME examinations, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Thursday vowed not to release results of candidates identified in footages of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) to have indulged in unwholesome practices during the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, who spoke as guest on a Channels Television current affairs programme, Sunrise Daily, said his agency had been busy in the past days reviewing recorded footages of the examination across the country, and that a number of candidates had been marked out for sanction.

Mr. Oloyede, a professor of Islamic Studies, was responding to a question by one of the anchors of the programme on why some candidates were yet to receive their results despite promises by JAMB to release outcomes within 24 hours.

According to family sources, the ex-Senator’s mum, who is widely referred to as Iya Lati, who passed on in the early hours of Saturday, June 3, 2017, is scheduled for burial in Lagos today,Saturday, June 3, 2017 according to Islamic rites. She is survived by children, one of whom is Senator Musiliu Obanikoro. Sources close to the politician noted that he has been thrown into a state of mourning.. May her soul rest in peace..

For the second time in three days, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has violated the conditions of the bail granted to him.

On April 25, Binta Nyako, justice of a federal high court in Abuja, granted him bail on health grounds.

However, she ordered Kanu not to grant media interviews and to avoid being seen in a crowd of more than 10 people.

But on Saturday, Kanu addressed a crowd of supporters, numbering more than 10, at his father’s palace in Abia state.

Kanu’s father is the traditional ruler of Isiama Afara, a community in Umuahia, capital of Abia.

Three days after addressing his supporters, Al Jazeera published an interview where Kanu was quoted as saying the bail conditions were too stringent.

Asked if the interview could get him into trouble, he was quoted to have said: “I don’t care.”

He also lamented the effect of the restrictions imposed on him.

“It’s like asking me not to breathe,” he said.

“I can’t go outside to call for a press conference. I can’t go on Biafra Radio to broadcast. I can’t allow large groups of people to basically congregate outside to see me.”

Since he left Kuje prison, where he spent 18 months, the Biafran activist has been receiving dignitaries at his father’s palace.

Kanu was arrested in October 2015 on an 11-count charge bordering on terrorism and treasonable felony.

Six of the charges, including that of terrorism, were struck out early in 2017.

After granting him bail, Nyako adjourned the matter till July 11 and 12, for a “definite commencement of trial”.

She was very popular and she's said to know top politicians. She lived at the alleged notorious Abedi Street of Sabon Gari, Kano, as a prostitute. The single mother of two was said to have spiritual powers so no one dared say anything bad about her. The comptroller general of prisons expressed appreciation to the assistance rendered by security agencies particularly the SSS and the police in arresting the fugitive. He urged the general public to continue giving information that will rid the society of outlaws like the Rabi Ismail. He assured that security measures have been strengthened to prevent persons in prison custody from escaping.
