PoliticsA Letter To Nigerian Youths! Ogahub by Ogashub(op): 12:18pm On May 30, 2017
LETTER TO NIGERIAN YOUTHS!

Throw Away That Degree Otherwise You Will Die Poor

Most of the educated people in Nigeria are poor. Majority of the educated earn less than N55,000 for a salary before tax and other deductions. When the deductions are put into consideration, the net salary comes to around N50,000. The net salary then suffers from loan deductions of up to N15,000 leaving the salary at around N35,000. The landlord then demands for his N15,000 and monthly shopping takes away N10,000 leaving one with a N10,000. The bus will demand for N300 going to and from work and relatives get another N2,500. The whole salary is gone and borrowed money starts operating. The borrowed money includes short loans and salary advances.

The difference between poverty and prosperity is property. A prosperous person has property to his name while a poverty stricken person has no property to show. Using this understanding, therefore, most of the degree holders are poverty stricken, borrowing money to buy chicken and chips, pizza, and a car.

The biggest excuse for getting paid such low amounts of money and having to sit and work for another person for 30 days is THE DEGREE that one possesses and that’s all. This has made most of the degree holders very poor to poverty stricken and will die that way most likely. A degree holder does not know how to generate money unless that money is generated for the employer. A degree holder is so dependent on the salary that he can do anything to get a job but will not think of starting a business of his own to employ others.

Interesting Facts!

1. A degree holder is not prepared to sell chips but is very happy to work for hungry lion (companies).

2. A degree holder is not prepared to sell popcorn in the street but is very happy to work for Dangote outlet in the city and mum river-sides.

3. A degree holder is not prepared to sell second hand clothes but is very happy to be employed by Zenith Bank which the business of selling stocks and looking for customers in a scorching Sun.

4. A degree holder is not prepared to make N150,000 monthly doing his own business but is very happy to work at the till in a bank getting paid N25,000.

5. A degree holder is not prepared to start a company and grow it in two to three years but will spend three years searching for a job.

6. A degree holder is not prepared to sell food to students but will be happy to be reporting to a boss with no qualifications as Office Assistant as long as he is paid N30,000 for a salary.

7. A degree holder is so eager to get out of this country and work in another country than spend time to develop his own country.

8. A degree holder staying in a foreign land (Nigerian) is very keen to condemn Nigeria but never contributing to the development of this country.

9. A Nigerian degree holder would rather sweep the streets of London or USA than start a business to make money in her father land – others work in people’s homes doing some work (cleaners).

10. A degree holder in Nigeria will watch porn on his laptop but never sit to write a book using the same laptop to sell and make money.

11. A degree holder will blame the government for lack of jobs even after he was on government bursary for him to have his degree.

12. Nigeria is blessed with young people who have master’s degree and others are doctors in different technical fields such as IT and Engineering but all of them have failed to create a cartoon character or develop a movie from the same instead very happy to buy Tom and Jerry for their children thereby promoting American and UK.

A school I visit, there is a man that is of very humble background. He does not speak English but sells Coke, Fanta and Sprite at N80 each making a profit of N10 on each drink. He also sells chips at N50 making a profit of N17 on each portion. Not less than 80 students buy chips and a drink every single day. This means he makes a profit of N27 for a drink and chips and a total profit of N2,160 per day…every single day. In ten days he makes a profit of N21,600 in twenty days N43,200 and in thirty days N64,800.

The degree holder working in a bank at the till gets a salary of N45,000 every month.

Why are the degree holders poor?

Because they have decided to pride themselves in a degree and failed to think better than a man who does not have even a certificate to his name.

Degree holders spend their time liking articles on linkedIn and facebook but never have any care in the world to implement what they like. Poverty starts from the mind, a mind that just likes things but never to implement those things.

If you want to progress, keep that degree and start thinking better than someone without a degree. There's no white collar Job anywhere bro!

Be prepared to get your hands dirty and work like an ox for your business. Your hard work will pay off.

Yours Sincerely. ..EMMANUEL KINGS FOR http://ogashub.com.ng

RomanceMan To Death For Cheating On His Two Wives In Somalia (photo) by Ogashub(op): 9:57am On May 30, 2017
Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia buried a man neck-deep and stoned him to death allegedly for cheating on his two wives. Dayow Mohamed Hassan, 44, was killed in the southern village of Ramo Adey in front of hundreds of onlookers.

Moalim Geedow, the regional governor representing the al Qaeda-linked insurgency, said Hassan was buried in a hole then pelted with stones.

He said: 'The man was married with two wives and children. He was publicly stoned to death today for committing adultery according to the Islamic sharia. The man had a third woman who was a divorcee. He did not have her according to sharia. He deceived her, saying that he went to a sheikh and that he married her. However, when the woman got pregnant, the two families debated and there was no trace of valid matrimony. The court ruled he did not marry her legally and he was stoned to death."

Since 2006, Al-Shabaab has been fighting a violent insurgency in Somalia to overthrow the government and impose its own strict interpretation of Islamic law. In recent years the terrorist group has lost control of many towns and cities to a 22,000-strong force of African Union peacekeepers. However, the group retains a presence in many villages and remains capable of launching deadly attacks.

This will not be the first time a man is being partially buried and then stoned to death for adultery by Islamist militants. In 2009, in the same Somalia, Mohamed Abukar Ibrahim, a 48-year-old, was buried in a hole up to his chest and pelted with rocks until he died in Afgoye, some 20 miles south-west of the capital of Mogadishu.

PoliticsNigeria Moving Towards Another Civil War – Pastor Tunde Bakare by Ogashub(op): 1:02pm On May 29, 2017
The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has issued a stern warning to the authorities in Nigeria. According to Daily Post, Bakare warned that Nigeria is on the verge of another civil war following the yet-to-be addressed incessant killings of other Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen. Bakare spoke during his sermon on Sunday, May 38 where he declared that Nigeria “is moving towards another collapse” with the division among different groups and violence in the country. Pastor Bakare warned that the activities of the herdsmen could endanger the nation's unity Bakare's titled “All Things are Ready,” warned that Nigerians might be forced to retaliate against the rampaging herdsmen. His words: “We are at the verge of another collapse, if care is not taken. We are pushing ourselves into the (edge of the) precipice of another civil war. “All these marauders, called herdsmen; if you don’t checkmate them quickly, and the people begin retaliation against what they are doing, we will begin to kill ourselves again. “And violence and corruption will rob us of the great future which God has for us.” Meanwhile, Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello has said that Nigerians should be grateful for the coming of President Muhammadu Buhari into power. According to him, Nigeria would have become a failed state had President Buhari not emerged victorious at the 2015 elections.

Romance20-year-old Girl Sets Boyfriend's House Ablaze In Ghana by Ogashub(op): 7:31am On May 28, 2017
Priscilla Berfi, a 20-year-old Ghanaian girl has rendered her boyfriend homeless after she recently set his house at Deduako in the Oforikrom Constituency of the Ashanti Region ablaze for allegedly cheating on her.
Pulse Ghana reports that there were no casualties recorded but the fire destroyed several properties.
Narrating the shocking incident, the boyfriend, Kofi Adusei said he had ceased taking care of Priscilla, who is pregnant due to her bad attitude and lack of respect towards him.

He said Priscilla visited him on the night of the incident but they had a misunderstanding so he decided not to spend the night in the same room with her.

According to him, he left the room and went to sleep in another where a second girlfriend was waiting for him.
'While relaxing in the other room, I perceived smoke and so I thought she had taken some of my clothing out to burn them. I really wasn’t bothered, but later I heard shouts and calls that my room is on fire, we rushed to see the room in flames with Priscilla nowhere to be found,' he said.
After the incident, Kofi however, reported the issue to the police and the suspect has since been arrested by Kwame Nkrumah of Science and Technology (KNUST) District Police Command to help with further investigations

PoliticsOurmumudondo Movement Calls For One-week 'online Rally' On Bad Governance by Ogashub(op): 8:25am On May 22, 2017
Our mumu don do

inform All Angry, Vexed, and Frustrated Nigerians that on Monday, 22 May 2017, the OurMumuDonDo movement will commence a one-week online rally for all Nigerians to vent their frustrations about the current preposterous state of things in the country.

The battle against criminally-minded politicians with audacious capacity for impunity and insatiable appetency for looting and impoverishing the nation has just begun. This battle is a battle between good and evil; a battle between the oppressors and the oppressed; a battle between the forgotten men and women in the slums who cannot afford one meal per day and the voraciously greedy looters we call leaders in positions of power; it is a battle between the struggling shoemakers on the streets and the seemingly untouchable politicians in Agbada riding ostentatiously in their criminally acquired fleet of exotic cars. The OurMumuDonDo campaign is a campaign to declare open the war between nationalism and criminality.

For too long, the masses have been promised good governance but failures and an unimaginable surge in the number of political criminals have been the only result. For decades, the youths have been appellatively called Future Leaders but the real leaders we have had are the incompetently recycled elements flagrantly running a gerontocratic government. Don't be under any form of illusion, there is no "we" in Nigeria... There is only "us" and "them". The only system in existence in Nigeria is the system that glorifies the criminal haves and demonizes the suffering have-nots.

Savages with capacity for incredible savagery have rendered the common man helpless, hopeless, and abjectly impoverished. They have turned our collective national wealth to a national cake for the oppressive minority. However, we have decided to stand against the oppressive rule of our grandfathers and old men in power. We, the suffering and disenchanted peoples of Nigeria, must catalyze the end of the prolonged era of gerontocracy with audacious looting and criminality. We must catalyze the end of the prolonged era of propaganda with no positive result in governance and the life of the common man. We must collectively and defiantly say that enough is enough! Enough of the failed promises and oppressive rule. Enough of seeing the same faces with no changes. Enough of glorifying criminality and demonizing nationalism. The time to fight for the survival of the suffering man and woman in Nigeria has arrived. There shall be no going back because every suffering Nigerian must speak up this time.

Starting from Monday, all genuinely concerned Nigerians must dedicate their hearts to wherever their strength lies. Whether it is Facebook or Twitter, Instagram or Whatsapp, Snapchat or Telegram, the only conversation we want you to be part of is the #OurMumuDonDo conversation. We want you to own the conversation and talk about the abysmal state of things in the country and where it pinches you the most. Together, let us stand and demand good governance.

This is not the time to propagate the political sentiments, religious sentiments and ethnic sentiments created by our common enemy. We will fight because we must. We will win because failure isn't an option. We will not be discouraged because we believe an injury to one is an injury to all. Our goal is a country where genuine leaders occupy positions of power. We shall no longer endure the era of scammers and riff-raffs. This is the time to come together and make Nigeria a better place for ourselves, our children, and the generations yet unborn.

CrimeMan Beats His Son To Death In Port Harcourt by Ogashub(op): 9:23pm On May 20, 2017
There are reports on Instagram about how a little boy was beaten to death by his father in Port-Harcourt.

Psycologist, Sri George who shared the story narrated how the parents of the boy usually starve and beat him on a daily basis, which led him to steal doughnuts from a shop.

Read The Full Details Below:

What a cruel world. This week Tuesday, between the hours of 8 to 9 am. I saw crowd of people around my vicinity gathered this little boy, so I stopped by and inquired what happened.

They told me this little boy on his way to school, stole doughnut from a shop. The people whom he stole the doughnut even gave him more of it and mineral and asked him to go.

They all claimed that his father and stepmum have the habit of starving and beating him to stupor on daily basis. I saw so many scars on his body.

I took the boy to my house, interviewed him, and he told me so many things. How he has been suffering since his mother left his father.

I gave him some biscuits, asked him to come and eat at my place anytime and promised to see his father this week before he left for school just to wake up this morning with shouting that his father has beaten him to death.

His father has finally killed him. This happened in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Romance11 Healthy And Beauty Benefits We Reap From Having Sex: by Ogashub(op): 1:38pm On May 20, 2017
health and beauty benefits we reap from having sex:

1. Keeps Skin Young AND Healthy
Sex increases blood circulation, which helps pump oxygen to our skin resulting in a brighter appearance. Hence: that after-sex glow. Regular sexual engagement has prolonged effects in this regard and can actually make us look younger. Sex boosts our natural collagen production, which staves off age spots and sagging. So simply put? More wrinkles in the bed equals fewer wrinkles on your face!

2. Boosts Immunity
You know the old saying, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away"? Turns out there was a typo in that medical journal. It should have said, "Having sex once or twice a week increases levels of an antibody called immunoglobin A (the stuff that fights off colds and other infections), which really keeps the doctor away!" So more sex means a stronger immune system. It's time to cash in those unused sick days as SEX days!

3. Makes Hair Shine
Hormones not only control our sex drive, but they affect the way our hair looks. Research has shown that a satisfying sex life results in healthy, lush hair due to the body's increased ability to receive and metabolize nutrients efficiently. Proof positive that Angelina Jolie and Catherina Zeta-Jones have healthy sex lives!

4. Produces Healthy Sperm
We know men are proud of their sperm counts, but now we are too! Several studies show that men who have frequent sex have higher volumes of semen, a higher sperm count and a higher percentage of healthy sperm compared to men who have infrequent sex. This is good news for women because research shows that semen helps us combat depression, boosts our energy and even helps us have a smoother delivery, if we're pregnant.

5. Reduces Stress
Life is stressful. And while there are many proven ways to cure stress: daily exercise, evening glass of wine, b*tch-fest with a BFF, morning meditation, a walk on the beach and so on—a good, old-fashioned sex session does the trick, too! Though blood pressure levels spike during the act itself, maintaining a healthy sex life helps us keep blood pressure and stress levels low.

6. Strengthens Nails
The same sex-triggered hormones that make your skin glow also make our nails strong, which means less splitting and breaking, and longer-lasting manicures.

7. Improves Heart Health
Want your guy to live to 100? Sex can help! Research shows that men who have sex 2+ times per week have a lower risk of heart disease than those who have sex less than once a month. Of course, I've yet to meet a guy who needed cardiovascular research to convince him to have more frequent romps in the sack, but isn't it nice to know we are helping our guys' hearts whenever we have sex?

8. Zaps Zits
Say bye-bye to acne treatments and miracle pills! Sex balances our hormone levels, which results in clearer skin. Probably good we didn't know this in high school...

9. Hydrates Skin
Now here is some real science for you: sex improves circulation, gives the body the moisture it needs to stay healthy. Translation: no more dry skin. Furthermore, having sweaty sex is like a facial for your skin, as sweat expels excess dirt from our pores. Your man: the sex god and the esthetician? Who knew?

10. Acts As A Natural Pain Killer
Oxytocin, one of the chemicals released during sex, increases endorphins and decreases pain, particularly headaches. So that headache excuse isn't going to cut it anymore! Sex also speeds up the healing of wounds, even stubborn sores like those suffered by diabetics. Before heading to the medicine cabinet, why not try a quickie first?

11. Sheds Pounds
Got a few pounds to lose but aren't willing to abandon your love affair with hot wings and chocolate cake? Sex could be an option! While it's not as productive at weight loss as more traditional cardio or strength training, we burn an average of 170 calories per hour of active sex, which is about a pound after 21 hour-long sessions. There are certainly WORSE ways to lose weight.

PoliticsIslamic Banking Will Help End Economic Recession -accountant by Ogashub(op): 1:12pm On May 20, 2017
Mr Ahmed Popoola, an accountant and Managing Director of Credit Bureau, a financial organisation, has said that Islamic banking will help to end the current economic downturn being experienced in the country.

Popoola made the statement while delivering a keynote address at the annual national conference of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) in Lagos on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the conference is themed ‘Pulling Nigeria Out of the Economic Recession’.

“Islamic finance is an alternative option worth exploring to raise funds for public works and to support the private sector access to finance.

“Worldwide, Islamic finance is no more peripheral to conventional finance as it is being operated in 75 countries, including western nations.

“People think that the Islamic financial system is based on faith, but it is based on justice for the two parties.

“Besides, Islamic finance system does not allow investments that harm people or the environment, thereby promoting sustainable finance,” he said.

The accountant, noted that the options that Islamic finance offers in funding public infrastructure and empowering small business would help bail the country out of recession.

Popoola also noted that Nigeria was experiencing recession for the second time as the country had experienced recession in the 1980s.

“Before this current experience of recession, the last time Nigeria was in recession was about 25 years ago.

“That was in 1987 when the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) recorded consecutive negative growth of -0.51% in the first quarter.

“Recession does not happen overnight, the ominous signs are always there. During the recession of the 1980s, the signs of things to come were apparent in the early 1980s when the then Federal Government declared ‘Austerity Measures.’

“The signs of the 2016 recession were also manifested in the preceding years. Real GDP growth slid from 6.3% in 2014 to 2.7% in 2015 and finally to a negative of -1.5% in 2016.

“Just as it was in the 1980s, Nigeria again, this time, found itself in recession because of the challenge of earnings from oil.

Popoola added that Nigeria was currently exiting the recession and that there have been recent improvements in the earnings from the oil industry.

He gave various suggestions where the country could overcome the recession and get on the path of growth and development.

“There needs to be a diversified economy and massive investment in infrastructure, there needs to be a re-orientation of Nigeria towards appreciating our products.

“Peace and stability have to be restored to all parts of the country as it is crucial and a pre-requisite for any economic development.

“Foreign direct investment needs to be nuances and the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) needs special attention as there is a need to separate SMEs development from poverty alleviation programmes.

Mr Abubakar Mahmud, the National President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), in his speech, said that the NBA and MULAN should collaborate on Islamic banking projects.

“I will like to thank Mr Ahmed Popoola for an enlightening speech, the NBA and MULAN should collaborate on a proposal on Islamic banking which can be adopted by financial organisations.

“When we look at national indices, we notice the inequalities between some certain groups.

“This becomes problematic in countries and developing Islamic finance can bridge a gap between the groups,” Mahmoud said.

The NBA president noted that his presence at the conference was to express support and solidarity for MULAN.

“I want to thank the leadership of MULAN for the leadership it is providing and I will like greater partnership between the NBA and MULAN,” Mahmoud said.

Another SAN, Alhaji Femi Okunnu, decried the low level of western education among people of the Islamic faith.

“I am extremely happy that muslim lawyers came together to form MULAN, the level of education among Muslims is very low; we are still behind in western education.

“If you look at the list of successful candidates at the bar exams in the law school, we still find that the number of Muslim brothers and sisters called to bar, compared to our Christian brothers and sisters, is as low as 10 to 15 per cent.

“This trend occurs in other professions such as medicine. Though efforts are being made in the northern part of the country, a lot still needs to be done in giving the Muslim child access to education.

The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Oluwafunmilayo Atilade, said the theme of the event was of high relevance as it affected every Nigerian.

Atilade, represented by Justice Kudirat Jose, commended MULAN for its strides in the justice sector.

“MULAN was created just 10 years ago and because of its successes in the justice sector, I thought it had been for a longer period.

“As lawyers, we should be a member of MULAN and make our mark in the justice sector.

“The theme for today and other topics to be discussed are highly relevant to us.
