Of course, elections are free. Or have you ever paid money before you can vote? If you followy conversation on this matter, what I said previously is, our elections are 100% free, but not 100% fair.
And when you say free you mean free in terms of you don't pay to vote?? Because free and fair in election contest doesnt mean paying to vote. It means election without interference

Is this the first time military has been used during elections in Nigeria? Didn't GEJ use? Didn't OBJ use? Buhari didn't start it. It's has been happening and the next president will still use the military, and the next president...until we no longer have too many desperate politicians that are willing to burn the country down just to secure political power at all costs.
So election has never been free

The truth is there has never been free and fair elections in the history of Nigeria, and this current elections was no exception to it. The 2019 elections were 100% free but not 100% fair. Nigerian politicians are to blame. They are the ones doing themselves.
Can you explain the word free in the election content if the military was used
PoliticsRe: Card Readers Transmit Accreditation Data And Not Voting Data - INEC by ogatboy(m): 7:51am On Mar 21, 2019
adioolayi:
PDP are MUMU

Everyone that voted in 2019 will know the election was free and fair. Yes, pocket of violence especially in the SS and SE.....overall, the election was miles ahead of what I have witnessed in 2011 and 2015.
In those years, the likes of Saraki, Akpabio and Ajimobi cannot lose this 2019 elections..... e.g. for Ajimobi, miracle figures would have surfaced from Ibadan SW, his stronghold. The use of card readers really dealt with politicians... even if they will rig, they can't rig more than the numbers of accredited voters, if they do..it is over voting and outright cancellation..No miracle figures anywhere.
The rigging tactics employed in 2019 was for strong politicians to cause mayhem in their opposition strongholds so that elections there can be cancelled....Just like what is happening in Rivers...that is the best they can do.
As for the Presidential election, the North has duped Atiku, he should move on...E actually lose square and wide!
What are you saying?? Why was the accredited voters data on Inec server not displayed to cross check if there was no over voting during collation if they really wanted free and fair election. Election was clearly rigged and if you say this election was better than 2015, then that is your opinion
PoliticsRe: Presidential Poll: INEC Credited Invalid Votes To Buhari, Atiku Tells Tribunal by ogatboy(m): 12:06pm On Mar 20, 2019

it's a pity laying claim to sultans utterances. this are leaders that are known for who they are.
does atiku pdp need Inec materials to pursue it case at the tribunal or any court of jurisprudence? it's a capital, NO.
even before the election comes to an end, before Inec final collation and announcement the winner already knows while the looser likewise does.
all political parties contesting have their field agent filing reports to their head office. all agents signed result sheets at polling units, ward level, local government collation offices even at state office before finally getting to the national collation centre. tell me they don't have a concrete evidence enough to challenge Inec and FG!?
it is normal, it is their right but we all know the truth and how it works but for our self interest we end up supporting courses that are wrong.
to answer your first question........ YES it is MY RESOURCE that is about to be wasted and squandered.
Are you an election lawyer?
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Insists Trader Moni Wasn't Used To Buy Votes by ogatboy(m): 7:32pm On Mar 17, 2019
Ijaya123:
All I see here are just arrogant expression of ignorance by loads of people concerning the Tradermoni Scheme. You can have your own opinion but you cannot have your own fact. Fact is sacrosanct.

Let me educate you about what you don't know about the scheme:

1. Tradermoni is still on-going and it is a scheme targeted at low class of the society like petty traders.

2. Those who have paid back the N10,000 interest-free loan, they are now getting another N15,000 loan. After paying back, they get another N20,000 and so on. It is in stages. I think N50,000 is the cap for this segment.

3. Tradermoni Scheme has been in existence since 2016. It became very popular after being implemented across the six geo-political zones in the country. The scheme was captured in the 2017 and 2018 budget which was passed by the National Assembly. I bet a lot of people do not know this.

4. The scheme is also in the 2019 budget that is before the National Assembly now, waiting to be passed into law. Feel free to check it up.

5. Another segment of the scheme is Marketmoni. This is targeted towards medium scale businesses, traders and artisans alike.

6. The first loan for this segment starts from N50,000. Subsequent amounts obtainable after paying up is N75,000, N100,000 and so on

7. The third segment of the scheme is called Farmermoni. I have little information about this segment so I'm not going to say something I don't know.

For those criticizing the scheme and calling it vote-buying, I prefer this kind of vote-buying than the type PDP did in the run-up to the general elections in 2015 when they emptied the CBN treasury into the pockets of some few friends and families under very frivolous reasons.

Happy Sunday to you all.

PhonesRe: Nigeria Ranked 4th In List Of Selected Countries With The Cheapest Data Plans by ogatboy(m): 8:30am On Mar 11, 2019
NaijaTechGuy:
Normally when it comes to cheap data plans I always tell people that Nigeria is one of the countries with the cheapest data plans in the world and I haven’t been too far from the truth. Take a look at at this graph from Statista.

https://i0.wp.com/www.naijatechguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/stat5266438653410740692.png

Nigeria ranks 4th in the list of selected countries with the cheapest data plans.

While a gigabyte of data would set Italian smartphone users back $1.73, the same amount would cost $2.22 in Nigeria, $2.99 in France, $6.66 in the United Kingdom and $6.96 in Germany. Costs are even higher in North America where they average $12.02 in Canada and $12.38 in the United States.

So should we give our Network Providers some accolades for giving us the cheapest data plans in the world?

https://i2.wp.com/www.naijatechguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/GIFs2019211670.gif

Nope. Definitely not worth a standing ovation especially if you check the fact that we have one of the slowest 4G speeds in the world.

https://i1.wp.com/www.naijatechguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/unnamed-18279717984854938622.jpg

Nigeria’s top 4G speed is placed between 9.5Mbps and 16.2Mbps, while Algeria’s slowest speed of 2.6Mbps is the worst in the world.

However here’s the plot twist, the country with the slowest 4G speed – Algeria’s top download speed of 16.4Mbps still beat the fastest speeds in Thailand (11.7Mbps), India (14.6Mbps) and Nigeria (16.2Mbps).

Now I feel they only deserve the accolades for constantly zapping our data. Nevertheless I feel ISP’s in Nigeria can definitely do better than this.

I'm sorry because the cost of living was not included. What is mimimum wage in Nigeria compared to the other countries. Data that will not last, is that one cheap??

Good afternoon. I have some good news. The new Abuja International Airport terminal is...mind blowing! As we alighted from the aircraft into the glass tunnel, you know that smell that usually hits you when you land in Nigeria? It wasn’t there. The AC in the tunnel worked. Thread.

It’s real, guys. This is Naija. I had arrived on Ethiopian Airlines with my work colleague, Duke, who is visiting Nigeria for the first time ever. Duke said “Wow! Now this is an airport!” We had come in from the dreadful Addis Ababa Bole Airport.

I just said “Yeah.”I didn’t feel the need to tell Duke it was new...until he asked. Boarding gates were spacious and nicely laid out. Comfortable waiting areas. Very clear signage everywhere. Yep! I checked: The clock displayed the right time. I was proud.

Yep! The automatic thermo-imaging machines work. This young man triggered a red image and was immediately pulled to one side.Toilets were clean and had toilet rolls in them. No pit latrines here unlike Idu Train Terminal. The wash basins were clean. Trust me nau, I tried the automatic soap dispenser. It worked.Immigration was a joyful experience.

I said “Good afternoon” to the pretty immigration officer and she said “Good afternoon, Sir. Welcome back home.” She stamped me in and said “Next!” That was it. The queue for Nigerians moved much faster than that of foreigners. As it should! You take your own trolley. No porters here. I counted 5 conveyor belts. I think they could have spread out each belt a bit more, but it was okay. Our luggage was out exactly 20 minutes after we touched down! That’s disembarking, clearing immigration, trolley & then luggage.

Wow!Then we were stopped by Customs! One stopped me and one stopped my friend Duke and asked what was in our bags. I said “I have brought him to Nigeria for the very first time.” They asked me “Oh, is he with you? I said “Yes.” They said “Ok you can go.”I was a bit miffed that they didn’t say “Welcome to Nigeria” to Duke.

Anyway, this sign made me feel better. That I could see a sign to the Metro from a Nigerian airport? Great! Yes, we should worry about maintenance. For me, I’ll just enjoy it today and be proud! Thanks!! End.
