It is not about shaming the people's governor, that lady sure needs help.
Her cries over those her wares that were seized were very touching.
PoliticsRe: Abacha's $700m Loot Was Recovered And Utilized Under OBJ -okonjo-iweala by ogb5(m): 5:00pm On Nov 26, 2013
You are wasting time. Line up all the dependants of Abachi and lock them up. tell them they will be free when they sign for their family's loot is returned.

Kill them monthly in prison, quickly they will understand and the money will be returned.

Are you supposed to beg the accomplice of thieves to return what they stole?
PoliticsRe: 2015: ‘politicians Shouldn’t Break South-south, North Alliance Of 50 Years’ by ogb5(m): 9:51am On Nov 25, 2013
Am afraid of 2019, not 2015.

By 2019 the North will have a stronger case of producing the president, then they will present thesame crop of people who held Nigeria in the path of retrogression for ages.

2015 is settled, No northerner will smell Aso rock in 2015
AutosRe: Tariff On Imported Cars To Rise By 60% by ogb5(m): 9:40am On Nov 25, 2013
How does this affect a Nigerian living abroad that wants to relocate to Nigeria with his cars.

We he be made to pay duty on his own used car? They need to clarify this change in policy.

Telling a Nigerian to pay 70% duty on his belongings on coming home is equivalent to telling him to remain abroad forever.

I know the man.

It is a Security threat for someone like that to be missing
PoliticsRe: US Bugged Merkel's Phone 'for 10 Years' by ogb5(m): 1:25pm On Oct 27, 2013
How long do you think western nations have been bugging everything about Nigerian leadership.

Someone once told me that in the early 1990's the Americans were on phone with IBB, They told him the exact Room in Aso rock where IBB was receiving the call from and the clothes he was wearing.

The Germans will not do anything, they all play the game, just don't be caught.

abeautifulchick: I think the Nigerian government is taking this the wrong way.she would have been suspended first then investigations carried out.If she is found wanting then she can be fired.you can not get her out by fighting her while she is fully in charge. Her staff will be working hard to protect her by helping her to destroy proofs inorder to protect their own jobs and find favour in her sight. They know what they are doing, she has the backing of the cabals whom she is loyal to.Trust me,i am a boss somewhere and i know what am talking about.I WEEP FOR MY COUNTRY NIGERIA.
You are very correct. She should have been punished first, then investigated.

If after investigation, you found out that she was innocent, well, she will just have live with the punishment she had endured.

That is natural justice, abeautifulchick way.
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah's Answer To Query From The Presidency by ogb5(m): 7:43am On Oct 24, 2013
otokx: Three quotations are needed for any government transaction. Madam Stella claims only COSCHARIS sent in a quotation for the armoured BMWs.
3 quotations per item on a tender or 3 quotations per tender.

If multiple quotations were received for a tender and some vendors did not quote for some sections of the tender then the man who quoted in that section of the tender has a high chance of winning it.

Anyway since the quotes were received and handled by a tender board, the aim of pulling the minister down can no longer fly.

You will have to aim at the tender board first
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah's Answer To Query From The Presidency by ogb5(m): 6:49am On Oct 24, 2013
otokx: For any government supply there must be at least 3 bidders, her argument on Cosharis is invalid.

It also appears that a private firm she terms CSO not BPP was present which again is a bit questionable.

She failed to convincingly explain why NCAA shoul buy a car for her as she is not an "International white man"

GEJ has the final say after input from his 3 man committee; his decision should be respected.
Is it stated anywhere that there were less than 3 bidders?

Remember 2 bidders won. Are you saying only the 2bidders were involved
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah's Answer To Query From The Presidency by ogb5(m): 6:00am On Oct 24, 2013
bigass: are you guys crazy or what? every thief has an explanation. so because she wrote this she should be pardoned. he he he. so if she buys a laptop for 2 billion Naira it becomes non-issue as long as it followed due process and appropriated for? what about the fraud of contract splitting and inflation?
she should rot in gaol otherwise known as jail!!!! onyiara
Must you insult others?
What contract splitting are you talking about?

If it followed due process, then that is it. If you dont like the outcome of your due process then look into the process and fix the process because as we speak that is the process that will be followed for present and future procurements
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah's Answer To Query From The Presidency by ogb5(m): 5:43am On Oct 24, 2013
The probe of the procurement should still be done. Not as a witch hunt to catch her but to learn from it.

Since only one vendor responded to the tender request for Security vehicles, they should have re-advertised the tender request to allow for better response. the tender procedure need to changed so that in cases of single tenders then the process should be expanded.

If after expanding the tender process and they still get single response then they can invoke the single tender process that call for greater scrutiny and bargaining to get the best deal.
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah's Answer To Query From The Presidency by ogb5(m): 5:27am On Oct 24, 2013
If what she says is true and due process was followed in procurement of the vehicles, then can she sue Sahara reporters for libel? She can even add Nairaland to the suit.
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah's Answer To Query From The Presidency by ogb5(m): 4:53am On Oct 24, 2013
arowolobioyinbo: She was silent on the cost which happens to be the major concern of Nigerians and other observers.
What do you want her to say about the cost.
Tenders where recieved and only one of the responding vendors tendered for security vehicle, is either you agree to their cost or you negotiate with them if you really want the vehicles.
PoliticsRe: FG Uncovers 46,821 Ghost Workers by ogb5(m): 2:28pm On Oct 23, 2013
The civil service is the foundation of any modern society, as policies are meant to be implemented by them.

The Nigerian Civil service on the other hand is the bedrock of corruption. and they get away with it.
PoliticsRe: Aviation Minister Absent At Wednesday Fec Meeting by ogb5(m): 1:12pm On Oct 23, 2013
mydear francis: AVIATION MINISTER ABSENT AT WEDNESDAY FEC
MEETING:
Embattled Minister of Aviation, Mrs Stella Oduah,
was on Wednesday conspicuously absent at the
weekly Federal Executive Council meeting held at
the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Oduah is currently in the eye of the storm over the
purchase of two bulletproof cars for her by the
Nigerians Civil Aviation Authority. The vehicles are
valued at a whopping $1.6m (about N225m). Many stakeholders had been calling for her sack or
resignation while the Presidency had so far kept
mum on the matter. State House correspondents who had resolved to
take up the matter with the minister before or after
the FEC meeting were disappointed as she failed to
show up at the time the meeting started a few
minutes after 10am.
She is in Israel signing a good agreement. That is more important than a weekly meeting.

And we will need the cars when diplomats come to Nigeria. Stop losing sleep.
