grafikii: www.thisdaylive.com/articles/aero-contractors-to-emerge-national-carrier/162232/

This is absolutely disgusting,
Why is it disgusting to you.

Aero contractors is one of the oldest local Airlines in Nigeria and obviously with very good safety records.

They were affected by the financial turmoil following the stealing of Oceanic bank from their group and hence amcon had to take part of the airline.

Even with their financial troubles, they were still able to maintain there good safety record.

So once again, why is it disgusting to you.

Italiano1: So the cost of customisation, shipping and profit will lead to an extra $680,000 per car?

Interesting Biafra mathematics
These boko haram supporters and their reasoning.
So anyone that does not support your preconcieved notion is from biafra.

Use your brain and research the cost of a new bmw 760 Li Hi security.
Dont go looking for the cost of any other car model and using that to compare.

And remember, the bullet proof cars your mentors tinubu and fashola bought was 200million naira each which is more expensive than the one the minister bought.

Italiano1: Are you sure you are ok?

Who are you deceiving with this your ogbanje analysis?

Who cares what Maleno said the car cost? The transaction documentations shows that the cars were acquired for $800000 each totalling $1.6 million. What the hell are you saying?

Here are the facts:

A quick search of The price of a BMW 760 Li HSS shows:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/bmw-760li-first-drive-review-specs-page-2 ------$120,000 approx.

The reality is that the vehicle does not go for $800,000. Can you provide an explanation why the price was inflated instead of defending the indefensible.
Are you sure you read the link you quoted?
120,000 is for the base model, that is the lowest of the available models, what was bought was an armoured car not a base model.
Moreover the car was bought in nigeria from a nigerian company that most have added shipping, clearing and profit on top of it. In addition to the cost of making it armoured.
PoliticsRe: Dr. Fola Akinkuotu Of NCAA Must Be Sacked by ogb5(m): 6:47pm On Oct 20, 2013
Why all these noise over bullet proof cars, do we need bullet proof cars in the aviation sector? My answer is yes, there are dignatories that come to nigeria that can use the service of an armoured car, and we can actually make money from it.

The next question is the cost, people are comparing the cost of the car in nigeria to what it cost in the us. For a start compare the cost of a regular car in nigeria to what obtains elsewhere. There is at least 60% increase in new car cost between nigeria and most countries iin the middle east for example. So I expect the cars to be more expensive in nigeria than the us.

Every country should have agencies that check if corruption has occured and all accused should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Unfortunately, the social media is criminalizing governance and all actions of key members of the fg.

Where is the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise?
AgricultureRe: Open Letter To The Minister Of Agriculture Over Ban Of Rice In 2015 by ogb5(m): 9:45am On Oct 20, 2013
The question we need to ask ourselves is why does govt have to ban anything before we are able to produce.

Why must our products, produced locally be unable to compete with products from other countries.

I support free trade among nations, there is no need banning importation of rice, we should compete squarely and stop forcing Nigerians to buy poorly produced goods at a higher price than imported goods.

PoliticsRe: New Revenue Formula...n/ Delta Demands 50% Derivation by ogb5(m): 10:41pm On Oct 14, 2013
eddiebruk: I didnt say they were given little, but compared to Abu Dhabi, what they are getting as returns from their oil isnt up to %5, and this conversation is about 9ja Delta and not the whole of Nigeria.
How do you hope to discuss niger delta derivation revenue without discussing nigeria revenue distribution. Thats not possible.
I know what you want, you want us to agree with you that niger delta leaders are bad and steal the oil money, sorry to disappoint you, Niger delta leaders are not worse than the average nigeria leader from other regions.

At least they are encouraging you to get formal education, why the northern leaders are contented with their children being out of school
PoliticsRe: New Revenue Formula...n/ Delta Demands 50% Derivation by ogb5(m): 9:53pm On Oct 14, 2013
eddiebruk: Thank you for this piece of information, now let me ask you a simple question.

How many percent are N-Deltans currently receiving...? and what has been achieved thus far...? for development and possible progress, there has to be a form of foundation laying, in the case of the N-Delta, there is no foundation, and so development in these areas are still not guaranteed if they get %50, because it is only when they are worthy of using the present percent they are receiving, that the country can applaud their effort and so put the proposed increase into consideration (Dubai proved worthy of the little they are receiving and invested into other ventures), increasing the returns of the N-Delta by %50 is only going to benefit those that are stealing what they are already receiving. Until N-Delta see beyond oil, there will always be stagnant development. You cannot clear a forest without clearing the path that will lead you to the forest.
You can not build a good house on faulty foundation. The foundation of govt expenditure in nigeria is faulty, it encourages laziness and stealing. You are so fixated on niger delta leaders that you are failing to see the total picture. Nigeria leaders thinks oil money is free money so they go ahead and steal it.

If the leaders in the north , west and east are stealing, why will the south south leader not steal? Are they not product of thesame society? Stealing is the norm because of oil money, remove that factor by 100% resource control and everyone will wake up.

Younare still saying dubai was given a little and they were faithful with the little, once again let me clarify this to you, no body gives dubai money. They manage their resources 100% when they need miney to go to the international market to borrow, if they are unable to pay back, tje go bankrupt. They went bankrupt a few years back for your info.

eddiebruk: Man you want to get lost for the rest of your life, Oil wells by Northerners in the N-Delta...? who and who owns those oil well...? How many Oil well do you think Ayiri owns..? Have you been to Ugbokodo Itshekiri to see what is going on around the waterways...? Have you been to Ovwiegbala to see what is going on down there, how about Ugborodo...? Ode Itshekiri...? Big warri, have you been there to see how Oil are being smuggled...? have you been to Waterside at the back of main market at night to see how drums of black are being ferried on boats...? have you been to Agbasa water side...? Man you dont even know what is going on in the first place so there is no need for this argument
I have followed you arguement, it is quite unfortunate that you are missing a whole lot of points about the current political setup in nigeria and how it aids corruption at all levels.

First you talked about dubai, and said no one is fixated on oil in dubai, you are very wrong about that. There is 100% resource control in dubai, that is why things are working over there. Dubai is one of the 7 emirates that make up the united arab emirates. Each emiratea has 100% control of its resources, including oil and only pays tax to the central government. Thats why dubai has to sit up and go into trade and tourism to survive even though abu dhabi has alot of oil.

Dubai has little oil compared to its other emirate of abu dhabi, dubai can not get money from the oil produced in abu dhabi, that is why they planned themselves and went into trade and tourism.

The other 5 emirates are relatively unknown, they dont share from dubai's trade profit and the dont share from abu dhabi's oil money.

On the nigeria situation, oil money is put on a central purse ane everybody scrambles to get a share of it without caring for how it is generared. That is a misnomer and no country can develop on the model that everybody sits idle and share oil money.

The people you see helping themselves with oil at the waterside are simply continueing the scrambling for the national cake in their own way, that because that is what nigeria has been reduced to. Everybody is trying to grab a piece of the oil money. This has to stop. Resource control will bring everyone to his senses and stop the mad scramble for oil money.

And will force us to develop just like resource control forced dubai to develop other means of getting money instead of waiting for oil money from abu dhabi

Why are single girls this desperate?

eddiebruk: We are talking about Niger Deltans here not Nigeria as a whole, Niger Deltans are greedy, selfish and Lazy, take it or leave it

Who talks about oil money besides Niger Deltans....? who becomes Lazy because of Oil...? aren't they the same Niger Deltans...? which other Nigerians gets lazy because of oil..?
You must be alien to politics in nigeria. Those who talk about oil money most are the northerners.
They are the ones who want to rule perpertially to get access to oil money.
They are the ones who screem, no resource control. Imagine a citizen telling another citizen that he can not control resources on his land. If that is not colonialisation, then what is?

They are the ones who created multiple mushroom local governments to use in getting a larger share of oil money.
They are the ones who bomb fellow citizens because they have been denied presidency for 2 yrs and the attendant easy access to oil money.

So mr man, sit back and open your eyes

eddiebruk: I don't get this sir, Being selfish and greedy is as a result of the too much inflow of funds via oil, and i am not on the supporting angle so i still cant understand the need of this your epistle, because from what i can understand we both want this Lazy attitude of the Niger Deltans to stop.
Read my post again, the ones that are lazy are the other nigerians, who sit back and wait for free oil money, i was not referring to niger deltans as lazy.
PoliticsRe: New Revenue Formula...n/ Delta Demands 50% Derivation by ogb5(m): 9:46am On Oct 14, 2013
eddiebruk: I just cant understand why we Niger Deltan's are so greedy and selfish
We are not greedy neither are we selfish, if your zone does not have access to free oil moneynthat comes from the destruction of the Niger delta, you people will put on you thinking caps and work to generate revenue.

Oil money has made you lazy, unless we find a way to stop this free flow of money to your sleeping states, Nigeria will not progress. Japan has no oil, no gas, no minerals and only a minute part of their country can be farmed, yet they are economic giants.

What exactly is stopping you people from planning your growth outside oil?

BusinessRe: Daylight Robbery At Conoil!!! by ogb5(m): 2:38pm On Oct 09, 2013
This guy must be a learner, I normally keep a 25 litre Texaco Oil can in my booth. It has expanded and now takes 29litre to fill.

If I go to a new filling station, I fill that can first before putiing any of their fuel in my car.

There was once I went to I went to a filling station along Eleme road in PH. It took 47 litres to fill the 25 litre can. No worries, I simply told the attendant to call his manager. I gave them two options, collect money for 29 litres that normally fills the can or I call DPR and continue making a scene until DPR arrives.

They took the 1st option, I paid for 29 litres and left with the fuel. Being robbed at the filling station in Nigeria is something that will certainly happen to you someday, no matter what.

Their robbing schemes are so many, it is difficult to beat them all. Most Total Filling stations in PH and Warri go on special training on how to fleece their customers, you can't beat them, so I avoid total.
PoliticsRe: My Experience With The Crashed Associated Airline by ogb5(op): 3:15pm On Oct 08, 2013
Kx: We should have a thread, or a site on its own, that encourages travellers to share flight experiences for others to be informed. That way, we can have a reference point to guide our choices of aircrafts, to guide our flying decisions.

All the same, By His Grace, we shall not embark on a journey of no return.
Those who have flying coffins will never agree to create site where people can give feedback on their poor services. Maybe the regulators will be the ones to create such site.

In my case for example, I went online to look for information on Associated Airline, nothing turned up. It was just like it never existed.

I have never be unemployed, never had the luxury.

While at the University, I had a litle business at the side with workers bringing in little money, kept the business going during youth service. Stepped back into the business for 2 yrs after youth service before I got a "better" job.

So how do you guys actually stay jobless, staying jobless must be a talent. If i don't have job as a graduate, I will buy 10 painting brushes, employ 10 road side painters and take contract of all painting of houses in my vicinity. Am too busy to stay idle.

Am out, wish you folks luck.

jchime: Ibori has already been convicted, why are they stiLl suffering the man. We have worst thieves than ibori driving freely in the streets of Abuja with policemen who are supposed to arrest them for theft been their security men. I will only be happy with Nigeria's fight against corruption whenever OBJ is invited to EFCC office.
The british are simply trying to flog a dead horse and claim to be doing something. The confiscation hearing is about impounding 9million pounds worth of assets. If the money stolen from Nigeria is 9million we will not be saying there is corruption in Nigeria. They have simply chosen to be blind to bigger looting going on in the tunes of billions of dollars and decided to focus on state governors.

They reason that it is good publicity stunt to be reported that they jailed a corrupt Nigerian leader, they are not interested in fighting capital flight they are simply looking for good anti corruption headlines while allowing bigger thieves to stash stolen money in their economy.
