Politics › Re: 2015: Any Northerner Who Votes PDP Is A Disgrace – Borno Deputy Governor by ogene007: 1:15pm On Dec 11, 2014
Don't worry, northern christians who have been at the receiving end of the APC/BH islamization agenda will grant victory to Jonathan in the northern states even more than they did in the 2011 general elections.

Jimi Agbaje is a good choice. Now lets the see if the electorates will vote based on quality of the candidates or blind loyalty to Tinubu, the self-acclaimed god-father of southwest politics.
Politics › Re: Tambuwal Suit: Court Directs That The IG Of Police Be Put On Notice Properly by ogene007: 9:14pm On Nov 30, 2014
Rubbish litigants plus rubbish court equals unenforceable rulings. Mere academic exercise that amounts to nothing other than more noise making by APC cry-babies.

Politics › Re: House Plots To Impeach Jonathan, Ihedioha by ogene007: 8:53am On Nov 21, 2014
This impeachment threat is the rantings of lunatics. The FG would simply place those lunatics under compulsory house arrest until after the 2015 elections. APC thinks that there noise making skills and funding of BH is enough to bring down the government. They should realize that Nigerian has moved on from those days of peddling of lies and half-truths of tribune and concord newspapers during the 2nd republic.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Troops Prevent Speaker Aminu Tambuwal From Entering The National Assemb by ogene007: 2:12pm On Nov 20, 2014
Tambuwal is simply reaping what he sowed. This is just the beggining. He aint seen nothing yet. Since he has decided not to apply common sense, he will have to contend with the problems he created for himself.

Politics › Re: FG Withdraws Tambuwal's Security Details by ogene007: 8:16am On Oct 30, 2014
The removal of his security detail is commonsensical. If he thought that the APC noise-making/propaganda machinery would have saved him, he definitely was living in a fools paradise. This is only the beginning of his woes if he does not tender his resignation immediately. And for those who are quick to make references to what obains in the US, let me make it clear that the level of rascality being exhibited by APC cannot be condoned anywhere. Tambuwal surely must be severely purnished. For all I care APC and their supporters can go and cry in Tinubu Square.
Sports › Re: Keshi Has Lost It - Victor Ikpeba by ogene007: 9:08am On Oct 04, 2014
If and when we fail to top the group or at worst come second from that group, I'm pretty much certain that Keshi will get the boot. So, lets just stop all the arguments and wait to see what happens.I guess that Keshi is trying hard to make us believe that those rookies are better than Iheanacho probably because they "played ball" while Iheanacho and his father refused to ''play ball". Corruption is indeed endemic throughout every sector of our national life. The root of the problem stems from the lack of a well laid out policy from the NFF/Sports ministry on a timetable for the integration of the best talents from our age-group football teams into the super eagles. Why can't there be a policy that stipulates that 3 best players from the under 21 team and 2 best players from the under 17 side should be immediately integrated into the national team 6months after the age-grade competitions. This would have addressed this "Iheanacho" situation.
Politics › Re: $9.3m: APC Reps Walk Out During House Debate by ogene007: 4:54pm On Sep 23, 2014
Bunch of overpaid and over-indulged lawmakers from APC. What a sheer waste of resources used in sustaining them as assembly members. I can't remember the last time they proffered any legislative solution to the bokoharam crisis. Their popular pastime has been to seek cheap publicity and playing to the gallery with any and every issue on the BH crisis. Post 2015, I bet they will be singing different tunes after they must have found their way out of the doomed and sinking ship called APC.

Politics › Re: Oritsejafor And Company: Tainted And Jittery - Nasir El-rufai by ogene007: 8:59am On Sep 18, 2014
El-rufai and his co-travellers are obviously playing out a well planned script. They provide media support to bokoharam by trying to cause as much confusion as possible to the country's effort to fight the insurgency while pretending to be statesmen who care about the peace and security of the country. El-rufai should please tell us who are his paymasters because it is clear that US and the western powers are frustrating all the legitimate means of the Nigerian govt in arming its military in its fight against BH while BH continues to acquire same weapons from the black market. Who provides these supplies to the black market? Who provides the funding and other logistics for BH to continue to re-arm itself in their campaign of terror and mindless killings. What does El-rufai and co stand to gain by this mindless campaign which obviously is benefiting BH rather than Nigeria.Just as the US are providing weapons to Iraqi Kurds in their fight against IS terror group, they should immediately provide all necessary military assistance to the Nigerian government if they are not to be accused as the ones indirectly providing arms to BH so as to achieve their long known prediction on the breakdown of Nigeria. Should the US continue to block these legitimate channels of weapons acquisition by the Nigerian Government, we the truly patriotic Nigerians implore the FG to explore all necessary channels, whether official or unofficial in providing the necessary re-enforcements for our gallant soldiers battling the insurgency. They should also put the likes of El-rufai under security watch as it is becoming more clear that he is one of the agents of destabilization working with foreign interests to breakup Nigeria. My final advice to El-rufai is to note that the word of God will surely come to pass; ''there is no peace for the wicked'', and ''whatever a man soweth, so he shall reap''. You can continue with your acts of destabilization but the day of reckoning for you and your co-travellers is not far away.
Politics › Re: Seized Aircraft: CAN Attacks El Rufai, Lai Mohammed by ogene007: 1:58pm On Sep 17, 2014
We all know from the antecedents of El-rufai and Lai Mohammed that they are the mouth pieces of boko haram and their radical Islam ideology. To associate Oritsejafo and Ihejirika with Boko Haram sponsorship is one of the dumbest things I have heard from people who claim to have been to school for a long time. So Ihejirika sponsored BH to destroy the livelihood of his Igbo brothers in the north while Oritsejafo/CAN sponsored BH to kill christians and burn churches in the north. What a silly and dumb argument.
Let it be clear to APC and their co-travellers that their is no place for radical Islam in todays world and no amount of peddling of falsehood/half-truths would hoodwink nigerians into voting BH party(APC) into power in the 2015 general elections.

I just want all those so-called medical people who watched Justina die even when they could have saved her that they will not live forever. The day of reckoning will come when they will all answer for all their actions and in-actions. May Justina's soul rest in peace. My heart goes out to her fiance and her family. We feel your grief.May the Lord God Almighty comfort us all.

Politics › Re: Has The Power Situation Improved Since It Was Sold? by ogene007: 10:44am On Aug 15, 2014
Recently, electricity consumers in Kilo,Nnobi and part of Alawode street environs of Surulere, Lagos have been without power supply for the past two weeks due to Eko Distribution Company(EKDC) putting the existing transformer out of service because according to them, one of there staff was man-handled by some consumers when he came to enforce disconnection due to their refusal to pay the outrages bills being levied on them by EKDC. It is pertinent to note that the putting out-of-service of this transformer has impacted on both consumers on pre-paid metering system and post-paid respectively. For customers using pre-paid meters, this action by EKDC amounts to fraud and a breach of contract due to the monthly accumulation of N750 service charge. Added to this is the fact that EKDC has indirectly told the residents of the affected areas to go and raise N1.8 million in order to energise a new transformer that has been lying idle in Ajoke Street, Off Nnobi Street, Surulere. Energizing this new transformer will no doubt reduce the heaving load on the existing operational transformer on Nnobi Street by eradicating the need for load shedding, improve the revenue to EKDC because the improved power supply will encourage consumers on post-paid metering system to pay their bills regularly, but must the consumers be made to pay for the cost of energizing the new transformer? Are we back to the old PHCN/NEPA days? These are questions needing urgent answers from both NERC and EKDC.

"According to military sources in Maiduguri and the Civilian JTF, the successful joint operation against the insurgents was

facilitated by Bama residents and its traditional ruler by identifying the terrorists’ hideouts".

This is sheer irresponsible journalism. Must the press go ahead to mention the name of the traditional ruler of the town. I guess they will now need to deploy a whole battalion of soldiers to protect the traditional ruler whose life has now been put at risk.

Politics › Re: Lagos State Residents Registration Unveiled. Fashola PICS by ogene007: 7:52am On Sep 20, 2013
A lot of comments I've seen so far whether for or against the initiative by LASG has been tainted by ethnicity. After making a strong case for the initiative in his contribution, Kairoseki77 ended his piece with unnecessary addition of profanities and insults which unfortunately waters down his argument no matter how good they are. I strongly believe that those who are repeatedly referring to Ibos as coming from the village, or the southeast as a jungle are not conversant with the history of Nigeria, post independence till date. Most may have probably been raised by parents who themselves had never traveled outside Lagos or at most operated within the southwest geopolitical zone. Nairaland has unfortunately become a forum where a lot of children and unexposed and untraveled adults come to advertise their ignorance about Nigeria.
It is pertinent to add that even Fashola knows that this initiative at any point at which it turns out to become a tool for ethnic profiling becomes an exercise in futility because Nigeria operates under a constitutional democracy that guarantees all the fundamental freedoms known with democracy. So all these talk of 'if you don't like it, go back to your village', 'we will send you back to your jungle' are all comments borne out of ignorance of what LASG can or cannot do within this entity called Nigeria. I advise these young persons who have a hubby of using social media to spew profanities against people from other ethnic groups to do themselves a favor by learn more about Nigeria by trying. This will lead them to the true reality of what Nigeria is other than what may have been cooked up and handed down to them.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Wrong To Give Your Tithe To The Poor by ogene007: 12:01pm On Oct 18, 2012
Christians who insist on tithing should also obey the entire law of Moses. They cannot 'cherry-pick' aspects of the law to obey and the ones not to obey. Christ's death and resurrection ushered in the new covenant symbolized by the curtain to the holy of holies being torn. You cannot claim to have been saved by grace through Christ Jesus while still living under the law. People out of their love for money are trying to import into christianity all the aspects of the old testament that talks about giving. The bible has made it completely clear that we are saved by grace that came through Christ Jesus and not by works (observance of the law of Moses). Today:
a. The levitical priesthood has given way to the priesthood of all believers.
b. The temple of God no longer is identified with a place both within individuals who because they have yielded themselves to the holy Spirit now have their bodies as the temple of the holy Spirit.
c. The law of tit-for-tat or 'do me I do you' has given way to the requirement to love one's enemies and pray for those who have hurt us.
d. Physical circumcision as a means of being identified as a member of God's people has been replaced with the circumcision of the heart through genuine repentance and acceptance of Christ Jesus as Lord and saviour, now the requirement to be a member of God's people.
e. Tithing 10% of one's earnings has given way to charity which has no percentage tied to it.

I can go on and on, but let me stop here.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Wrong To Give Your Tithe To The Poor by ogene007: 8:48am On Oct 18, 2012
There is no place for tithe in the christian church.Tithe was part of the law which was a shadow of the reality which was to come with the new dispensation that Christ ushered in through his death and resurrection(Col.2:13-14). That reality is charity which has replaced the law of tithe(Col.3:14, Gal.6:2). There is no account in the new testament where the apostles collected tithes, rather they collected charity offerings where people gave willingly without coercion as is seen today.People are always quick to quote malachi 3:10, going further to highlight all the troubles that would befall you if you fail to pay tithes. If tithing was so fundamental for one to enjoy the good life promised by God, does it now mean that Christ's redemptive work(Col. 1:13-14) is not complete without tithing? The righteous requirements of the law including the law of tithe has been met by Christ's redemptive work on the cross. There he stated it conclusively with the statement 'IT IS FINISHED'(John.19:30).
