Hello everyone.

I am asking for a friend. She had applied for UK visit visa previously but was refused and she stated she has a sister in the UK.
Now, she has applied for tier 4 visa and while filling her form, the agent didn't state she has a sister in the UK.
She has done her biometrics already and the 15th working day will be within next week.
She is confused on what to do to avoid a refusal based on misinterpretation. She wants to know if she should send a mail to UKVI to explain things or should she just leave it that way.
Pls gurus help out.

For me sha, she shud send email to them & withdraw the application sharp sharp.
It will be found out what she filled on her previous forms, no need to smear her application. They hate lies or attempt to lie which is equal to deception. Withdraw application now plss oo. Send email o. Visa fees would be lost.

My case may not be exactly yours, the most important thing is to dig information here and follow. I have invitation from my Fiance, he gave me his pay slips, account statement, letter identifying him from his office, tenancy agreement, council tax...he is sponsoring my trip...while I presented my employment letter, letter from my office and my account statement even though I earn roughly 40k...if u want more information, am here

Pls did u state that he is ur fiance or u stated he is a friend in your 1st application in November? Pls help.

You did not have proper counsel before applying but we can only move ahead than regret.

Not true. I and some oda persons here told him very well in explanation upon explanation that his profile will not work but he kept on insisting. Some persns even gave him instances why. He still decided to go bcus his mind was made up. I belive noone here can force anyone to follow advice. Not on this thread or in anytn in life. It’s always like this sometymz

Ur salary/job ties is one very important factor. Kindly do not rule it out while bringing 5000 pounds to the fore.

U have a good chance of not getting a visit visa because your circumstances of having a pregnant fiancé over there is likely to be seen as a way for you not to come back to Nigeria.
U can get a good job with a better paying salary which would show as ur tie to nigeria and also if u have other family members or assets, properties and investments that would front to the ECO that you would return

Calm down and read my comment again.
I never said that LG marriages arent recognised. There were issues surrounding LG marriage certificates few years ago because the LG certificate template wasn't the approved one and those who used it had to get their marriage validated outside of the certificates that they were issued.
If you read the last part of my comment, you'd see that I stated that I wasn't sure if the issue with the template was already rectified.

U said most people use Ikoyi certificate and were insinuating that LG certificates were appearing fake. If i was the one tht asked the question and read ur reply, I would start scampering about looking for how to by force wed in Ikoyi court... ur answers stem to saying as if only Ikoyi is recognized in Nigeria... as per Alpha Nd Omega of marriage licence court and that is false false false.. false and false again

Pls use the certificate from Ikoyi if you can. My reason for this is that

1. Most people use the Ikoyi certificate so there's a probability that the ECO treating an application might think the LG certificate is a fake document due to a difference in the template for both.

2. There was a situation a few years ago about LG marriage certificates not being the same as the one issued by the FG registry and even though marriages conducted at the time weren't nullified, people who had married and gotten their marriage certificates from LGs had to go through the extra stress of getting the FG certificates.

3. The Local Government Unified Marriage Certificate was declared null and void at the time because it wasn't in compliance with approved FG marriage certificate template. I'm not sure if the template has been rectified now though.

If I get a link for the court proceedings, I'd update this comment with it later.

The UK EMBASSY RECOGNIZES ALL REGISTRIES IN NIGERIA UPTIL THIS MOMENT.. I and all my family members uptil Feb 2020 that got visas... pls nobody that has presented local govt marriage registration certificate has been denied due to the above u stated.... stop abeg
FG is politicking the matter yes, but no marriage registry in nigeria is superior to the other for visa issuance.. stop

If u are eco sef, will u give anyone holiday/tourist visa at this moment? Every country is trying to protect themselves and so many people with lockdown now. My sister had plab 2 exam in uk for tomorrow, this morning they just told them the exam wont hold again . Say they will think about it from july.
This is someone who has spent so much and had a legitimate reason to be there still dey say no everyone no exam for now. All the money paid for return tickets, for accommodation and all. Time wasted too.
This is because since this Monday 16th March things have become more serious, covid 19 cases are multiplying.

Any person looking at things critically shud know this doesnt look lyk appropriate holiday timing .. why do u think eco will not consider all these factors? Like corona is on, why do u wnt to come to my country? Pls stay in ur location sort of thin.
Also eco knows there is a possibility of lockdown. If they give u visa and u enter now, when they lockdown you cnt go back to ur country until things settle.. so this is not the time for such
No wonder Canada said only citizens and permanent residents will b allowed now. Anyother person dnt come. This is my opinion
