NYSC can never be an achievement. It takes someone with a crude mentality to believe it's an achievement. It's a mere social scheme, just like when people volunteer for certain programmes, which is not a big deal.

The NYSC certificate is one of the most useless things you can include in your credentials... Take it or leave it my brother.

Atiku contested under acn 2007 how many votes did he get...?? If tinubu run under SDP today he ll not see Third position... So structure matters am not asking u to agree it's a fact.. national elections is not about an individual.. it's about a party structure across board.. LP doesn't have it... I mentioned the same thing yesterday when the NYSC was begging employers to make room for corps members and some kid flaunting a 3rd class degree was saying it was because I didn't serve. I'm about to get my PhD but some silly kid was flaunting NYSC as an achievement. 🥴

Watch how Nigerians will come and defend the outdated scheme and start attacking everyone as if they wouldn't have survived without 1 year "alawee"

Most developed worlds don't do programs like NYSC which have no or little impact on the economy.

The funniest thing is that it's not the US government that is creating the employment directly, the employment is being created by those who went through the grants & funding series, and Silicon Valley.
My opinions are
1 NYSC should be replaced with compulsory 6 months of entrepreneurship programs in major areas of the economy.
2 Every successful candidate should be given a noninterest loan of 5M each to start a venture.
3 Candidates who failed the programs should go for mandatory skill acquisition for 6 months. The government should give them the necessary equipment they need for their trade and a 1M noninterest loan. (e. g. , a trained fashion designer should be provided with a sewing machine, a weepy machine, and a 1M loan)

Structure matters but It’s less about structure than it once was. The one thing the last election has taught us is structure can be overcome. Obi got 6m votes without “structure”.

Look at Obi’s votes in the core North, many states he didn’t even register statistically. ( if you round up 0.4% ,0.2% to the nearest whole number statistically you get 0%) That tells you the level of his appeal in the core North. These are states with huge numbers. You can’t afford to give your opponent huge numbers and expect to be president. Nobody expects him to win the north but if you cannot get 20%, you are not in the race. Tinubu did not win by getting 90%, he won by coming second in most states. Of the 7 NW states, Obi got less than 1% in 5, 2% in Kano and 20% in Kaduna. That is not how you win a presidential election.

ok let him continue to run let's see how lp would win LP structure matters... As it is today we have two national parties APC PDP... That's why they dominated nass and dominate gorvenors to LP has Abia like APGA has an and NNPP has Kano... So the 6m obi got is wasted votes technically if he had remain in PDP by now PDP would be ruling... I repeat LP doesn't have the cloat or structure to win presidency non-even in 2031...
