A legal practitioner, Ola Daniel has said that it is unconstitutional for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have declared the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello wanted. He made this known on Arise TV noting that the court is yet to decide on an appeal filed by th EFCC.
But would our judges be giving orders like that, simply tell him to clear his name if he's innocent

Vboot1: In a statement issued on Saturday, the group's Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, described the examinations as illegal and unacceptable by any standard because they were taken on days declared as public holidays by the Nigerian Government.
An Islamic human rights advocacy group, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has declared examinations taken in two universities in Enugu on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 and 10, 2024 as illegal, null and void.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the group's Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, described the examinations as illegal and unacceptable by any standard because they were taken on days declared as public holidays by the Nigerian Government.
The group called for the cancellation of the examination and tests.
It said, "Reports reaching us from the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC) and the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu, reveal that both institutions ignored the holidays declared on Tuesday and Wednesday by the Federal Government (FG). While the former conducted examinations on Salah day, the latter held two tests on that day.
"These are acts of insubordination and outright disobedience on the part of the vice chancellors of both institutions. We expect the minister of education to take up the matter with them. Failure to call them to order will only egg them further to act arrogantly against policies and decisions of FG in future.
"It has never been heard that a university based in the Muslim-dominated North conducted an examination or test during a Christmas or Easter holiday. Some authorities in the South-East are out-Heroding Herod in their quest to persecute Muslims by all means.
“Islamophobia is becoming rampant in that zone but what is surprising is that, this time, it is coming from higher institutions where people are expected to be more liberal.
"Meanwhile we are constrained to declare both the examination and the tests taken in both universities as illegal, illegitimate, unlawful and unconstitutional. They are ultra vires, null and void.”
The organisation called on the vice-chancellors of the two schools “to ensure that no student, whether Muslim or Christian, who missed the examination or the tests is sanctioned”.
It continued, “Those events never happened. There was simply no examination. Neither was there any test because nothing of that nature is expected to happen during a properly declared holiday.
“At least there is ample evidence that the holidays were announced ahead of time and long enough for all members of the public to be fully aware.
"That examination and those two tests constitute a void, a sham, a nullity and anything built on nullity remains a nullity.
“That examination never took place in UNEC and no tests were held in the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu. That is the position of the law. "No examination or test held in any school, polytechnic or university on a public holiday can be recognized by the law. A public holiday is holiday period for all and sundry, civil servants, teachers, lecturers and students. The law does not recognize invigilators and candidates on public holidays.
"MURIC advises the two vice-chancellors, through the deans of the erring faculties, with the active participation of the heads of departments, to instruct the lecturers to cancel the ill-conceived, bitterness-loaded and luciferous examination and tests.
“They never took place. This is the soft landing we can offer the erring lecturers, department and faculty.
"It is our fervent hope that nobody will make any attempt to massage egos because both the heads of departments and the deans of the faculties where this abnormality occurred may have to explain the reason for their dereliction of duty. Damage-control measures may be too late at that time."
So they should shutdown everything because it's holiday, please we taking this religion thing too far in this country, they have written the exam he should go and cancel it una own too much

Chibzynj: Just yesterday Atiku your principal, worked with the opposition to frustrate pdp government out of power because the candidate was from south.
Today he suddenly became the hero of pdp for people with short memories, but history will always remember.
God bless those who aid karma in serving him, the adversary in his own cup.
You guys are so fast to make someone's principal, who told you Atiku is my principal? Una just de award person with principal una don learn new terminology
doncartel: It wasn't a mistake, Buhari and his goons would have burnt this nation down, the military had a divided loyalty so it would have been so difficult to hold off on those terrorists they brought in from sudan, Mali and the rest to fight.
Those are the bandits we are fighting today.
Good point but why didn’t Apc care in 2023 about Christians burning down the country over Muslim/Muslim ticket?
Sometimes a leader just has to say ‘to hell with any consequences’. We also have rugged guys in the south to face anybody. We could have also used money to divide the North and South-West.
hopeforcharles: modafuckas good for them. Some wicked people don't protest when Israel is been hit they only protest when Israel retaliate. If I am google management any body that say a pin or even as like a page that has to do with negativity against Israel is sacked without benefit s.
They should go and work for Hamas, when they are unable to foot their bills their eyes go clear
doncartel: It is now clear that Jonathan made a serious mistake by conducting free and fair elections in 2015. Nigeria is like the Arabian countries, autocratic by nature. You simply brutalize the opposition and grab your victory.
Everybody knows that Jesus Christ will first return before Apc/Tinubu conducts any free and fair election. Jonathan was scammed into believing that a new Nigeria had arrived and that he should do things the right way.
The truth is that there’s nothing like Inec or judiciary or democracy or rule of law. All na scam.
It wasn't a mistake, Buhari and his goons would have burnt this nation down, the military had a divided loyalty so it would have been so difficult to hold off on those terrorists they brought in from sudan, Mali and the rest to fight.
Man102: BREAKING!!! “We may have to use the Military to arrest Yahaya Bello” – EFCC | #Politicsnigeria
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has threatened to invite the Nigerian Military to effect the arrest of the immediate-past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that the commission invaded the Abuja residence of Bello on Wednesday to arrest him but was met with stiff resistance from the former state Governor.
According to reports, Bello may have been hiding in the Kogi State Government House under the immunity of Governor Ahmed Ododo, his successor, who is covered with Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
The EFCC has been hunting for Bello, to arrest him over allegation of financial mismanagement while in office as governor. B
Bello was supposed to be arraigned in court this Thursday but the planned arraignment could not take place due to his absence.
During the proceedings on Thursday, Counsel to EFCC, Mr Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, told the court that the commission will drag Bello before the court to face his trial, even, if it means engaging the military to get him.
He said, “We may have to invite the military to move Yahaya Bello out of where he is hiding. “We may have to engage the military to force him out because immunity does not cover him where he is hiding.”

This is not an issue for thought, Wike should kicked out from the party,.the role he played in the last elections is enough grounds for explosion, if they leave him others will do same again
Tetrahedron: I stumbled on this tune, and I could remember it was a tune that was popular theme on radio in the 80s and probably 90s, then searched online only to discover that the artist is none only but “George Benson” kids growing up in the 80s and 90s will remember this particular song. He has won 10 Grammy awards! and he is a black man so I don’t believe in racism in grammys, if you are good you will win Grammy! Luckily for us he is still alive but very aged now and sick I think.
