I have been somewhat of a silent reader, contributing sparingly. Anyway, I received my AM today. I had my interview on the 28th of January.
I want to appreciate those who keep helping and encouraging others. Also those who share their good news here. It really helps to keep the hopes high and positive and I hope mine will do the same to others who are processing and expecting theirs.

Meanwhile this is my third Admission cycle that I have been offered admission in Germany since 2012 but did always put it off and I hope it will be a memorable journey.
I would also appreciate some contacts or connections around Hamburg/Kiel area.

But then when you still had issues with them. You should have known that you were to submit the original SL immediately it arrived here. Probably you weren't too informed then. The embassy deals with originals and not just mere photocopies especially when it comes to Verpflichtungserklärung. Normally, they should have mailed you to send or drop the original but they decided to feed on your ignorance (these guys don't care sometimes) and sometimes it depends on the person handling your application.

They don't accept waec directly into university for bsc... U need either 100l transcript or HND transcript

seems you are out as a policeman lol....... but if you read properly I said due to late booking of appointment as at July I was not on NL, immediately I saw that no winter appointment on their website then I gave up not until November a friend said I should book as summer applicant and explain to the V.O, now I booked and was given 12th of December and I was bounced back without even being interviewed on that day then the V.O before bouncing me back told me to write the school, which I did then I was sent that letter and booked immediately and got 28 of December. So if you still doubt, I will advice you if you are already in DE to come over to NRW by weekend and we will meet but if you are not then focus on your applications and try and get your visa and you would still meet me there

Ogonnaya, take it easy, kindly read and get yourself informed. Follow instructions as you have been given by the German authorities and you will be fine. I am not happy seeing you in this pathetic mode owing to the range of questions you put up here.

If you have any confusing issues, feel free to state them here. This German race na per head oooo, that's to say what works for A might not actually work for B. following people up here and there might not be your best bet.

I booked last night around 2am with the mail method and got response from the embassy at 7.40am today.

My appointment was fixed at 20th of February.

No offense pls, but even from the way you write, you sound confusing as well. The mail system he meant is actually using the email address system to book. But that entails you should have your admission letter ready

Full name and place of residence in Nigeria

Admission letter or confirmation by Studienkolleg or language school

Proof of financial means (either scholarship of a federal
german or EU organization, Verpflichtungserklärung, opening confirmation or blocking confirmation for a blocked account)

Passport copy (data page)

The race is not to the swift. I would accept the next semester offer and withdraw my present visa application with the embassy (stating that you have been offered admission for next semester so you would be reapplying for visa once winter dates open).

Also tell the school to send you a softcopy by email so you can book for visa interview as early as possible (considering the scarcity that occurs for winter applicants)

Relax, sit back and plan better than ever. You have the advantage now. Use the time you have to get ready for the sojourn....

Sorry about this. I see that it seems you have a test (or is that the enrollment deadline?) on the 29th of Jan. When asking for an extension, calculate at least 4 weeks visa processing time. If you get an extension that can give you that much time, good. If not, get the extension asap and still send it to the embassy and hope for the best.

In the meantime, plan to withdraw your application, start applying to the same school (and course, stating the challenges that made you miss the initial admission (this is usually a sweet spot for your SOP). They usually consider this and should give you a new admission without fuss). Also apply to other schools too in the meantime.

Alternatively, send this response from the embassy to the school and as for any or all of the following:
a. Enrollment or exam extension
b. Possible automatic admission for the next available semester (They can automatically give you an admission place and letter for the next entry semester. If that semester is a year away, they can confirm your admission by email and specify when the new admission letter will be sent to you)
c. Plan to withdraw your application and let the school know this step (and why), but state clearly that you are still very interested in the course and as such would be reapplying (this is if the first 2 options are not feasible)

By opting for a new appointment date, you were initiating a completely new application process different from the one you were given a rejection. My guess is that they did not respond because they expect you to book another appointment via their portal again.

I am sorry this is coming late as I am just seeing this post. I would have posited that you appeal. The reason for this is because for one, the appeal process would have been really quick (max 2 days) because no process had started on your application due to the incomplete admission documents from the school. The simple solution would have been to write a letter of remonstration (appeal) stating the issues with the admission letter and the solution you found to it. Attach the new admission documents to the letter of remonstration and email it to them. This would have been treated immediately and if all suffices, your application process started. You would have just had to wait the regular waiting period for visa issuance. Asking for a new date with the back log of applicants seeking interview dates is a bigger ask in this case and the bad part is that the embassy will not advice on this matter.

I would now advice that you respond to the initial mail asking you to choose to either appeal or get a new interview date, state that you want to appeal and that the appeal letter is attached with supporting documents and copy all the email addresses you know.

Hope you get a resolution soon.
