PoliticsRe: Say No To 'NAIJA' - Akunyili by ohaechesi(m): 10:34am On Nov 16, 2010
@poster

hmhmhmh! personally, i think we should encourage the usage of naija instead of Nigeria whereby everything about Nigeria has completely failed starting from the top. should i say the young generation has chosen to rebrand Nigeria by given their nation suitable and hitch free name

if i may ask, Why wont the companies prefer the rebranded name "naija" to make their way considering the alarming rate of internet fraudulent tag on that name 'Nigeria'. OBJ ignorantly sold that name "Nigeria" to the US government for abuse because i noticed the US is still not tagged fraudulent country even after world fraudulent act perpetuated by the likes Bill Gate (Y2K compliance fraud), Bernard Madoff (money manager, the cause of world financial crisic after being trained by the US government to defraud the world). yet, USA are free from being labeled fraudulent country via the internet. until the "Ngeria" internet scandals is flushed out completely, i seize to be recognized as a Nigeria rather a "naija". i have the right to choose and Mrs. Dora Akunyili, can't stop me

You don't know that! In any case won't the pictures he took be used as evidence and be turned against them if they were indeed involved in anything incriminating.
Just die this your argument. embarassed
you are right, i could reason with you but then i see this case as a mere trivial case that would have been discharged by the police. i believe something went wrong some where

See how you talk anyhow. Who cares about his status anyway and of what relevance is it to this matter? huh
i give honour to whom honour is due not vagabond likes of "LOGICA" who has no value for for human being, so where is the respect to one another as courtesy demands. Sir, i believe this tout should be made to understand that the word "STATUS" goes to meaningful Nigerian in all ramification . LOGICA or what do u call yourself,  you never hala not until you jam Dangote trailer.

i do take permission before i snap someone picture and i think thats how it should be.

The fact that you speak of status shows you are an inferiority complex wracked slowpoke spawned by morons who YOU should be taking pictures of with YOUR China camera so that we can identify how many STDs are being transferred between them, and then identify the origin of that which infected you during childbirth, and responsible for your mental retardation. Fvcking cross between a Zynjanthropus and Australopithecus.

Oh, by the way, taking the pic of the imbeciles that gave that wretched life to you will only be appropriate, if they do like the imbeciles that they are and have intimacy in public.
Bravo, you have just proved the high level of imbecility, psychotic /malfunctional mentality that exist amongst your "gene"or else you would have made a difference n'ulo nna gi (if actually u have one).  i think people should be properly informed of the wrath for law breakers rather then encouraging  indiscipline in the nation such as snapping unapproved picture to a force or an individual

See this hater more concerned about status. What was the awful act and what is his status you are talking about?
i expected you to be reasonable but you turned out to be a tout that you can't call a spade a spade. Do you actually want to know what his awful act was? it is very simply, take advantage of your father ontop of your mother (brushingout the hell out of her) with that you China canera phone. thereafter, paste the picture here on the NL post that the world will take a glance as if no one else partakes in such act. you panda never seize to amaze me.

look here young man, haven't your mama told you provocation could lead to anything? sometime in November 2006, I witnessed a police officer in uniform slapped his colleague while on duty in Lyon. wetin dey for SOKOTO, e dey for , inorderwords, for the perpetuator being knowledgeable of the law, his attitude was awful and he should face the book. morally, ignorant could be acceptable but legally ignorance is not an excuss.

i'm still not here to support the police but the truth must be told
PoliticsRe: Police Arraign 25-year-old For Taking Picture With Blackberry Phone by ohaechesi(m): 6:11pm On Nov 15, 2010
I'm not here to support the Nigerian police but their decision of taken the guy to court serves him right. If he had gotten away with such an awful act, other Nigerians will imitate him and that doesn't sound good for a law abiding citizen irrespective of his status.

So much vitriol being spewed out here? This was not meant to be a male bashing thread. A quick search on NL will quickly show (for those living on Mars) that Men and Women are both to blame for marriage breakups. And back to the subject of cheating, research after research have show women to be only marginally better than men - 55% of women cheat, as opposed 60% of married men - and this was a study done in 2002!

No matter how rehashed the question is, it is still a valid one. In fat, it is so valid that it underpins the whole of society today. Broken homes DO lead to broken societies.

Back to the OP's question - Being a "good" is just one of the components need to keep your marriage; For starters, you would have to marry the "right" person; one who can appreciate your "goodness". Also, the "goodness" cannot be defined by you, as it would always be prejudiced.
The same way being a "good" husband is certainly no guarantee of keeping your wife happy. All you can do is do what you SHOULD do (NOT your best), and leave the rest to God.
I wouldn't like to say yout statistical report are worthly rather not ethical in Nigerian marital affairs, you stands to be corrected. try and make a proper research once more

@bolded, That is just unfortunate.
Infact it is worse than unfortunate.
there you go again! listen attentively, it was for all the points you made mentioned sent most of our fathers to early grave. not again my dear, provided there was procreation involvement in the marriage, men prefer to be on their own "if" their wives choose to turn tiger over night

fellis:
@Bolded part of quote;
That is very true. That is very, very true. You men can afford to replace your wives without their consent. You don't have to struggle to keep them. You can afford to do away with your children's mother by divorcing her and thereby scarring your kids for life by making them children from broken homes.
You can afford to do away with your wives and marry/take care of another one with the money that would otherwise have improved your children's lives one way or another.
You can afford to do away with your wives so you don't struggle to keep them. I agree. It is true.
If that is not acceptable by you, then you should advice wives to turn a new leave. days are gone when men stay put for the sake of their kids, we learn it from women and it seems that better. Alot of men had died in the cause of tolerating their wives and at the end what happens, live continues. pls give me a break

Why can't some of you discuss issues indiscriminately and deal with the individual in question?

You that have the Presidency so close to you what have you done with it?
The result on the ground does not look good and if I were you I will not like to be associated with the leadership of a country like Nigeria that is almost a failed state, where corruption thrives, thugs are running the show and disease have taken over most of the country.

Harakiri and Ohaechesi,
I am so sorry that both of you have never met a woman that makes you feel like a man
. Sometimes too we are blind and do not see our fortune even when it is standing right before your very nose.
I do not think that most women want anything more than love and companionship from a man, but maybe I am naive.
Honey, u missed out from the point. It's not all about the women making the man happy but of what extent will that happiness last without the very woman not finding fault out of it just to ridicule the man as when due. i detest women flexibility to their supposed men . it were meant to be love and affection amongst both parties involved but reverse is the case.

Now that's what i'm talking about.You really know them for the relentless manipulating creatures that they really are. Nothing they do is done for free or for the sake of doing it.It's always aimed at something. They have sEXxX with you, they expect some form of commitment or compensation.They have a kid for you, they expect your entire world to revolve around them because dem sabi open toto born pikin. Everything for them is a means to any end. Heavens help you if they know your little secrets or skeletons in the cupboard. They will bring it all out in the open when the cookie crumbles as a means of getting even. And they keep wondering why men keep secrets from them.

Gbam. Y struggle to keep a man? The man himself no get sense? Can't he struggle to keep u too. Rather than kill urself trying to please men, like I said earlier, na only God be d solution. Even if u have to pray urself to unconsciousness, just keep praying. I prefer prayer making me sick, if it does, than a man. Hmmmmmm
i want to give a straight answer to ur question: i as a man will not struggle to keep u as wife cos i can afford to make a replacement without ur consent.

i supposed u should be more reasonable on issues like this. the thread on ground voiced down to conscience and i am optimistic that 99% of married or single men leave by it. we appreciate every pleasant moment we shared with our women and we try as much as possible to keep it up but unfortunately women uses whatever that makes their men happy at home against them. we have taken a turn not to be pleased by our women so that they may not know from which angel to storm their men unnecessarily.

Whatever nice things women do to their men at home are just to know their men's weak point, they are not genuine period

You are so amusing. cheesy How much in fact is this $30 billion that you are making noise about.? Is this bragging and denigrating neighbouring countries as common caused by puffed up pride and arrogance so prevalent in some Nigerians?
In fact taking a conservative estimate of a 100 million population it amounts to just $300 per person per annum.
i'm surprise you got me weave incomprehensible. i never argued the fact nigerian oil annual revenue is insufficient. my point is that with such huge amount put together with other revenue, nigeria will be a better place for you and i when it come to infrastructure. the truth is that there are no proper accountability in the nigerian system of government, period
