As a training psychologist i can comprehend you, i just wish u could also comprehend me. Anyway:-) twas nice reviewing ur poem, i must say have learnt a lot. Keep the ball rolling....AM not adamant, but you are not using the right criteria to judge .know lots of critics , my lecturers especially , they woukdnt use any of those to judge a poem . I have never used make up on my face , even my days in the university , was always going plane . Anyways , I dnt condemn it , if you love it , go for it . There is more to marriage than just having kids. Thousands of couples have Kidd today yet divorce. If the basic reason for marriage is to bear children , then that should be a good reason why marriage rarely last forever these days . Nigerian parents are so wicked , most of them bare children so that they could have someone to take care of them in their old age . Many today sends their kids to school , so that they could get jobs , and take up family responsibities. Is annoying . Little wonder people don't have the zeal to study real good , they all study to pass and get a job . Have baked graduates everywhere who don't even qualify for jobs , yet they will come out crying unemployment is everywhere when they are so cling to that paper , and waiting upon the government to help . I love to marry , and have children to remind of the love my husband and I share, take care of them , work for myself , never be a burden on them , let them give me out of free will . If children are the main thing in marriage , why then should I marry when I can get any guy to impregnate me ? No , there is more to marriage . Though everyone has their reason . For me , is to love and stay closely to my partner forever . 3 Likes |

I have asked this question severally 'why is NIgeria rank the third in the world of movies ?'This I used to ask because I know if is quality , Nigeria can't stand films from Mexico , England or Australia, yet Nollywood comes first before these countries . I got the answer today , and I was told that the ranking is base on quantity of films produce annually. Then I say 'oh , as for quantity , truly we should come the third because the number of films that nollywood produce , both the English and yoruba speaking genre put together produce more than we are willing to watch . Then again I asked myself 'Since we 've been expose to the world base on quantity , why didn't our film producers take upon themselves to produce quality movies , both technology and storyline wise ?' Off course have seen good movies like 'ije ', 'last flight to Abuja' , 'Mr and Mrs', and little many more . But we won't use those little to always beat our chest . Is hight time producers began to do more challenging movies , exploring all genres , as Nigerians are tired of watching ritualist movies , or 'runs girls ' kind of movies , as this only speak ills about the country , and probably, who knows, chase investors away , and make outsiders think of all Nigerians as been fetish . One genre I will like to see in Nollywood is science fiction. The world of the make believe is more than what we see everyday , we should employ fantasy , leaving our vievers a lasting impression after watching .The good thing , Nigerians are begining to develop the habit of going to the cinema, our government should help by planting at least two to three cinemas in all cities , with this , the producers can always make returns on the money spent , and this will open doors for investors , and also Nigeria could be a big tourist Center . Art is a beautiful thing , a thing that easily appeal to man . I am a script writer , I have writen some works on science fiction , but nobody seems to want this type of genre, their arguements was Nigerians aren't ready for that type of movies , but we all enjoy sci-fi from Hollywood. With this I ask , when will Nigeria live up to her glory as giant of Africa ? |

Lover boy , first is wrong to have a girl stay with you as students that both of you are . She has told you all with her mouth , what do you want again if not to learn lessons , dust yourself like nothing ever happened , I know is hard , but try . Most importantly , please face your studies leave some person who doesn't have respect for her body as a woman . Bros afam , why are u comparing tutus fish to kote ? When it comes to technology and good films , nice story line tha will keep you glued to the TV is Hollywood .They v gone so far that bollywood is only trying to catch up . Though they are trying now , have saw my name is khan , 3 idiots slumdog millionaire, all bollywood movies , I couldn't help but say they are trying too . But pls Hollywood is far far ahead . ultra buzie: ALL AM CONCERNED ABOUT IS TO KEEP THE READERS GOING...Madam , I have read hundreds of poems during my days in the university and out of it , too . I will appreciate if you criticise my poem with just my own words , not bringing in an external work to weigh it , uless you are doing a comparative work , then you will have to bring up your lines . My poem lacking humour is intentional. Is a satirical work which has establish it existence without the use of comedy . If you insit that I should have use comedy or humour as you put it , then I humbly say maybe you v not read much poetic works . There are some poet whose work are all gloomy , some use humour to lighten their audience , while some care less because they want their readers to take pity on them and feel their anguish . Off course I have some satirical works which I use humour , but this , I deviate from using it . As for my work lacking rhythm, thank goodness you also say is a blank verse , a run off line poem ,then why should I cage myself to put in rhythm. One disadvantage the classical poets had was too concentrate too much on making rhythm, thus some loss the message they are trying to pass . A poem is beautiful once the poet use meaningful metaphor , image and a simple message the readers can easily indentify with . If you had said I have not done a beautiful work base on other arguements , then I would have been happier , because that will help me tighten my seat belt . I didn't even take my time to write the poem , I know it still need lot of brushing up to do .thank you again madam . I wish I had received more reviews. Least I forget , Romeo and Juliet belongs to the dramatic genre , Shakespear didn't use humour in all his lines , there are some places where you will feel gloomy and pity the characters . Ge only use humour to lighten up the readers at long interval . Also remeer this is a short piece , Romeo and Juliet has a long space of establishment |
