Evelyn06: I don't believe all this stuff you guys are saying about 9ja ladies is true. You're probably attracting the wrong set f girls to yourselves. Not all girls are like that. Maybe the ladies too have the same view about you. There are good girls out there and there are good guys too out there. Your opinion shapes your thoughts, and thoughts become ''things''. Ur mindset becomes ur reality. Keep a positive mindset.Obviously, not all girls. I have Naija female friends that I am cool with, one even married my friend through me. We are only saying a large percentage of them form especially when they see or sense you want to try to "holla" at them....this is true for all girls though but our sisters own too much......haba!!! More reason why I don't pity them at all if/when they are in their 30s and still single. You want to know what they do now? They connect guys online - FB, twitter, naijapals and go back home and bring "bobo" that they can remote control.......I dey laff oo (in OBJ's voice)........lol. And they seriously think hustlers for Naija no wan come Yankeee by all means ? |
Yvete: Just logged in to tell OjaP to shut it!!Not true....I once dated some good akatas and I don't have baby mamas, depends on the kind of girl you are dealing with though. I am talking of girls who are well to do and not ready to even have a child out of marriage because of shame. When I say good Akatas, I mean it....date a Stanford graduate, an Engineer with a bomb job and good parents who are well to do in the society. ![]() And if Yvette will advise against dating akatas, then date those se.xy blonde girls or cute hispanics. Girls plenty jare. |
Adolite: @yvete I dont think is shyness or starting a conversation problem but forming what they are not, i have met alot of nigerian girls like that forming accent, forming posh ,imagine someone who didnt have a car, havent been to 3 diff states yet forming.Everything you said is so true. Leave them alone, let them keep forming. By the time they clock 35, they will be everywhere including all social media, Naija events and churches looking for a man to date or marry. Some will even go so far to relocate to another state to start a new life and try to stay humble. And let me tell you this, most of them believe students like us are not ready for marriage or can't take care of them. They look at what car you drive, where you live and how much you make among other factors (even if they lie they don't look at that). True confession: My friend in NY told me about this immediately I came in, so I don't do Naija women at all. I am not ready for any long thing. I will just go with my se.xy blonde girl or educated "akata". Everyone: Just ignore the Naija girls for now when you are still in school and face your studies. I bet it when you make it and start earning that 6 figures, they will be all over you. And then, you can do all the "yanga". And by the time you want to finally settle down, Naija girls full everywhere, they will even beg you to marry them. Just work hard for now for a good future after school. [s]Lest I forget, must you even date Naija girls, "una no even wan date from other race or tribe?" The Naija girls wey una don do for Naija never tire una......lol? Broses, enjoy life now jare and go for Naija girls later when you get the money and ready to settle down.[/s] |
chizyb: imperiouxx i see but how can i get a permanent resident visa in future though as i stated initially am a medical doctor who has practised for 12 years with masters in public health.I said it earlier, it is difficult to work in any American hospital as a medical dctor if you are Nigeria trained. They still want you to undergo their own training even if it is going to be for 2 years. And like I replied to your last post, it is difficult to get into medical schools nowadays if you don't have a green card. And getting a H-1B is just dependent on GOD and luck....it is "gettable". |
Mazi_Omenuko: I know what you're thinking.I won't be surprised if it turns out to be the "ugly-one" military friend......lol. Then, he will be the one to gist his friend that you are a sharp guy...lol |
smithjanetstore: ok kindly tell me something when is the next toefl and sat exam date and which one will be more necessary for me simply because am out of nija for nowGoogle is your best friend. ![]() |
smithjanetstore: na wha for una for this thread i need sat and toefl materials i don dey ask for over 2weeks no body dey reply anyone with it should kindly forward it to smithjanetstores@gmail.com very urgentShut it!!!! No one is under any obligation to send you any material. The guy sending it is doing it only out of free will. How do you know he is not busy with school, exam or other things? Abi na NL u think he go dey sleep? We all gat a life guy/girl.....whichever that applies to you. Peace!!!! |
webstradamus: Did you really miss Yvete's response or you deliberately chose to ignore it? She just told you the bitter truth but I guess it didn't sound good to you so you're looking for workarounds. Inasmuch as I say hate to tell you this, your case does not look good right now. "Precious TOEFL" score of 45? Conditional acceptance to a one-building university? Guy, take a chill pill and re-strategize. Enroll in SAT/TOEFL classes and register/take both exams when you feel confident enough to do so. Next look for real Universities and apply to a few of them that meet your academic objectives, financial capability and other factors. I know it might sound to you like I'm yarning opata but the harsh reality is that you aint ready to make that trip to the embassy ... at least not now.Just4mide No mind them oooo. Your VISA is so sure. ![]() Good luck. |
winbyforce: yindi should be some as#s squint with gratitude. lolYvette: You should cite the original owner of this answer. I am very sure you got this from someone. Imperiouxx Mamacitta?? ![]() The person better sue you for plagiarism and chop from your "oil money"......hahahaha. |
dontpushme: We met on my church site (i.e we share the same believe)and we have been talking ever since. most times she will ask what can she do for me but i tell her no i dont want anything. We were talking of recent whan i ask her if she can sponsor me and she agreed. She even called some schools to help me make enquiry. I will have so wish to use my parents but their income is not up to the require amount needed. Can you please hook me up with the woman who is willing to spend thousands of dollar on your education.......Wow? #justkidding. That woman must be very rich ooo. How many Americans have $1,000 sitting in their account doing nothing? Well, apply and try your luck. You will have to pray hard for the VO to buy your story line however. Good luck dude. |
Yvete: Kinda like kiss my behind??Yvette's equation. If Yin = kiss Mu = nose Then, Yin + mu = Kiss my nose right? Hahahaha, your Yoruba Language tutor is obviously doing a poor job...sorry girl. ![]() |
Yvete:#Yindi# for you too Yvette ![]() Imperioux sef don dey speak Hausa....na wa oooo |
Who is the moderator here?? Just-wise ![]() Abeg, we need Yvette and Imperiouxx banned from this thread. ![]() Reason: They are speaking in tongues...who knows maybe them dey curse our papa sef.... [s]That was on a lighter mood ooo before some people come defend or fight on their behalf............[/s] ![]() |
chizyb: Thanks for all u contributions but the way it looks if i want to change my status from H1 or legalized PR then i will have to get another job which may not necessarily be in line with Med. or public health till i can qualify by taking board exams. though i have my mum's sisters who are citizens even my grand ma has a green card.I think you are not making this issue clear to us. Are you on H-1 visa and thinking of changing to a LPR? Are you still on Tourist visa and just planning ahead for H-1B and later the GREEN CARD? Do you have a job in the USA and want to change? Honestly, I don't know what you want. Could you please explain further. Good luck. |
ferdimako: I know what you're saying. But my pal that visited Nov, told me that the guy's older brother's presence and guarantying clauses played a big part. I don't know if he changed his status. That it's his first time of seeing someone going into medical school like that. That some or most bright dudes end up going to do dentistry or sthelse. Overall, he was saying something more on finance and who backs you up and with ur citizenship or PR you could attract loans etc.ok |
ferdimako: I know someone who came me with FI and did go into Medical School after doing his first degree and two more post-degree programs (MPH).His older brother is a PR and guaranteed him or something.I don't really know how it works! The person in question was already here right? Had his first degree in the USA? His Postgraduate studies in the US right? If that it is the case, it will obviously be easier for him to get in, his case is different from someone who is in Nigeria. At the same time, you never can tell if he changed status already, that you knew he came here on F-1 visa doesn't mean he is still in that status. I repeat, most if not all schools here require you to be a permanent resident for you to get into the medical school ...this started like few years back. If in doubt, call 5 to 10 medical schools and confirm. |
imperiouxx: First of all, renew your visiting visa like the way you got it the first time. Where you got your MPH, NG or US? Which ever the case, you can look for job in US/ Canada as a skilled worker right from Nigeria if you have piles of work experience and since you've been traveling to US.Chizyb If you are lucky to find a company interested in you being a public health scientist and ready to file for you, then you are fine. However, I don't think any US hospital will recruit you with your MBBS from Nigeria unless you are trained in the US for at least 2years or more after practising in Nigeria. Also note that most medical schools in the USA not carribean schools want you to be atleast a green card holder before they will even be ready to discuss admission process with you. @ your status: What do you even plan to change it to? F-1 or H-1B or a legalized permanent resident? Let us know and we will go from there. I wish you good luck. |
stan-ogb:Good for you. CUNY largest being one of the oldest right? A very good school too especially for business, you made a very good choice. [s]I would choose Harvard business school, Stanford, Uni of Penn., and MIT over it though........ [/s] |
stan-ogb:Are you going to the Brooklyn campus? I won't be surprised if you will be going for the Computer sci program......lol. The school is popular for that. As per the GRE, score high on the quantitative section....best of luck. |
Yvete: lol ... I'm not repping Nurses oh! Without statistical evidence, ain't it safe to say that about 80% of Nigerian women end up asYou're absolutely correct and no further addition or subtraction...........lol. My weekend is going on well. I see you talking about Sugarland the other day...I have some nice cool friends in that axis. Hey, didn't you say you will do something by the time you get home the other day? Are you still at work?? ![]() |
