Yvete: na wha for una ohYou and Mr. Smith have something in common...... ![]() |
Yvete: Reck-less is lying. That's why he didn't make any clarification.Maybe he thinks we be **mumu**.... You said it all. |
ferdimako: So English was the problem then?Gbam-est*** |
GboyegaD: Must you curse and who told you there is no such thing as an MBA in nursing? Like the guy said, it is a program offered as MBA/MSN in nursing at UCLA however, I agree he was reckless because of what he said to Kpolli concerning his asking him to swear over what is none of his business. Enough said, bootlicking isn't a good thing to engage in.That guy doesn't know what he is saying. There is a clear difference between a dual degree and MS/MA/MBA/PhD in whatever. How will an educated man who claimed to get "admits" in three of the top schools in the US be ignorant of that? I hold a MS in Geology is different from I hold a dual masters degree in Geology and Business Admin - MS Geology/MBA. And how would a man who claimed to be trained in the USA not know how to choose his words? It's like me saying I have a MBA in Geology when in the real sense I have a dual masters degree in Geology and Bus. Admin (MS/MBA). I would be so stupid to say that and don't even think my stupidity or foolishness should be pardoned. YES,there is MBA/MS in Nursing but nothing like MBA in Nursing. Several schools have that option and not only UCLA. |
Yvete: Thanks @ OjaP. ![]() |
@Reck-less I will only blame justwise and disguy for not sending this MF called Reckless into the thrash ever since. |
imperiouxx: Sorry, no vex.... it was because of my tight schedule last week and I though I replied you.No, you didn't reply....lol. I sent the message again. |
smithjanetstore: @ mummy Yvete you ve not been telling me anything abt those yeye 8yrs gap abg do something for me nw ![]() This guy will never stop to amuse me.......Lwkmd. |
imperiouxx: you dey mind emDid you get my email? |
webstradamus: A prospective undergrad has no business whatsoever taking the GRE/GMAT in lieu of SAT/TOEFL ... the VO will not be impressed if they do! The student will only come off as confused; not knowing their left from their right. Just my thoughts ... I may be wrong thoughYou are not wrong. |
kpolli: Indians slyed me twice, I keep my distance and watch my backI believe you. They only help themselves. |
Summer is around the corner madam. "Man shall not live by bread alone." |
webstradamus: You gat jokes bro ...You said it all. And if Kpolli is in California, I would advise him to apply to Aera Energy based in Bakersfield, California. They are looking for summer Interns in their IT department. |
Mamacita007: Spring semester starts from January till May. How come they issued your sister her i-20 yesterday and the school resumes april? i just pray that its a good school so that nobody will be disappointed again. Wishing her all the best.Spring quarter starts from April till June. |
walexy: Hi good people,It is do-able - Yes, the admission officer was right. Your sister can defer her admission. - Yes, she can still meet up if she is lucky. Let her go pay the visa fee at GTB, check and see if there are available dates for student visa applicants. If that won't work, send an email requesting an emergency interview. If she is lucky, they can reply her on time. Tell her to pray. - No, you don't have to resume 30days before resumption. You can resume whenever you get your visa even a day before school resumes. Many folks here still resume like a week after resumption, if this will be the case for your sister - maybe she couldn't get the Visa on time before her school resumes, then she can get a letter from her Int'l student adviser extending her resumption date, she will need to show this at the POE in case they ask. - Some of the documents your sister will need include but not limited to admission letter, form I-20, transcripts, NYSC certificate, letter from her sponsor, statement of accounts etc. - Overall, advise your sister to fill her form DS-160 as detailed as possible (even in areas where they tell you they need short answers especially job history and roles). The weight of the information in your DS-160 form partly determine the issuance of visas. And of course, GOD is the ultimate....tell her to prepare well and pray. The ball is in her court. I wish your sister the best of luck in her visa processing and application. |
Yvete: ^^ Its for protection oh! Yvete doesn't want to announce her admission this fall and next semester, OjaP will announce his own admission to my department! Haha! All of a sudden, the Geologist wants to become a Supply Chain expertThis is actually funny.....and OjaP transferring from California State University to University of Houston........lol. |
@ Yvete: I agree with you on that. Best thing is for applicants to drop the name of their schools here so we can all help look into them. Our friends in the Canada Visa section do that alot. Most of them even go as far as pasting word-for-word the email they received from the schools and Professors. It is only on USA visa thread that I see people hiding the names of their schools. |
teexzle: Hello aus, wat do u tink abt southern new hamsphire uni, and can u pls list d schools we shdnt apply toDont apply to; Virginia Int'l Uni. Everest. University of Phoenix. People will add more. |

olarwarlay: @FBI/CIA - sorry about the delay bro, start planning for your next interview. God go do am.What has changed since the last time he went for the first interview? - @ bolded. |
fittty: Funding/ Reasons for choosing the school caused the denial. If you can get another date before resumption then fineCan you please explain why the above points you mentioned caused the denial? |
Mamacita007: This part 4 didnt start well after all the prayer. FBI/CIA as soon as u told the vo everest institute she just gave up thats why your interview no make sense. Is that the same Mt. Everest dem dey talk say make we dey avoid for this thread? It better not be. And for the rest, hiding the name of their schools, una own time draws nigh. Wetin go force una declare am dey come. @Slimmy: You sharply declare your own make you no go make the same mistake right? Your schools are on point......lol. No shaking. |
moroh: That is totally uncalled for.Seconded |
Yvete: Janet Smith. LolzHehehehe, you no go kill me ooo. How I go dey like man....I no be Just noticed that. |
Yvete: ^^ This one OjaP is loving somebody on this thread these days. Hmnnn Na wha for una ooo!Hahaha, I don't get that ooooo. Who am I loving on this thread? Na wa for una oooo.....lol |
Yvete: @You: Don't play that with me! *Straight face*Don't send him to anywhere oooo....lol. Just pity him please and help....lol. Been a while ooo, where have you been? @ FBI I am glad you are around......I will advise you search through page 1 and 2 and look for members who got their Visas with a MBA. You can just say exactly what they said...Mind you, none of them said they will be coming back to work for their parents. The V.O don't fall for that....most of them came up with stories about working for multinationals, CBN and the rest...I remember one said he wants to work in the ministry of Finance as an Economic adviser...just search well. I wish you the best of luck dude. |

Olatomide: @OjaP Thank you very much for your response. I have checked most of the schools you listed, problem is their fall deadlines have elapsed. Anyhoo, Would appreciate if you could mail me then we could talk properly. Bayodeolatomide@yahoo.com.You should consider applying for winter or spring. Fall admission is closed already in most of these big schools. And Yes, we can talk via email. I will add you up at my earliest convenience maybe when I log in. In the mean time, you may want to ask general questions here so that folks can learn from our discussions too. #just saying. smithjanetstore: OjaP (HARSH MAN) u welcome i was thinking where have u been for a couple of days cool bro for dis guys response its fully loaded u one of the best nairalander with good advice correct info baba tuale..........Mr SmithJanet....na wa for una oooo..... ![]() ![]() . Olatomide: Hello all, am new on this thread. I finished with a second class upper in Physics from FUTA, had 309 in my GRE and 106 in TOEFL. I actually applied to the geology graduate program at TAMU but am also looking for a safe school with a good geology graduate program to apply to this fall, Would appreciate suggestions. And you guys are doing a great job.Congrats on your GRE and TOEFL...I had a brief stint at FUTA too in the Applied Geology department working on my Masters before I changed my mind. You chose the right school, Texas A&M College Station has a very good Geology program. As a matter of fact, all Geology schools in TEXAS are very good. Below are few of them in no particular order, - University of Texas, Austin - Rice University - University of Texas, Houston - Texas Tech, Lubbock - TAMU College station. etc Outside of Texas, you may want to consider Colorado school of mines, UC Davies, UC Berkely, UCLA, Stanford, Caltech, USC, University of South Carolina, University of Alaska, Fairbanks, University of Arkansas etc. Most Geology schools in America are very good. Good you are making a very good decision in switching to Geology, I am confident you won't regret it. I wish you goodluck in the admission process, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need anything under my purview. I won't hesitate to help. I am happy we are having more Geologists/Geophysicists in the house. Have you considered Geophysics? They are in high demand in most oil companies....they need them for seismic interpretation and the rest. |
eduson002: Gudday people.Quite a while I posted here. The thread is indeed moving on and great things are happening.Bigfrancis and other fall 2013 hopefuls, whatz the update as per admission?.You are fine. The embassy does not even know if you have a conditional admission or not, most people I know with a low GRE or lower GPA less than 3.0 get that...not a biggie at all. You will only need to maintain a good GPA in the first two quarters or semesters(as the case may be) after which the condition on your admission would be removed. And may I even ask why you are not happy about it? You better accept the offer sharp sharp before my oga at the top say they won't give you admission again. Kpolli: Happy belated birthday - sorry this came late...the same oga at the top kept me busy away from Nairaland. I just hope my oga at the top on NL too won't ban me for this... TGIF |
kpolli: My advice, go to naija to marry her or sign prenup....Hahaha, I am not a pro oooo. I just believe all hustlers must have researched/know the way/path to green card in America. Through marriage? Through job? Through business? Through assylum? Pick anyone wey you want.........lol |
