ThierryJay: Obembet don see fight come concede small As e don see say Messi don overrun his fave's thread.
A point of correction Madam abi na man. Messi is the first and only player to score 5 goals for club (UCL) and country in history. So your attempt to limit this achievement to his record with Argentina is dead on arrival.
Walahi Pendu dey enjoy since o. If the GOAT had also been feasting on WaSIU's favorite exotic delicacies from Luxembourg, Andorra, Armenia and co since, he would have been the highest goalscorer in history already with not less than 200 goals for Argentina.
The sweetest thing for me is that Ronaldo's fans cannot troll Messi for this record without automatically also trolling their fave because his highest national goalscorer record is chiefly sponsored by the same unknown geographic territories they are downplaying.

MALIGNANTGuest: Honestly my man... CR7 has been playing against these countries for years hence his multiple hat tricks. Now MESSI just had his first encounter with them, now see the RESULT.
When I tell people that CR7 is just overrated, they scream I hate him. This is a weak MESSI scoring such. Imagine if he had been playing in Europe all these years... CR7 is just an improved Van Nielsteroy. Nothing else! You last line is too complex for penaldians to grasp Improved Van Nistelrooy |

cayorday89: Not taking it personal at all, but I now get your reason for your earlier comment, the thing is no one player can do to alone without others making a telling contribution... Same way I just smile when some people (an old classmate of mine too is in this category) were saying that Thibaut Curtuois was Madrid's savior yesterday like he is not part of the team and is job is not specifically to prevent goals if the defenders can't stop it. But what do I know, I am just a backyard football analyst. Exactly. Football is a team game…… I hate when people try to shade other players to prove a silly point. If you talk about Messi, they will mention Iniesta and Xavi….. Talk about Ronaldo, same hypocrites will change the narrative to suit him simply because their definition of carrying a team is by goal scoring. Why not give credit to those that created goal scoring opportunities or defenders/keepers for making crucial saves? The job of an attacker is to score. The midfielders are to create and supply passes to the attacking players while the defenders are to stop their opponents from scoring but the moment a striker scores, he takes all the credit. If Madrid had conceded, Vinicius goal would not have made any difference last night. While Vinicius is called a hero, no credit for Valverde despite that fact that, he supplied that beautiful pass. |

cayorday89: I am a football lover and I love so many players even from rival teams as long as I am entertained, but throwing such shade at Ronaldo is not it at all, he did what he had to do while he was there at the prime of his career wotha team able to make their own contributions to compliment him and in all they won all they could win in that moment with the mighty Barcelona and Messi at their prime which I repeat no team ever assembled can beat easily. You can't compare the opposition of Barça that time to the current Barça squad, Real Madrid are simply better now and it's telling in how they are winning la Liga now...
And Ronaldo not winning it again, the team he joined and the age is definitely telling, no one reigns forever... Don’t take it personal……. This is not just about Ronaldo but a simple message to his fans that constantly downplayed the contribution of Ramos, Modric, Kroos, Bale, Marcelo and even Benzema to make it look like Ronaldo single-handedly carried the team. Meanwhile, same people that attributed Madrid’s 2016-2018 UCL victory to Ronaldo individual performance do not hesitate to blame his Juventus teammates when they were knocked out by Ajax, Lyon & Porto for 3 consecutive seasons. |

Starz825: There is a history in Madrid...cr7 met the history...and when he left, the history is still there ..you can only be an integral part of it ..you can never take it away along with you when you want to leave ... Zidane , Ronaldo delima..Figo ...casillas..Raul...f.heirro, Ramos ...etc...are all part of the history....
I was even telling some guys that Madrid doesn't need mbappe..if he comes fine ...but we are only inviting him join the winning team..not that we can't do without him or we need him for UCL... If there is one thing Madrid is good at..yeah it will definitely be the ability to move on when a big player leaves.... that's our tradition... You nailed it and this is exact point we’ve been trying so hard to make most people understand. |

To be very sincere, no team deserves to win the UCL this season more than Real Madrid.
It’s wasn’t a smooth ride for Madrid but they showed strength, character and winning mentality of a true champion.
They fought PSG, CHELSEA & MAN CITY like hungry lions
Congratulations to Madrid.
With him, they won 2 La liga in 9years. Without him, they have won 2 in 4years.
Without him, they are Champions of Europe Without them, he’s yet to cross UCL Quarter final in 4years.
Be like say, him need Madrid more than we were made to believe

Kingcalls: But he did?? Wasn't Barcelona wrecked b4 he left?? after collecting 600m in wages , is it a lie?? Very funny but no fact to back your claim. Gross misappropriation of funds by Bartomeu wrecked Barcelona not Messi. Was it Messi that spent 140m to sign injury prone Dembele? Did Messi advice Bartomeu to spend 130m on Coutinho? How about buying Greizmann for 120M? Messi’s wage was never their problem because after he left, they still had to move some player to be able to register the Memphis, Aguero and few other players. Bartomeu had a wage bill of about 135%….. about 50% higher than la liga bench mark. Messi left and Barcelona wage bill was still around a 110% At this point, you don’t need a soothsayer to tell you why vote of no confidence was passed on Bartomeu

During their time in Spain.
Pep- 1 laliga 1 ucl 1 copa dey rey
Mou- 1 la liga 1 supercopa
Ask Piquw who chased Pep out of Spain? It’s clear you lack what to say……. According to you, Mou chased Pep that won the following during Mou’s time with Madrid. UCL La liga Copa Del Rey Club World Cup UEFA & Spanish Super Cup All nice and good but if I may ask, where is Mou’s UCL, CWC, UEFA & Spanish Super Cup in Madrid? And before we go any further with your baseless comparison, let’s take a short trip to England and compare their achievements since you are hell bent on mocking Mourinho First of all, Pep and Mou spent big to build and also fortify their respective teams. Pep won 2 leagues and about 3 or 4 domestic cups during Mou’s time at Old Trafford. Man United sacked Mou but Pep is still doing well with City…… infact, he just added another league to his resume. Mou joined Spurs and got sacked again for underperforming…… Guess what? Pep did it again!! While Pep was busy winning EPL and other domestic cups with Man City, Mou was busy signing sack and contract termination letters. You go like discuss head to head? You and I do not need to analyze how many times Pep has dealt with his team. In Spain, achievements and stats placed Pep ahead of Mou. In England, achievements and stats still shows Pep is ahead. While it took Mou, 2 stints and about 7-8years combine to win 3 EPL. It took Pep just 6years to deliver 4 EPL in a time when competition is much stronger in England. Don’t ever start what you obviously can’t finish. |
