I LIKE THE GRAPHS, did it come with the inverter?..or another app?
It didn't come with inverter, It's emoncms mobile app, it's reading data from an emoncms server that I have setup on my RaspberryPi to receive data the inverter via USB.

@ house, anybbody running a batteryless inverter? in battreyless mode?
You can look at this post:

how soon are you getting the genpal?, ..am tempted to buy the GK series as well.
4.8kwh for a setup that goes into float by noon isnt bad...as most systems usually produce 40 to 50% of their capacity by noon. this implies you wud be hitting 3.5kwh to 4kwh by noon
GenPal secured will hopefully get through with installation this week but will only be able to provide some useful info next week. That said I checked my log today and was at 2.7kwh by 11am and the system did 5.2kwh on Friday, which is the highest have done so far. Will see how far it goes with at least 3hrs constant GenPal load from next week.

Cheers!

Please I need someone to give me brake down how to go about IELTS I want to register by January
Thanks
What do you want to know about IELTS? It consist of 4 parts, writing, listening, speaking and reading. You can do the paper or computer based. I think the computer based offered by British council is only done in Lagos, Abuja and Ibadan. You have more location options with paper based test.

If you are used to engaging in English and comfortable with PC, I will suggest you go for CBT. I did CBT on first attempt without significant preparation and got a 7.5 overall (a band was 8.0, with lowest score in writing and I expected it). If you can be attentive during the listening and reading section then you should be fine.

I think a lot of people go to IELTS test centre with fear as if it's one almighty exam, so they IMO over prepare. It's only the listening and reading that needs you to answer the questions correctly. For the others you just need to communicate fluently in English

hi Ojesky why do you want to increase your cut-off voltage? the cut-off voltage should be lower than your battery voltage as that is the position you set so that your battery shouldn't be dangerously depleted
I want to maintain an actual 50% DoD on my batteries which is around 24.2v, am not able to do that with the cut-off voltage, the highest I could get to set is 23.9v

a 48V system and my Inverter even thou MPP but the 5048ms type i will be showcasing the staking of the 2nd 5048ms to get 10KW and 20KW peak soon with additional pylontechs batteries soon
So are you saying that in your 48V MPP inverter you could for instance set cut-off voltage that is above 48V?

Too bad.
You are not totally free from blame either..
People will not come here to qaqc whatever their engr installer plans to set up for them, or even give the job to any of the forum installers like zeestone, niyi, kiekie etc....

But will now run to this forum when their installation is giving them issues, meanwhile the installer is resting easy & smiling with their hand earned money in his pocket.

Sry if i sound harsh, but thats the bare aszed truth grin
Even with my moderate DIY experience I would be happy to engage the gurus here (including yourself) but at times proximity can also be a constraint. So not everyone wants to use inexperienced installers at times it's lack of an alternative (with budget consideration as well)

i am using a third party software to realize that, but are you using watchpower you can set the cut of voltage from there
Yeah I do have watch power and even with that am not able to go beyond 24v for cut off voltage, are you able to do that with yours?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojeysky(m): 11:50am On Dec 14, 2019
Anyone using mpp solar inverters? I have been trying to set my battery cut off voltage above 24v but that has not been possible, the highest I could set was 23.9v and that is not the 50% DoD that I wanted. Any idea on how to go about this?

Thanks for the response bros.

But does the state of the battery affect harvest?

It's a new battery by the way, luminous tubular.

I want to try washing the panels first cos on a closer look, they appear dirty with fungi growing on the edges.

Let me see if there'll be improvement
Yes it's possible there was a time my batteries were giving up and hervest reduced. However it seem that is not your case since you have a new battery.

This is indeed better than the previous one as it has mppt, though I won't also recommend this due to the very low max pv

Hello house, been a while.

Pls I have a set up similar to this.

2 250- watt solar panels
220ah luminous battery and
A 40 ah mppt charge controller.

When I changed my controller from pwm to mppt, I was getting harvest of around 85 ah per day, that was around July last year.

But since around October last year to today, the harvest has dropped sharply to about 35 ah per day.

What could be the issue?
It's probably your battery that is gradually giving up the ghost. You may also check if some structure was introduced that may have caused some form of shading

Condition: New (pristine)
Fuel type: Diesel
Color: Black
Capacity: 6.5 KVA
Sound level: silent
Key start: available
Mobile: 4 motorized tires
Location: Enugu, Enugu State

Whatsapp or call for details: 07033666876
This is not I pass my neighbor, but I pass my neighborhood.

With this gen set, you get to enjoy super-silent power supply, and avoid the cacophony that’s other power generators are known for.
You didn't include price, Enugu is quite a distance though but price will determine interest

Hi guys I
I am also considering ThunderVolts 6v 400AH from solar deport, unfortunately there is hardly any official spec sheet on the battery, no manufacturer's details, no recommended charge voltage no nothing. Some asked about the spec sheet and got no reply. If anyone has used it before place share your experience
Solar depot seem to indicate the max charge rate to be 120A, I think I also seen same quoted by a seller on jiji in the past as well.

Well my battery bank is relatively small, it's 300AH 24v. On that particular day, I was hitting around 3.5kwh by 2pm, as I had a need to pump water and wash at the same time. Nature was also friendly

the jury is still out, i easily averaged 5.5kwh - 6.3kwh, from 1.5kw panel array on morning star 45amp CC. i however struggled to achieve same with a 60amp epsolar itracer, 3s2p config, now that i have even switched to 2000w array, i still struggle to exceed 6.5kwh daily. the cc rarely displays absorb, so i could say that the battery isnt full always
We both have 2kw array, though different setup as mine is 8s1p. However the highest I have seen is about 4.8kwh, this can be because I am not utilising the generation optimally as I get to float by noon. Am getting close to procuring a GenCool/GenPal AC which will then give me a basis to experiment. Will report my findings in future, but for now I will still convince myself that my GK is doing fine. grin cool

yeah the chinese products are cheap for a reason....i hv started to realize that. ....plan to gradually do away with them, .a reduced harvest of say 300 to 500w daily over time....will pay for itself overtime,
We were discussing our hervest pattern a few threads back, so you've figured that the culprit is the CC and not the panels? Or were you referring to Chinese panels in your comment above?

I was able to pull data from my own unit "free" using some C library I saw online which uses /dev/hidraw0 driver for Linux to pull data from the unit. works pretty well after I rigged the code to work with emoncms
Am certainly able to pull data as well, just a particular item that I am looking to display on my dashboard. See below
Meanwhile your overall system generation has Mw symbol (ref: your online log)

I just made it to look like the ICC because i like the dash, what you saw was totally made by me from scratch

I use the 1.5HP GenCool. Its great. I have a Power Meter attached to it. I noticed if you put it in the GenMode, It will peak at 850Watts or slightly less. It is great. You can give it a try.
Meanwhile, on your emoncms dashboard I see you have the battery AH log, can you tell me how you got to set that up? I run emoncms as well but have been trying to get the AH on my dash as well.

Thanks for your response, do you think if I get a 1HP there will be significant reduction in the consumption compared to 1.5HP that does 850w?
