It's comments as these that reveal the level of depravity, entitlement, and lack of understanding of prevailing events that bedevil us in this country. Here is a resident of Abia whose state governors have consistently stolen the wealth of the state to fund their own empires with little or no protests from the inhabitants and citizenry, yet he would like to collect 1ook without having to grow the loan from the statutory 10k starting point and he actually expects that the money would be given him by VP Osinbajo in spite of the numerous publications to have gone out that the VP never handed out any monies but the Bank of Industrydid transfers to bank accounts directly, and also that the scheme is no longer under the supervision of the office of the VP but rather with the Minister of Humanitarian and Disaster management. It is quite clear that tangential speech disorder is at play here, but it is still redeemable. Try to read the topic and comment appropriately before going off to start a new thread on whatever idea might be coming to you. You are welcome Rawtruth1: |
Members of the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday observed a minute’s silence to mourn those killed by terrorists in Borno State on Monday. It would be recalled that Boko Haram insurgents who have since taken to attacking soft targets, carried out a raid on certain members of the public who were prevented from entering the Maiduguri metropolis due to the curfew being in effect. It was also held for the death of former Chief of Naval Staff, the late Vice-Admiral Patrick Koshoni. The naval chief died on January 25, 2020, after a brief illness. Born in Lagos on April 11, 1943, Koshoni joined the navy on June 11, 1962, after his secondary education at St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Lagos. That same year he started the naval cadetship training at the National Defence Training Academy in India and was commissioned Sub-Lieutenant on July 13, 1964. Left to mourn him are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Koshoni; children and grandchildren. Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, presided over the session in the absence of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd.). who is currently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the 33rd Ordinary Session of Presidents and Governments of the African Union. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/osinbajo-presides-as-fec-observes-one-minute-silence-for-borno-terror-victims/amp/

For all those who are wondering, Mrs. Dolapo was representing the Fisrt Lady, Aisha Buhari at the book lunch of the former boss of the EFCC.

if u had your business proposal as to how you would spice up the wardrobe of VP Osinbajo, I doubt if he would not at least hear you out, He tends to encourage entrepreneural young Nigerians sadi78: |
Only yesterday VP Osinbajo was in Nasarawa state to flag off the 26th MSMEClinics and it was a resounding success. Most folks on this thread were mum because they usually are not happy when constructive and developmental deeds are being done. These persons only beguile themselves with tales they feel put others in a bad light. No one they know can hold a candle to the Vice President and it hurts them in places the sun don't shine NigeriaBam: |
Thank you once again Prof Osinbajo for representing the country and doing us proud. In a gathering of Presidents and Heads of States, you once again proved why you are held in high regard in the international community.

Many are the opportunities that arise from attending these MSME Clinics but the greatest of this is having a lot of these regulatory bodies in the same location to enable start-ups quickly get their feet underneath them. Then there is the fact that the state launches are always supervised by VP Osinbajo and as such most facilitators bring out their A-game as the aim is to improve our ease of doing business |
In order to consolidate efforts made by the Federal Government in the past four years to improve the economy, there is the need for stronger collaboration with States to, amongst other things, create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive especially the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN. Prof. Osinbajo stated this in Lafia on Monday at the launch of the Nasarawa State edition of the National MSMEs Clinics, which is the 26th in the series. According to the Vice President, “Our expectation is that this 26th edition of the National MSME Clinics holding here in Nasarawa State will give further impetus to the process. “I want to emphasise that it is important for small businesses to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the MSME Clinics. “Just as the MSME Clinics provide an opportunity for Federal Government regulatory agencies to inform small businesses about their requirements and business procedures, MSMEs are also expected to use this occasion to bring up their challenges and problems for possible solution. “It is through this symbiotic process that we will be fulfilling the key purposes for the organisation of MSME Clinics. “I would also urge the Nasarawa State Government to build on the achievements of this Clinic.” Speaking further on the need for a stronger collaboration between States and the Federal Government, the Vice President said “the work of creating an enabling business environment cannot be done without the States. So, our best can be attained where the States also set up their own enabling business environment councils.” The VP added that, "President Buhari is determined to create a Nigeria in which small business owners are nurtured and encouraged to thrive and prosper" Prof. Osinbajo then thanked Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule for the warm hospitality, noting that he hoped the Governor's clarity of vision and demonstrated passion for development will enable Nasarawa State realise its dream of becoming a major economic force in the future. Earlier in his remarks, Governor Sule thanked the Vice President for his interest in the development of the country, noting that his visit to the state on three different occasions to monitor initiatives aimed at improving the economy is a testimony to his commitment. While welcoming the VP to his Palace on a courtesy call, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I, the Emir of Lafia, praised the President and described VP Osinbajo as a pace setter, adding that Nigeria will certainly benefit from his tremendous experience and excellent character. “Today, I really feel fulfilled in life to receive you at this ancient palace; it has always been my dream in life that one day, the Almighty will bring you here. I have my special reasons for that; those of us in the legal profession will appreciate the fact that you are a pace-setter for what is today the modern judiciary in Nigeria. “Your appointment as the Attorney General of Lagos State, which brought about the revolution we are having today in Nigeria’s judiciary. “It was when you came in that we had the first ever review of the Rules of Court; we never had that in Nigeria; we then at the Federal Capital went to borrow and see what was going on in Lagos; and today that has become the uniform rule in Nigeria; it is your handiwork." Continuing, he said, “we thank God for your life, but we know for sure that this country will continue to benefit immensely from your experience and character. No one can doubt the fact that both of you, President Muhammadu Buhari and yourself as deputy, are showing the best in character and exemplary leadership. “We thank God for giving this country the two of you today, you have kept this country going and you will keep us going. There is no doubt that, as we journey through, you are taking us to the next level.” The Emir of Lafia presented the VP with gifts he said are reserved for "the best of guests," including a royal horse. Other features of the Nasarawa MSMEs launch were the inspection of exhibition stands by the VP and the inauguration of the state’s Ease of Doing Business Advisory Council, with honorary membership drawn from Nigerians across diverse backgrounds, including Amb. Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu, the Economic Adviser to the President in the Office of the Vice President. The Nasarawa State's Enabling Business Environment Council is fashioned after the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, which is chaired by the Vice President. |
In as much as the offices of the chief justice of Nigeria and the attorney general of the federation don't report to him, VP Osinbajo has always sought to contribute positively to the judiciary. A good example being the recent short skit titled #RunForJustice |
Seriously, as already said this is just a click bait looking to rouse the unsuspecting and the unwise |
Even if nothing kicks your thinking faculty into gear, the name vibranium valley should. The more start ups congregate and begin to take advantage of the economies of scale, then progress can be quantified in leaps and bounds. VP Osinbajo would surely not relent until we aren't quantifying the finished products but rather qualifying it |
*Prof. Sagay, PACAC commends Buhari administration, calls VP 'sterling' deputy* To underscore its commitment to the fight against corruption, the Buhari administration will continue to ramp up efforts in this area and engage more with anti-corruption agencies to highlight the progress recorded by the administration, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN. Prof. Osinbajo stated this on Friday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when he received a delegation from the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), led by its Chairman, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN). The Vice President noted that Government will ramp up efforts to ensure that there is better synergy among anti-corruption agencies and other government agencies so as to push out the correct narratives on the fight against corruption. "Nigerians are definitely familiar with the anti-corruption drive of this administration," the VP noted while stating that efforts to enlighten the public within Nigeria and beyond would be ramped up significantly. In his remarks, the Chairman of PACAC, Prof. Sagay, noted that the administration has recorded significant achievements in its fight against corruption. Prof. Sagay, renowned for his uncompromising stand in the fight against corruption by the Buhari administration, also expressed confidence in the sterling leadership role played by the Vice President in the achievements recorded so far by the committee. He said, “We want to assure you of our confidence in your leadership, not only in the supervision of PACAC, but as a leader in this country. We also want to assure you that we have noted with pleasure your sterling performance as Vice President, and we regard you as a very successful co-pilot with President Muhammadu Buhari in steering the ship of this nation. “We have absolute confidence in your leadership and will continue to associate with you and will look for your supervision and leadership role in what we are doing.” The PACAC Chairman noted that a data and information synergy with the anti-corruption agencies would help to further highlight the efforts of this administration in its anti-corruption drive. |
We all need to play our part and Run for Justice... We all know that like VP Osinbajo said, every contribution counts in re-installing our justice system. |
This case has been amicable resolved by all parties involved as relayed by VP Osinbajo media aide on the day of the incident, but the law has to take it's due course so hopefully this will be gets settled at the next hearing. |
Education is the fastest means to liberalize people and it is obviously one of the main pillars that VP Osinbajo is using to tackle the menace of poverty especially at the level of kids in the society. |
when VP Osinbajo is quoted out of context, or a web of tales spun from a half-sentence it usually begs the idea of why exactly they do it or what the intention really is. Do they seek to use his name to acquire a lil fame or are they simply deluded as to what actually obtains in the Political Sphere? |
It is sad that after the flurry of the where's the VP HASHTAG, and all that was done to educate the people on the functions of the Vice President which is currently occupied by Professor Osinbajo, people still decide to remain ignoramus. It's very sad. Let's all try to Google the constitutional responsibilities of the VP and stop expecting him to be the spokesperson of various ministries |
Would that be because Adeboye was on the podium swearing an oath to all Nigerians according to the Constitution of the Federal Republic? Why does everyone just see the need to give advice to VP Osinbajo who never needed it prior to 5 years ago? Mummyfour: |
Is there any need for spelling the name of the Vice president wrong? Is like to this intentional or is your spelling ability delinquent? Kingrefreshed: |
Your postulation holds not a shed of veracity. Atiku was actually victimised by obasanjo, yet he didn't resign. Sides complaining and criticism, I'd have expected all those commenting ignorantly to read the the suggestions made by prof Osinbajo and constructively disect the pros and cons of each. Rather they'd all resort to cheap insults. kingkakaone: |
Vice President Osinbajo has just given a snippet into some of the deliberations that went on in the last security meeting and they look like good plans. Hopefully the determination of our security agents as well as the prayers of the Christian leaders as well as the prayer walk of the RCCG will bring about a turn around and improve the security situation in the country |
In the words of VP Osinbajo, The ties that bind us are greater than our differences. The intermarriages that have taken place let us know that surely there's more to us as a people than our different cultures and religions. |
Were the voters from Benin or Chad? if 10 Nigerians voted they are Nigerians, or she can't run a poll again even if she is Buhari's daughter? Secondly, should the articles be centered on favorable or unfavorable tones as against the dictates of Journalism which are Objectivity and Truth? etebefia: |
is there any particular reason you avoided the strongest combination of VP Osinbajo and Gov El-Rufai? tophumble: |
The same persons saying that they expected VP Osinbajo to join in the march are the very same ones that would have criticized him if He had, asking if he was the VP to only RCCG or broadly speaking Christians. Not one of them stopped to ask FFK why he himself didn't join in the Prayer walk or isn't supposed to be a Christian leader and theologian? Can someone ask him why we did not see him when the PDP were making protests about SC judgment at the US embassy? |
Is there a reason why you are this story from over a week ago is suddenly being resurfaced? Vice president Osinbajo made his forecast of 3% and some renowned economist actually said it might actually be around the 2.5% mark which is still a lot of growth itself, but we as Nigerians fail to read and grasp the sectors being focused on so that we might tap into it rather we criticize without ever suggesting better alternatives. Quite pitiful |
The same ones urging Osinbajo to resign are the same ones that were singing his praises when he was in charge during the times when the Present was unavailable. Mankind hasn't changed the sang Hossana yet still screamed crucify him barely a week later. All those who Think the VP should resign actually can barely see beyond their nose and are fixated on regional and religious politics. Drops Mic |
People have survived from planes that had mishaps from over 20,000 feet. The fact that the numbers are few and aircraft accidents are usually fatal does not mean that there aren't any. Call it luck, others call it a miracle, but if your ticket ain't punched yet, one can even survive a bullet wound to the head HacheNoire: |
Here goes another who is devoid of full information but full of half baked opinion. The said helicopter was a chartered flight and the investigation that was carried out by the flight operators Caverton Helicopters, the company that owned the aircraft that crashed, said no-one was hurt in the incident and blamed "unusual weather conditions", Eyewitnesses say dust thrown up as the helicopter approached to land by the Kabba Township Stadium may have impaired the pilot's visibility. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-47108139 RZArecta: |
