Politics / Re: National Chairman Of Controversial APC's Speech by ojubi(m): 2:57am On Mar 15, 2013
for those of you who are saying a write up is not enough to support the new party, let me remind you that it was with a write up (speech) that a first time law maker, a black man, a new comer into the game told the world in the Democratic National convention that he will become president. And just like some of you on NL people thought he was jocking.but today he has made history. (President OBAMA) Let's keep tribalism and stupid loyalty aside, and put the interest of Nigeria at heart and this new APC party is just the medicament that this chronically ill country need to be well again. TINIBU and BUHARI just want to get to power by all cost, and trust me if they get there GEJ is going to look like an angel. So we need total departure from GEJ, TINIBU,BUHARI, LAI MOHAMED, PDP,CPC,APGA,ANPP, ACNetc. Just like BILLIONAIRE I am now a member of the real APC. I am getting my membership card soon. This new APC is purposeful.

Health / Re: 14 Reasons Why You Must Give Up Sugar. by ojubi(m): 4:43pm On Mar 14, 2013
0. Sugar can promote tooth decay and lead to periodontal disease.

11. Sugar can cause headaches, including migraines.

12. Sugar can cause depression.

13. Sugar feeds cancer.

14. Sugar is responsible for almost half of all ageing that takes place inside skin cells. Sugar binds with collagen (the protein that makes up 75% of skin) and activates a chemical reaction called glycation which damages elastin and collagen – the two substances your skin needs to stay supple and elastic. In the end sugar will lead to wrinkles and sagging skin. Sugary foods can also trigger increased sebum production which will clog your pores and result in acne breakouts.
Health / 14 Reasons Why You Must Give Up Sugar. by ojubi(m): 4:37pm On Mar 14, 2013
I saw this somewhere and I thought I should share it with you guys.
1. Sugar has been observed to aggravate asthma, move mood swings, provoke personality changes, muster mental illness, nourish nervous disorders, hurry heart disease, grow gallstones, hasten hypertension and lead to arthritis.

2. Sugar is nothing more than empty calories, with no nutritional value and is very addictive.

3. Sugar contains none of the essential nutrients. While it does provide us with a sudden energy boost, this is just a quick fix as the calories in sugar are soon burned by the body. This means that you will need more sugar more often in order to maintain your energy level. And since sugar is so high in calories, the more of it that you eat, the more weight you will gain. Unless you remain extremely active, your body simply can’t keep up with the calorie conversion required when you consume large amounts of sugar.

4. Sugar can lead to the development of diabetes. As sugar is consumed, it raises the glucose levels in your blood, triggering the release of insulin. Glucose levels, where too high, can result in serious conditions such as blindness, loss of circulation and diabetic coma. The effects of diabetes are so serious that stabilising blood glucose cannot be emphasised enough. Insulin also promotes the storage of fat so that when you take in lots of sugar you are making way for rapid weight gain and elevated triglyceride levels, both of which have been linked to cardiovascular disease.

5. Sugar can seriously depresses the immune system (leading to a whole new set of problems) and upset the body’s mineral balance.

6. Sugar can be responsible for hyperactivity, anxiety, depression, concentration difficulties and grumpiness in children while contributing to eczema.

7. Sugar can reduce good cholesterol and increase bad cholesterol.

8. Sugar can increase the growth of Candida and other yeast infections.

9. Sugar interferes with the absorption of calcium and magnesium and can contribute to osteoporosis.

Am enjoying this dramer.the PDP strategist are not sleeping at all, giving TINIBU and BUHARI a run for their money thereby forcing a name change this early. Indeed 2015 will be very interesting. For now GEJ still have my vote if he runs in 2015.

Health / Re: The Challenges Of Being A Nigerian Nurse by ojubi(m): 8:55am On Jan 24, 2013
@ Beautiful Onyi, your post just summerised your wrong personality, arrogance, and ignorance. You claime it takes only 3 years to be a nurse, you lied. It takes another 2 years after general nursing to specialise, that is second qualification. Then it takes another 4 years to have a degree, do the maths let see between a doc and a Nurse who spend more years studying. You also claim a child and an untrain person can practice nursing, that is the hight of ignorance.
Finally you exornorated foreign nurses from your insult. That tells me how ignorant you are, because you should know that the west african nursing corriculum is copied directly from the united kingdom.

Very interesting thread I must say.but before we further criticise the profession of nursing why not we state our own professions here and tell how well we behave and how well our client testify to our professionalism.
For example if you are a banker tell us I am a banker,I am very professional, I attend to costumers in the banking hall within the first 5 minutes of their arrival and they go with home hIghly satisfied such that they don't complain.

I made my first million in 2009, when I received the alaert from UBA I was so happy that I slot in DARLANE ZSCHECH "touching heaven changing earth" into my CD and danced until my naighbours were asking me what is the source of my joy.
Some weeks latter I acquired a landed property with the money.

In this tread I will like you to tell us how you felt when you made your first million, and possibly what you did with the money.
If you are not yet a millionaire tell us how you are going to feel once you get the alert, and what you will be doing with the money.
Nairaland / General / Re: Why Port Harcourt Aint Hospitable by ojubi(m): 6:54am On Jan 12, 2013
True talk. I live in eliohani, off east west road close to rumoudara junction. Driving out of my house in the morning is punishment and coming back from work is hell. Apart from staying in the hold-up for more than an hour, you have to practically squze your car into the bad roads with other motorist strougling the little track (road) with you.
I dont know what it will cost government to work the fucking roads.

I am the 1st son in a family of 7. My parents are not working, i paid d sch fee of my sis who is in yaba col. of tech. 2day. And paid feeding money into d account of the one dat is doing NCE today. I ve instructed another one to buy jamb form 2day. She shd start english-literature in unical by next year. D last 2 re in secondary school. Did i mention that i bought a Job wiv 300k last year for my immediate junior? He is still training and yet to earn a salary.
I am 30, i was lucky to find a good job post graduation. All my friends in the office are married. I still want to sacrifice to train dis kids, but people most times see me as an irresponsible man cos am not married yet. One thing i do is to try as much as possible to balance this responsibility with my personnal development. I am corrently in school too.
When it some times seem overwhelming i do what i can and live the rest to God.
I forced one to do part time so she can combine work with school and it is really helping.
The issue is if i abondon this responsibility today, it will still hunt me by tomorow. So i embrace it. And it has tot me never to run away from my fears, but to always confront them.
