AjanleKoko:My oga, i send you felicitations and compliments of the year!!! well i dont think so cos thats what it is, As a driller you are constantly on the rig floor drilling, making calculations and sending back datas to the office via satellite, anyway you still get to go to the office to write your report and findings in the form daily drilling report and brief the management on goings on the well wether there is improvement and likelyhood of hitting a pay zone or you just burning companies money. After that you are usually given 2 or 3 weeks off as the case may be but you should be on hand in case you are needed on the rig. Drilling job is a very complex job and they are other personnel that combines their expertise to make oil drilling worth while. So as u can see sir,its not your daily 9 - 5 routine, my friend just called me on the 24th of december last year and told me he is on the rig floor, far off the atlantic ocean, i could just imagine his agony coupled with the fact that he is newly married , well oil money no easy to chop like dat. |
@ nnaiah bros how far na ![]() i am lost in the race o, so good to see ur post, its been a long time i need the ides on a hard drive and i will like like the production planning module and SCM module and materials if u have them 2011 for me is SAP men , something is in the offing from what i gathered from one of my "ogas" please can u arange my request for me ? just hala me at my email, ekwokey(at)gmail.com take care, byu the way how was ur xmas, enuff sloshing i guess , we will get there, take care |
Drilling job is not an office affair, production is continous. well for me am no longer on the field, office is it for me for now. @ Natgas , u said u r in Logistic , is it with an oil and gas coy? why do u want to switch? logistic is a very hot career and will get hotter in 2011 stay cool |
yes there very real!!!! i did business with them this year around august, they did not disappoint. only their service charge is on the high side, but they deliver no qualms.u can visit them at ikeja.go to their site make inquiries ![]() |
^^^^^^^ at kengali, wht you shud do is write to the school and inquire from them, from my experience with clausthal, i think u will be mandated to do one month german immersion course before u can proceed for the program in Germany, but this is not a prerequisite as the program is been taught in english, the essence is to help you interact with the indigenes who might not be predispose to english. clausthal is vey reputable in terms global recognition as their teaching is based on 70% research work with service coys like slb, baker hughes, kca deutag ,halliburton, etc, and after you finish your program i think you will have to do an internship in one of these oil coys that have a research patnership with clausthal All in all the graduands from the school are highly sought after and 90 % get jobs as drilling supervisors after school, although i was not opportuned to attend the school due to some personal reasons but i spoke at lenght with one of their alumnus during a training section at NPDC benin. take the chance u will not regret it ,their fees are kinda low(free even) cos the money u will remit to the bank acct in Germany will be for ur upkeeps and books. its even cheap at around 8000 euros, believ thats the best sure way to get into germany with a sure job cos germany is short of engineers that migrated to the UK thru this HSMP scheme, so take the chance , but if u still feel that herriot wyatt and rgu is wat u want then u have to save like 7 milla to get going, their drilling engineering school fees no be beans! As for hungary their teaching mode is in english, u dont have to learn hungary and 2 million naira is enuff for u to do the course although i dont really know much abt them cos i didnt interacty with dem much. u can also try austria, there is a petroleum engineering school there i think university of leoban or so if am correct, their fees too is ok and the teaching is qualitative and they have a research program with heriot wyatt, besids they too r looking for skilled immigrant too!, i know cos they came to unilag some times 4 yrs back to woo student to come to austria, even getting u married to one of their daughters was part of the package !!! , so take the chance drilling engineering is a favorable and rewarding career ![]() |

@ AjanleKoko you are one of those that make this career section "thick", i really appreciate ur insight and mentorship regarding career enhancement, i doff my hat for you ![]() Anyway, please wats ur take on this business analysis program do we engineers really need it? and how globally relevant is it?, also wat is ur take on CIPS, i read from somewhere on this forum where you favoured CIMA over CIPS, are u saying that CIPS is not a relevant certification, or is it just your own candid opinion? and lastly, in the procurement world, which one of these is more recognized CIPS or CSCP?, i know u really not a procurement guy but with your experience and "job-trotting" u should ve a thing or two to say |

U VE HEARD IT ALL!!.fire the motherfucker he wants to ruin u, being his cousin and all is emotional blackmail,if u let it to come into ur business ur competitor will win and u loose becos of one ungrateful tramp, the choice is urs, i had an uncle who was doing this kind of good samaritan gesture,in the end he has nothing to show for it but ingratitude from the same people he lifted up from the hands of poverty, cousin and cousin nig plc, today he is regretting, so the ball is in ur court afterall u r still the boss,if u want the company to thrive, take decisive decisions and remove emotional sentiments, i bet ur cousin will not try this nonsense with an INDIAN!!!, or a CHINESE. |

nice thread, two thumbs for ajekoko, i hope i got that rite ![]() anyway i dont really know where i fall in but i guess i am ambitious and sometimes challenge the status quo if i feel things are not cranking up a little,i think this brought me at logger heads with my present "boss" ,i hate to call him boss cos we all were recruited together and due to Godfatherism and tribal preference ,he was elevated to a post mearnt for expatriates!!!.we have had issues on work process flow and sometimes personall difference, due to this complex of him been a HND holder and me a Beng, , very trival u might say,so to get back at me he promotes staff that are less competent than me with little or no experience because he can control and manipulate them!!!, which he can never try with me!!, what he does now is to use newly hire green horns who he feels he can control to monitor me anytime i am on my system ,to know if i am sending mails to the HR about this, i remain unpertubed cos a golden fish has no hiding place, i intend moving to another coy by GODS grace two months from now, so much for insubordination!!! |
AfricaFace:dont mind him, make him go check wetin dey happen for the banking industry,he still dey ask whether make him collect 50k job, no!! dont collect, wait for 500k job! |
Moranike:u mean empire at ojuelegba?? ![]() |

ONLY IN LAGOS WILL YOU SEE THIS INSCRIPTION " SHIT BUSINESS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS" ONLY IN LAGOS WILL SEE MAMA PUT COOKING SOUP WITH BROOM!!!! DURING THE MOLUE ERA , ONLY IN LAGOS WILL SEE 44 SITTING AND 99 STANDING!! - reminds of one drama that happen on my way to oshodi during the molue era, on woman that was standing sandwiched between two men was complaining that something is "stabbing" her behind and she was feeling uncomfortable, she told the man standong in her front to adjust a little so she can move forward, cos the guy standing behing her was too close for her comfort and she is kinda feeling something hard is "poking her behind.the guy in the standing in her front refused!! y ,becos he too was enjoying the the "push from the woman's "man-chester" and the woman is naturally endowed in both department. she was telling the guy behind her to shift back a little, for all guy care ,she may talking to a statue cos the guy behind her was sweating profusely and still glued to the woman as if his life depends on it, any time the molue jolts the vibration causes the both of them to follow suit, both men were enjoying the ride!!!, until the woman now shouted out that something is "shooking" her and extricated her self some from both men , lo and behold the guy behind the woman had a BIG ERECTION!!!! IT was so glaring that the guy could not hide it ,everybody now knew y the guy was sweating and did not bither to move back when the woman told him to shift a little, he was having the ECSTACY OF HIS LIFE!!, meen i tire for lagos drama |
