Christianity Etc › Re: Is The Deeper Life Bible Church A Cult ? by OkoAnike(m): 6:41pm On Dec 16, 2017 |
frosbel2: I was a Deeper Life member and worker and almost a Pastor for about 20 years.
Initially when you join it appears to be one great club of humble believers, but afterwards you notice the following traits of their organisation ;
• They are beholden to one man, Pastor Kumuyi
• Anything Pastor Kumuiyi says is truth and if you do not like it you must leave or start your own church
• They are so spiritually arrogant, and portray their church as the next best thing to holiness while other churches are either further away from holiness or fake altogether
• They separate families, husbands and wives, children and parents, siblings, co-workers etc .
• If you are in a second marriage and become born again (so called), you must go back to your first wife and reconcile to her, assuming she is unmarried because your second wife is not recognized by God. Imagine the confusion this will cause especially with children involved.
• They lack true compassion and love for everyone else other than their own members
• They use hell fire to threaten their members into paying tithes and to abide by church rules and regulations.
• If you are not careful, the church will take over your individuality and you will become another zombie minion without a mind of your own
• The church also has to tendency to preach against wine or alcohol intake, something that was never commanded in the bible, rather the bible says we should do everything in moderation
• It is difficult to be truly happy in Deeper Life because you are always fighting one sin or the other or chasing one demon or the other
• Their focus is strongly selfish, it is all about your own salvation and escaping hell to make heaven.
• They will often tell off young women for certain styles of dressing, the problem is many of these same women have the heart of Jezebel, very similar to a modest radical Muslim woman who despite dressing modestly with the Hijab will easily blow up innocent civilians in the name of her god.
• They preach the fables and myths of a fictitious rapture (started by a charlatan called Scholfield ) , Trinity and Hell fire
Young ones, do not be enticed to join. God has called you to express your individuality and make choices in favour of righteousness and peace. God does not want any man to rule over you or force his own belief on you. You are answerable only to God and not Man.
Enjoy this life and all that goes with you, don’t live a life of misery in the name or religion. Check your life and u will realise something is missing... |

GratefulHeart23: Hypocrites everywhere. If the woman were to divorce the man coz he brought home a child outside wedlock, some funny characters would definitely criticise and won't mind crucifying her. Some will even tell her to keep praying for him. Mtcheeeew! Why not advise the holier than thou with no blemish herbalist to also pray for the wife and take care of the child after all that's the same advice most people would give the woman if she were the victim. Op, I totally agree with your view, but don't u think the innocent child deserve to know his biological father? Your analogy is saying expertly the same thing, let this young innocent child go to his biological father. But on a lighter note, I don't think that should be the yardstick for divorce. Enjoy your day and work safe. |

olasaad: Pls what is the cost of DNA testing
*pls sop quoting me I just wanted to know if it avoidable or cost. Nothing personal. Op, if you are carrying out a test on just one child, it's 100k. But in a situation where you are doing more than one, then the subsequent one will attract 50k. Enjoy your day and work safe. |

MasViews: Yeah, I'm a Northerner and a Muslim but I'm 100% against this practice. What I want Nigerians to understand is that not all Northerners are supporting this act, more than 80% of Northerners are against this. Most of the people that practice this are villagers and some villagers are against it, Infact ISLAM is against it.
Traditional rulers and Islamic scholars are trying thier best to see the end of it (you know how stubborn villagers can be) So please just because some few among us are practicing it doesn't mean the whole region or religion is supporting/encouraging it. Op, it's good to talk about fact that you can substantiate. I disagree that Islam did not support the said topic, Because the Qur'an recommend that a young lady must not observe her second menstrual period in her father's house. Note that this is one major factor that Muslim hang on to. U said it applicable to villagers, is Senator Yerima a villager and the majority of Muslim practicing this act? U came with statistics of 80%, please where did you get that figure, please before stating such figure please include your findings and the source of ur info. I totally agree with you saying you are not supporting such act because you said so, but please in respect to the said topic, speak for your self and don't quote Islam. Enjoy your day @work and work safe. |

Destined2win: One of the reasons why I come here is because I desire to learn from people who are already in the 'business' of marriage. This is borne out of a dream to have an exceptional home; a marriage where I will smile all day because I am married; a marriage where the blessings of marriage surround me. I know I am not alone in this as there are a lot of young men like me who have such desires in their heart.
So if you are married and your opinion is being sought, it is because we don't wanna make mistakes. We want to know what works and what doesn't work.
Supposing you have a son or daughter who desires to get married or is about to get married and you want that child's marriage to succeed, what will be your greatest advise to that child of yours?
Please tell stories where applicable.
Thanks! 1. Op, marry your friend, some one you 've been friend with before love. 2. Marry some one that have an element of God in them. 11 years going and it's been compromise for each other and fun in our marriage. Wish you all the best. |

Romance › Re: My Woman Sex Life Is Dead, Someone Should Help Pls. by OkoAnike(m): 6:41am On Jul 08, 2017 |
Op, I 've decide to be a ghost reader on NL thread for many reasons, but let me give this a shot...
I think u just need to calm down and ask so many questions in a joking and happy mood, I know bcoz of this u would have developed some attitude, hence making the matter worst.
I like sex as a young man growing and even after marriage sex is so sweet for me, but after my second son, I lost appetite for sex. My wife practically beg me for sex which never happened, then I knew something is wrong, but then things get worse bcoz my job move me out of the state then I was happy, to cut the story short.
When I travel to visit my family, I don't know where my wife got the idea from, she spent time to get my attention to watch series of some video on YouTube of what is happening in many homes "DIVORCE COURT" and from there I learned so many things, that even if not convenient sacrifice is /are made in marriage especially sensitive issues like SEX and from there my drive return.
But I think it a serious work that you must do to make her feel loved first, take away the attitude u already develop, act as if everything is perfect show her love, if can buy gift and after both of you are on the same page then, may be after close of work, let her know u on ur way home talking dirty content in btw ur messages, hence preparing her mind for ur coming, do some thing to put her in the mood, that will do a lot of help.
God help you and bless your young home |
