kayperry: when will you people learn, how does simplicity solve nigeria problem, was jonathan not simple enough. Mr integrity even made so much sense buh where as it landed us. All these I like him because he is gentle or he is simple talk should be saved for trash, personal trait don't guarantee effeciency, candidate portfolios in public service should be the valid conversation Maybe you should research about the strides he made in public service. Peter is the only Governor since 1999 who moves around freely and without security. He has no corruption cases against him( forget that claim of N250m in his convoy,it's hog wash, Peter even wrote to the IG then to investigate it and it was bunkum). He may not have all the solutions to Nigerias current problems but he is still the best amongst the options we have. During his reign as Governor, only Fashola came close. Go figure. |

Seeing the kind of comments i see here disparaging Obi tells me Nigerians deserve the kind of leader they get.
The kind of financial culture adopted by Obi is very alien to most Nigerians but rather than giving him credit, they would shout him down yet we complain when our resources are wasted by our leaders.
People would rather rally round an extravagant politician who will waste state resources in the hope that they get a slice than someone who is economical and demonstrated that all his life, a manager of resources.
And when things go south they would say youths should come out and protest.
Nigerians should be begging Obi to contest but here they are denigrating him. |

one thing about ndi Igbo is we are educated, smart in business, but when it comes to politics, we are not smart, we have no strategy. Our brain is so blocked to even see something that is clear before our own eyes is our collective shame. We talk recklessly but in politics, an illiterate Fulani with just a radio is better than us.
That an adult does not know the difference between a party giving you a ticket and a party giving you a winning ticket is a shame.
Let me tell you Ojkwu once had APGA ticket for President yet he failed in Anambra. Moghalu ran last election as President but couldn't even win his ward.you dont just need a ticket. You need a ticket with the consensus of at least 4 of the 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria. Atiku ran in 2019 and lost Billions of Naira but didn't go bankrupt. Peter Obi cannot invest tge kind of money Atiku sank in a party in opposition. He may never recover from the bankruptcy. No southeast person can fund an election under an opposition party today. Dave Umahi was smart that's why he is contesting to get the ruling party's ticket. Thats the only chance for Ndi Igbo to be resident in 2023.
The only way the southeast can be President in 2023 is by the getting the support of the ruling party and the incumbent President. Anything outside that is bonkom. No Igbo man can fund a Presidential campaign in 2023 through opposition.
Now iwutu nwa afor Igbo please be smart. The southsouth and southwest have refused to endorse your agitation. Rather they want to even upstage you. So activate sense. Activate Plan B. If southsouth or southwest grab Presidency in 2023 you are in for the next 16 years and that is 2038. So the simple sense is if given the unlikely choice to choose between 16 years in 2038 and 8 years for 2031 which do you choose?
Remember politics is local. Remember politics is a game of interest. Stop reasoning like other people's mugu. Play the game. Play your game. Stop complaining. Enter the ring and fight. The two choices are before you. Stop complaining and crying. Do politics. Your submission makes a lot of sense but you are leaving one thing out i.e the clamour for Obi presidency is not a south east project,it is a Nigerian project by the ordinary Nigerian people. People have seen the negative impact a non-focused ,visionless and nepotistic president has on their economic fortunes a la Buharis Government and have decided to rally round Peter. The only person that comes close to Peter in my opinion in terms of pedigree is Osinbanjo unfortunately he is besmirched by the atrocities of this regime. Let Peter open a Go fund me account today in respect of his presidential ambition and see the kind of support he will get from all corners of this country. The mistake he or his team will make is to make his presidential bid about South east, if he does people will abandon the project. This is because the average Nigerian does not trust the igbo man, the activities of IPOB has further escalated those concerns. He does not have to disassociate himself from Igbo, he is an ibo man by origin (and don't get me wrong there is nothing negative the ibo man has done that other tribes have not done maybe even more)rather he should sell his credibility ,Nigerians will buy in. Note I am not igbo but i love the man (no homo).I didnt know I would live to see a Nigerian politician with his kind of attributes. |

If that previous judgment had stood, it would have been a case of gross injustice against GTB because Innoson is a con artist who think he can use a cunning way to secure his win.
Let’s see how it goes with the case, we will see where it eventually lands. Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you. Guy wants to use Nigerian smartness to avoid the real issues, refusing to present himself for the case filed against him by the Bank, rather will be running to the press/ social media to discredit the Bank trying to make it an igbo vs yoruba issue and unfortunately many tribal and ethnic social media warlords without deeply x-raying the issues now jump into the fray. |

KosiGee: Someone aspiring to be the president of Nigeria should be able to communicate effectively. Buhari has been a disaster and it shouldn’t be an excuse or justification to have someone like Orji Uzor Kalu there. Orji Uzor was messed up by that interview. We all should be glad that Abati and co are exposing these men.
Composure under pressure and ability to express your thoughts coherently are not qualities you’d dismiss especially for Kalu and other politicians. Kalu was rattled, lacks the emotional intelligence and cerebral power required to occupy Aso Rock. No excuses here.
I admire him, he achieved financial independence very early in life, under him…Enyimba conquered Africa twice. I’ll always respect him for that….but as the president of Nigeria, it’s a big NO. Pls no one should mention Tinubu or Buhari here. I’m Nwafo Igbo and a very proud one but this is not political witch hunt. Kalu simply hasn’t got it.
I felt the same way when I heard Tony Nwoye, Andy Uba, Chris Uba,Ifeanyi Uba, Okezie Ikpeazu and even Rochas Okorocha. As an Igbo man, I think these men above have their leadership qualities but they are seriously deficient. I also read Pius Anyim’s response to Dave Umahi when they had issues and I was very disappointed. He sounded like an upper iweka charge and bail lawyer.
Igbo can do better but not with some of these charlatans. They shouldn’t be flying our flag. You are a wise guy. |

All this attempts to besmirch a man who has done a great job at keeping his name and integrity intact is at best evil. Why drag him into a conversation that doesn't even concern him and try to drag his name in the mud. For the records I am not igbo and Peter does not even know me, but i will root for him anyday and even contribute my resources. He is a good example of what a politician/leader should be in a country decrepit as Nigeria. |

It is now, under a terrible individual, that Nigerians have seen the powers of government authority over their heads and wellbeing.
You made government systems work smoothly and easy such that charlatans became desirous to rule over Nigeria.
But you failed to check the excesses of your ministers and immediate subordinates as they went loose over state finances. Your ministers never protected you and your government as opposition party infiltrated your government to your detriment.
Despite, you and your government are light years ahead of the inept corrupted government of present day Nigeria.
Shine on in your blessed life. Greetings. This is a better and honest appraisal rather than all this people trying to change the narrative. God bless you for your honesty. |

El-rufai's son is not a government official so David should've minded his business as he was not directly insulted. A jab was just thrown at his article. Not that I support parental insult on either sides but are you saying it is okay for Bashir to insult someone else's Mum while his own Mum is spared ? The other guy called him deranged, why would Bashir go ahead and insult the guys Mum? He first made a jab on Davids article,I consider that normal Twitter talk, the guy made a remark albeit rude and then our guy quickly went from 10 to 100. If you respect your mum you would not insult other peoples. I think he got his match in David. Maybe his parents will call him to order after this. He got what was coming to him. |

Kobojunkie: I believe you don't understand what the job of a Counselor is instead.
A Counselor is not there to offer you human words or an elixir of any sort. He is instead there as a coach to guide the man and woman through the steps to resolving their relationship problems by themselves. . I take it counsellors are there to offer you some supernatural words that will help in resolution right? Mind you I am not saying counselling is not effective, i am saying that alone is not enough, as it takes a willing partner to engage. Most marital issues border on selfishness by either or both parties. |

So you guys say. But relationship counseling is not an exact science! The variables in human relationships are not modellable & human behaviour/responses are extremely complex.
The tendency to reduce relationship problems to Therapy & counseling without faith is Pretentious!
No Human words is potent enough to change the unprepared. This is wisdom, i have been looking for the right words to pass this same message across. Everybody advocates counselling these days as if the art itself is an elixir for marital issues. Even the counsellors have their own issues in their homes and therefore have their own biases. Whether he is a devil or not, a devil who delivers constitutional change is better than a saint who will preside over the status quo for another 8 years. Go back and read my previous submission again. Even the restructuring, i strongly doubt that El Rufai will agree to restructuring even if he does, it will never be in accordance with the current yearnings. The case of the PIB (where the north gave the impression that they are acceding to the demands of the south only to further entrench their interests) is a very good and recent example. |
