FG, CBN, ministries and state governments gave rice farmers everything from loan to seedlings, land, water, fertilizer, machinery etc. They even close borders to encourage them but yet, they came out with very expensive rice that is even of poor quality compared to that of India for that matter.

There are so many factors also contributing to shortage of food production in Nigeria and this is affecting the price of locally produced food. The major is insecurity . How can the goverment claim to have given farmers every thing but security to produce food ? Do you know how many farmers that lost their life the past 8 years? Do you know the scale of land that is inaccessible in the north due to insecurity ? Do you know that bandits collect taxes from farmers to access their farms in the north? How do you expect locally produced foods to be cheap?

Even the US protects their local production because anything that affects them affects the economy of the country. You dont get it. There was a time around 2014 that starter sold for 2200 while finisher was about 2800 or there about, go and price them now . Even at that time grown broilers were sold around 2500. I had to read all your write up to get what you're saying. lagos is a melting point of the yorubas, was of Nigerians and still is till today. Today its on record that no yoruba person has been killed in the east because of election , but everytime uts either the igbos are killed or their businesses are burnt with the supervision of an oba , i did not use anambra because the whole of the east there is no where the yorubas are uncomfortable or intimidated anywhere in igboland. The north today has stop attacking igbos because each time they kill an igbo man in the north we kill a whole family of theres in the east they had to use the tongue to count their teeth.
