MTN assets in Nigeria is much more than enough to cover any small loan they may take at any point. It's a multi billion dollar business and they will do anything humanly possible to remain in Nigeria....They rake in billions annually in profits so they aren't going anywhere, if they do, the banks will sell off their assets/collateral and it will cover the loan comfortably.

The only money they invested was the money they paid for operating license and there is even high possibility that some Nigerian were even involved at that point in time. And you will agree with me that they must have made more than 500% of their initial investment as at now.

Because a business is making billions daily does not mean they can't or don't borrow.

I really don't think so. All Nigerian business debt in SA is not up to 10% of Mtn debt alone.

The big businesses owned by Nigerians in SA are investment by our politicians with looted funds, which to me are not businesses but investment avenues. Because such businesses don't even repatriate profits to Nigerian economy, since they are setup with stolen funds in the first place.

But vat is already included in the charges for fund transfer. You can't just charge vat on the total sum I am transferring na! These guys need to come and explain more ooo.
