At 197 Naira to the dollar, import goods are cheaper than at 305 Naira to the dollar.

YES If you import products worth $1m, you need 197m Naira at the official rate and 305m Naira at the market rate. If you export, the market rate means higher Naira income than the official rate.

It cannot therefore be a rational argument to claim that keeping the Naira at an artificially inflated value is a way to cut imports and move towards a more domestic industry driven economy.

What actually is a human right? - and where do these rights start and stop? What maybe a right to someone, may actually be an infringement, on someone else's right- do you think those in the national assembly would change those sections of the constitution? Do you know most of them are Ex governors and they would be tried retro-actively (retro vies)for some of these issues, so it's beneficial for those lacunas to be in the constitution, because they need their partial freedom* we have only started one part of this corruption fight - we still have 3 major area's to face' oil and gas, civil service and then private sector (banking)

You dont incarcerate a man because he is criminally minded, you send him to jail because you have evidence of a crime and you prove your case in a court of Law. Innocent till proven guilty is a fundamental part of our legal system for good reason. That may mean that a few criminals get away with their crimes but I would suggest that just means we need to get better at catching and gathering evidence against criminals.

Like I normally say if this monies, are left with these criminals they would wage a successful war against nigeria. We all know these people are not innocent- should we because of lacunas in our legal system allow leeches and formal highway robbers continue to get away because of the poor judicial policy of the judiciary?

The burden of proof is on the prosecution, the accussed is not oblidged to cooperate. Maybe we need to accept that we cannot win the war against corruption with an incompetent EFCC and maybe it's about time we got seasoned activist Lawyers (maybe someone like Falana) to head the EFCC and bring some reforms. Dont get me wrong, I cant stand the guy, I cringe when I hear him speak but we must learn to do things the right way and instill professionalism into our ways. Even when you know a suspect is guilty, you have to prove your case, he has a right to plead not guilty of not to confess.

The reason for the confessional statement, I guess- is to make the cases more expeditious- and to get other persons, that may have benefited or other possible accounts that they can look into..
