I pity you. U left fire over your head while you went to sleep. So you are not firm enough to say NO? Do u know u aren't also safe? If you are not sleeping with that woman and you value your gal, you ought to have sent her out. That woman is going to burst you soon and u are likely gonna lose your relationship is no action is taken asap.

Chidoks: yes who your partner really is matters.for dome men once the wife puts to bed they tend to push the wife to the child/children and seek for fun outside--wrong! some women tend to transfer part of their husband's love to the male children--wrong too some lovey-dovey men become so bossy after marriage--wrong some women become disobedient after marriage and stubborn after the first child--wrong the aforementioned is capable of turning thr marriage sour but if you maintain your initial charm, your home will be so charming... Really interesting. U actually knw these things, no doubt. Not b lie.I can remember my dad said to me sometimes ago that once a woman gives birth, her attention is shifted to the child/children and if coincidentally it is a male child she start putting the child in place of her husband(affection $ attention particularly). Please are you a grandma or of mid age in marriage? I asked because most mature ladies nowadays doesn't know dis and values their ego/freedom than their marriage. Also, do you do relationship/marriage talk? |

Chidoks: the 'we' thing is abot the most important source of joy in marriage.it is not limited to decision making.it includes bearing children, raising same, having and caring for extende families.standing up for each other, supporting each other and pulling resources together to meet ends.the 'we' thing is very broad.wherever you go,whatever you do;someone is somewhere praying for you, worrying about you, thinking about you, wishing you well, thinking of how best to plant a smile on your face.it goes on and on... you can still club, hang out, make out, whatever that appeals to you untop of the fantastic 'we' factor.
by the way what makes you think decision making breeds disagreement? you see in narriage you leave self and focus on the good of the family.in any home where the common good of the family is key in decision making you hardly see such challenging disagreements rather the disagree to agree later and that is normal This is educative knowledge at its best. Thanks. I appreciate you. At this point I think it balls down to whom one's partner is. |

bigiyaro: can't be discusin adult issues wit kids, dey will never understand. Loool. Sir, don't be offended and please be calm. You can actually educate us explicitly. Tho, money is important in marriages but do you think it can make one self sufficient not to talk of being the sole factor of having a sweet marriage? |

Phema: I do think you are the "small pikin". She made much more sense than you did. Is money good? Hell yea! Does it make life a lil easier? Ofcourse yes! Does it make a happy marriage? Big NO!
Marriage entails much more. My own parents weren't rich, but OMG, I've not seen a happier couple. I used to wonder if my marriage could ever be as happy as theirs. . .
There is just this inward happiness and peace of mind that money cannot give.
OP, to answer your question. . . My single life was very sweet. So sweet I dreaded marriage. Now, I'm married and I got to know a different kind of sweetness. Settled-responsible-family life kinda sweetness. And I totally love it! Much more than the single one. Hmmm... classic!!! Very encouraging.I pray God will continue to give u grace $ hold your family. I guess there is more to the cry/complaint of some that no longer feel the love and fun they felt from their partner before they got married. |
Family › Re: "Before Getting Married" And "After Getting Married" ,which Is The Sweetest?? by Olami90(op): 4:34pm On Jul 18, 2015 |
Chidoks: After marriage is sweeter joor. at this point you are the center of his plans.life is not about partying and clubbing or even 'fast fooding' there is much joy in the guy seeking your opinion on how to invest, how to dress, how much to spend on feeding, what car to buy, how to manage his assets.there is nothing as sweet as he saying 'we' when he's discussing about most private issues of his life with you instead of the former 'I' Interesting!!! U have made very good points. Tho, life isn't about clubbing $ partying buh I think the feeling $ sense of "we" / executing plans as a couple may not b dat enough to mak it sweet since dey won't always agree on issues, and it is one of those things that makes marriage challenging. |

bigiyaro: it depends on how ur fianicial status before or after d weddin. Married into a rich family-sweet. Marry into a blood suckin family- not sweet. Hmmm.... I will assume frm ur post dat u bliv money maks marriage sweet. Wot if d man/woman doesn't giv d require time for fun nd other enjoyable activities, lovey-dovey despite avin money? Do u fink d moment shared bfor getin married is still going to be same or better after getting married? |

Some people complains that their darling dear no longer show them love like the time they were never married (going to cinema, clubbing, shopping, excursion etc) while some believes married life is the best, that it is the sweetest.
Married people here, kindly tell us which is the sweetest to you and reason(s) to support your claim. |
