Sports › Re: 3 Nigeria U-17 Players Fail MRI Age-Test Scans by olapluto(m): 11:56am On Apr 17, 2013
Veteran Ghanaian football administrator, Abbey Pobey claims the country can never win a title at the Under-17 level following the introduction of the MRI age-cheating test.

The Black Starlets recorded their worst defeat at the junior level in their country’s rich footballing history when they were hammered 6-1 by perennial rivals Nigeria in their opening match at the ongoing African Under-17 Championship in Morocco.

The Ghanaians were completely dazed by Nigeria who recorded their heaviest win over their opponent at the junior level in Marrakesh.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted an MRI test on all the players of the eight teams before the start of the championship.

Nine players including three Nigerians, three Ivorians and three Congolese failed to beat technology.

However a depleted Nigerian side were too hot for the Ghanaians to handle and the Neoplan Stars owner claims the country will struggle to win any title on the continent with the introduction of the age-cheating test.

“We shouldn’t tickle ourselves and laugh. I am saying that we can never win any title if we use the right ages,” Pobey claimed on Happy FM

“We have to understand that we have cheated at the U17 level for many years and we must now adjust to the new system.

“It’s a good start for us. We should look at the growth of the players and expects to win titles at the senior level but never at the junior level.

“Take it from me, we can never win the U17 again if we don’t cheat. I wasn’t surprise we lost to Nigeria.

“My only disappointment was that we lost by that humiliating margin. But the truth of the matter is that if we use our right ages, we can never win.

“I think Ghanaians should get use to that so we can continue to focus on building on their talents for future prospects.”

CAF introduced the MRI test ahead of the start of this year’s competition in order to combat the widespread issue of age-cheating.

The competition which has been thought to contain over- aged players for many years is now separating ‘the chaff from the wheat’ by employing the use of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to scan the wrist of the players thereby determining the bone density.

The bolded part says it all. Lets be honest with ourselves, Ghana is rubbish in football at all levels.

Bidvest2020: crap! no player from Ghana was affected.they r clean! u tink u17s playing 40-yr olds is easy,huh?congrats 2 d Ghanaians 4 conceeding only 6 goals
Keep consoling yourself. Instead of you to start feeding your players well. I thought your 'almighty' U17 beat many first team clubs in pre-tournament. Why didnt you complain then?
Sports › Re: 3 Nigeria U-17 Players Fail MRI Age-Test Scans by olapluto(m): 11:33pm On Apr 16, 2013
Abrantie: Whether it was before the Ghana match means nothing. The reason being MRI wrist scanning is only 68% accurate. This means there's a good chance a couple more Nigerian players weren't caught.
Very correct, and there's a bigger chance all the 11 players fielded by Ghana are over 24.

naijanow: “PRAY ON MONDAY FOR THE USA – I SEE FLAMES, A MASSACRE” – THE BOSTON MARATHON, PROPHET TB JOSHUA

“Something is roaming around in the city, the country…I see massacre. Pray for the nation, America”.
These words echoed in the hearts of the thousands who witnessed the vicious explosions at the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2013. As huge crowds gathered to witness one of America’s largest and most attended races, flames and smoke roared through the city as the earth shook, taking the world by surprise
“We should pray on Monday...Large gatherings should be avoided or well-guarded and well-secured.”
The Boston Marathon is one of the best attended races in the country. It attracts people from all over the country and the world at large. Friends, businesses, families had come out to support the runners and take part in the event. Unknown to the crowd was that hidden nearby were devices that would change the course of their lives.
“I see flame…”
As the runners reached the finish line of the almost 32km race, the ground shook as explosions bombarded the crowd, flooding the area with billows of smoke and fragments of broken buildings and glass.
“This is homeland security”
Security forces emerged onto the scene as victims were rushed to hospitals and an investigation of the scene began. Located later was another device, hidden in the nearby Mandarin Hotel.
During three live services at The SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua had revealed a prophetic vision God had shown him, in which he saw flames and a massacre occurring in a large gathering of people in the US on a Monday. He called on the world to pray concerning the vision and to be vigilant of homeland security where there are large gatherings of people.
In a tragic event that some are calling the largest terrorist attack since 9/11, numerous people have lost their lives and many have had their lives altered forever. We continue to pray for God’s strength and comfort for those who lost their loved ones in this attack as the events unfold. Stay tuned to Emmanuel TV for the full prophetic message.
I think he used same words last time during the shooting. Are you guys sure you're not editing his voice? Is America the next target of TBJ? If so, he will face stiff competition there o.

It is obvious PDP is banking on rigging. Or how else can someone come out to declare this largely unpopular party winning 32 states?? I can give PDP the whole of SE and SS. Outside that, no chance.
I also think its very disrespectful of PDP to keep rubbing salt on our collective wounds of misgovernance.

This happened over a week ago. The affected players have since left Morroco. They did not play against Ghana. I think the BBC or any of its reporters just pasting the story is up to no good.I suspect the story is from a Ghanaian reporter who hasnt come to terms that our cadets are better than theirs.

But bombs go off in Afghanistan daily. Only difference is that most people care less about who is killed there. Suffice to note that American bombs kill more civilians than Taliban bombs in Afghanistan. My sincere sympathy with those affected by Boston bomb. Same goes to the many children killed by American bombs worldwide.

Nigerian team suffers MRI blow! NFF is trying to cover up, but the MRI scan has caught out THREE of our players. Personally, I am happy. I think looking at the team pics, it is possible to tell who those 3 are. The rest look really young and are likely true U17.
Team plays Ghana today at 7pm 9ja time.

blexon: See what poverty is doing to some ppl to the extent anytin good has turn to a sin, be there condemning nd sons of God will be changing levels in grandstyles. I ASK who among you will reject a private jet as a gift?
I will gladly reject it if it is bought from dubious means. Fleecing people in God's name is not right in any way, shape or form.
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Adeboye: A Jet is Necessary For God's Work by olapluto(m): 9:03pm On Apr 13, 2013
Question of logic:
1. Without the harsh economic conditions in Nigeria, would the churches boom? NO
2. Without church boom, would pastors afford jets? No
3. Nigerians are getting poorer daily but churches are getting richer. Where is the direction of cash flow?
4. The poorest nations have the biggest churches. Where does cash come from to sustain these churches?
5. Biggest alariwo church in England is located in the poorest area of the country. Why?
Final answer: For the church to boom, people need to be poor and hopeless. Pastors offer hope blindly, most times as simple as words of mouth that doesnt reach their hearts. The poor man is more willing to give than the rich/enlightened man.
Conclusion: The poor will get poorer until the government grows a pair and ask churches to validate the promises they make to people. If you advertise a revival where you promise to cure HIV, then you should be made to do so. Failure to do that, the G.O should be made to pay the full cost of the anti-retroviral drugs.
But then again, our president also goes to the church to kneel down. Sigh*

Hettymoore: . In homosexuality both parties agree that this is what they want, its an agreement btw two adults nd dres no harm whatsoever. The other involves one person causing harm to another, there's no agreement watsoever. Its a one party thing. So tell how an educated person can compare the two and say its the same?
Your argument on mutual consent is flawed! Consent can be gotten by persuasion in all three instances I gave. It still doesnt make it right. Homosexuality is an aberration in all aspect. Human body is not designed for it. It causes serious medical conditions, most of which are sadly being suppressed by the media.

This is NOT Africa's first same sex marriage. These Western media are so patronizing. That they are wearing some weird skin of some dead animal doesnt give them the African stamp.
Having said that, it is illegal in Nigeria and will remain that way for a long long time. I keep saying Africa CANNOT afford to add homosexuality to its problems. I bet when HIV started, South Africa was also quick to embrace it, now almost all of them are HIV positive. Keep blazing the negative trails SA, 9ja dey kampe!
