I personally think the solution to this constant attack is public execution. If a Fulani is caught to have commited murder, he should be executed publicly. If an 'indigene' kills a fulani, he too should be executed publicly. By the time we legally kill 100 offenders, people will be scared to take laws into their hands. Our justice system is virtually non-existent and now deployed mainly for political use only. |
I think he declared the emergency in those BORDER states for a reason. Whatever insurgency is in KANO can be contained. Those in border states are more difficult. Also crippling Kano will cripple Nigeria |
50calibre: A sneak peek of the transcript. You heard it from me first.Dont rush. Sowore will get the expo soon. GEJ has been practising it for the past week. |
Removing subsidy from tonight? He's never had any good news anyways. I bet he's being sat down somewhere under air con to read and repeat the words again and again. |
How can anyone miss VIC O? VIC O and Afro Candy jor! Proud pikins of Nigeria |
wellmax: “I just followed one of the patients … then made my way home. At home I realised the environment was different. I felt like I was being disturbed by snakes and decided to go back. It is the place I need to be,” he said before breaking down into tears.Very funny! |
Honestly, I think Nigerian police needs to come up with an effective strategy to ease out over 80,000 officers and employ fresh graduates who at least have shame and are not reckless. This N20 bribe is disgusting. |
CFCfan: That race still gives me chills! the first time I viewed it on youtube, I was stunned; Naija almost took the gold!I tell you! I respect Falilat Ogunkoya anyday. If not for the home crowd, America was dusted. |
The day Nigeria scared America in Atlanta! This is perhaps the best 4x400m Nigerian women her run. The team was superb!Falilat Ogunkoya was a lioness in the last leg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VcOkBouHr0 |
As much as naija athletics has dropped, it will still be hard for any African country to match naija's sprint records. Africa has had no notable sprinter since Soji Fasuba retired. The promising ones are Nigerians (Divine Oduduru, Seye Ogunlewe and so on). In the womens, Maurielle Ahoure and Ruddy Milama are all but pretenders. They are easily dusted by Nigerians. Ghanaians used to be close by, but they've fallen way behind us now. Their best athletes usually lose out to Nigeria's youth athletes in regional games. Nigeria still has the best sprint relay quartet in Africa. Only that our men are now sissies. |
CFCfan: In the US, i think it will be shown on either NBC Universal or the local NBC station. I'm not sure.BBC should show it live (online and Red button) for those in UK. If not, it will be all over the internet on Friday from around 1pm Friday Afternoon. |
solomon111: True. Not really, but I agree with you. Having said that, it is quite hard to hit top athletics form in Nigeria. You need to compete against the best to be amongst the best. For me, Nigeria still produces athletes capable of world recognision. There are some very exciting young female athletes, especially in the 400m coming up in recent years. I will be watching them at Donesk for World Youth Champs. Also I think Nigeria finally has some exciting male runners too, but too early to predict. I think football has rubbed athletics of talents in Nigeria. Everyone wants to be like Kanu. |
CFCfan: Another good Nigerian female sprinter is Gloria Asumnu. But she is more of a 200m specialist.Asumnu is aging. Sorry to disappoint you. She's still very good, but I doubt if she can make the finals at Moscow. She's an important asset for the relays though. |
adaobi123: @bolded Really ? When ?Here you go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8C4tjPhauA |
adaobi123: The girl has potential to beat the likes Fraser and Jeter. When that day finally comes, I go celebrateShe's beaten Jeter and Fraser-Pryce before. The three of them will be in Shanghai for the first 100m head to head of the season. I feel her coach is still working on her drive, hence her competing in 200m at Mt. Sacs. Okagbare, like Usain Bolt, is a poor starter. When she gets in her drive, she is very hard to stop. In fact, she zooms past people anyhow. The fastest starters in the world are the shorter folks. Fasuba used that to his utmost advantage. Fraser-pryce too. But their bubbles always burst when a tall person like Okagbare gets the perfect start and they are all level after 10m. If you're willing to see the rematch of the Olympics, watch the Shanghai race live on Friday, I think its around 2.30pm Nigerian time. |
CFCfan: You are spot on! She looks like she will finally win the elusive Nigerian medal at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow. Nigerian athletes last won a medal in the championship in 1999!I believe Nigeria will get 2 medals from Okagbare if she's well managed. She's really peaking this season. Her opening race at 200m still stands as world lead. Her first jump this year was 6.70m, followed by that massive 7.14m. We have to thank Nike for taking over her training. She will be running her first 100m of the season on Friday in Shanghai. The field is fierce, but I expect Blessing to make a big statement. I see her starting the season with a sub 11. Personally, I think Nigerian female athletes deserve to be encouraged. I remember Ajoke Odumosu had to borrow money to train for the olympics. She got to the final and was very unlucky to hit the first hurdle. |
Blessing Okagbare is improving well under John Smith. She's breaking many barriers. She jumped 7m twice last friday, I was so excited. I think her only competition is Brittany Reese who is as erratic as NEPA. Blessing Okagbare and Regina George are Nigeria's best athletes at this moment. |
PurestBoy: I know the boy in question around Ologuneru Ibadan and he was an area junior broda, according to my friends who are on the same street and knew Efizzy better, they were lovers & left beer parlour after celebrating her birthday for her, there was no evidence of r@pe attempt and why would she be with a drunk guy in his house, both of them alone around 10pm if she didn't want to be phucked? I don't support r@pe cos I have sisters too but dis is a one-sided story since the dead cannot talk. Anything could have happened like a case of jealousy, cheating, avoidable arguments but the only thing that can vindicate her is to claim self-defense against r@pe but remember that the judge is not a fool cos he/she will need evidence related to the time of death. Search Akinwale Ayobami Efizzy on facebook & you'll see him, he was a cool dude but I don't believe he tried to r@pe her cos people were not just seeing dem togeda. RIP dude! That sounds more truthful than her account. This will then further rubbish the rape attempt story. If they had been dating, he would be comfy being with her just wearing boxers. Perhaps they've been intimidate during the course of their relationship. Perhaps it was another argument that led to her FORCEFULLY stabbing him. No 'swinging of knife' can penetrate a human heart. |
Delafruita: "In the process, he dropped the knife, and at that moment of intense fear, I picked the knife and waved it at him in the darkness. The next thing I heard was Yee! O ti gun mi (Oh! You have stabbed me). I stood up, shivering. I searched for my phone because the entire place was in topsy-turvy"Self-defence dropped with that knife |
Sometime ago, OBJ gave an interview to al-Jazeera. They asked him what his greatest achievement for 8 years in office was. He say'SECURITY'. Then, I thought what a joke. Today, I eat my words. Security is a reliable measure of a strong presidency. Jomo Gbomo, Abu Qaqa, Ombatse, MEND,etc. Who born them during OBJ tenure? |
ezotik: the fact that the girl followed him home at that time actually means she would likely come again. the guy should have been a lil more patient and after two or three trips the deal would have be sealed consensually with no life lost. The fact that he did not force her to follow him home is a strong prosecution point here. Agreeing to follow him home without really knowing much about him could be seen as an intent for malicious murder. I do not like cooking up conspiracies, but she will serve some time behind bars for this no matter her defense. However, I say again that she should be allowed to go home till the case is built up |
Gaddaffi is a great leader. His only 'offence' was that he didnt sell his people to the oyinbos. His people lived large, were happy. GEJ however is appropriately in the top 5. His advisers may not agree, but I witnessed Abacha, and things were not this bad. |
I'm sorry but her story doesnt add up. Which responsible girl follows a man to his house at 8pm? allows him to take her through the backdoor? They went in, sat with him till he started getting close? While the dead cannot talk, closer examination of the suspect's statement can help unravel the situation. However, I think she should be released and monitored while the prosecution make their case. |
Shooting pick first away point. Very good. Moving up the table after goalless draw with Sharks |
Shooting still goalless. Kano pillars 3-0 down at Enyimba |
Sharks vs Shooting stars kick off

My guy, you try, but still a lot to be learnt. That jollof is lacking in tomato puree hence its colour deficiency. Having said that, I think concotion is the easiest thing to make. I ate a lot of that in my days at Angola hall. |
A lazy advice will be for you to end the union. However, I think there's a way out. You've confessed she's now remorseful. I think you need a break. You need to go to a place where you will not see her or hear from her. You'll be surprised that you're actually incomplete without her. If she's got the beauty and brain as you've said, then she will not let it repeat itself. Come back home to your wife after a month or so. You will be like a 'new signing' to each other. The feelings will start to regrow and you can actually pull this off. If you pull it off, you'll enjoy the rest of your marriage. If you pull out, you're only be more shattered. I feel your pain bro. But try to study her reactions to the incidence. Trust me if she's remorseful, she wont easily cheat on you again. The devil can use anyone, man or woman. Defeat the devil by holding on to your wife bro. |
The things people get away with in Nigeria....20 whole policemen in one day! That's a bold invitation for war! |
It only takes a nake.d wire and giririririrrr. Not a wise idea |
chax100: Good morning! Was Dame Patience Jonathan the first to hold such office? Ask Tinubu how much Oluremi carted away as first lady of a state. I know say you just dey wake up from sleep .induced by Big BottIes of Alomo! SMH!!!You're intellectually blind. There is no such office as the 'office of the first lady'. |
zeera2: I disagree wit seun,God created me without eyebrows and I dnt wear heavy make up nor do anything to my brows n I look very ok.OK is an understatement. You're very attractive |
