Obiagu1:
Who ever doubts this guy is an idi.ot.
Northern Christians are as fearless as they would be as Muslims. Let Asari Dokubo deny he wasn't trained in Libya.

Remember the guns and ammunition intercepted in Enugu State in a Zamfara State government's vehicle.

Now this seals my suspicion whenever GEJ says I know who is sponsoring Boko Haram yet he can't arrest him.
So says the highly intelligent Obiagu1. Well done sir!

very funny interview. Throwing lies about carelessly all to try and make sense, but ended up giving a very insensible interview.
Politics › Re: Al-mustapha Sentenced To Death By Hanging? by olapluto(m): 12:49pm On Jan 31, 2012
nagoma:
" Al Mustapha to die by hanging - Lagos Jubiliates" says a newspaper headline. The Yoruba Judiciary have , after 12 gruesome years for Al Mustapha, arrived at the legalizing of his lynching in the on going vendetta for June 12 and Kudirat Abiola's murder. Al Mustapha , a gallant and loyal officer has carried out his orders to the end and often happens might have even gone overboard. This may be the last chapter in paymentss and appeasement for the mistake of one dictator ( IBB) and his team. It will be ironical if Al Mustapha is hanged on the same day we are conducting the funeral of the Ikemba Emeka Ojukwu another controversial fellow who plunged the nation into civil war which resulted in the loss of million+ of lives. he was however fogiven and today we are celebrating life and reflecting at his final exit. Gowon implicated in the bloody military coup that saw the murder of the commander in chief MurtalaMuhammed in the streets of lagos and followed by more blood shed was also perdoned unconditionally by the same president who pardoned Ojukwu. Nigeria is ready to show it's contrasting 2 sides when Al Mustapha is hanged. A forgiving nation that bends over backwards to ensure unity and sustainability and also a vindictive nation that will go to any length to get even with political criminals.
Oga sir,you really need to shake off the emotions and let your real sense of justice come out. Why is it that in Nigeria, a hardened criminal becomes a hero once he aligns with an ethnic or religious section? It is wrong. As a Muslim, I find it even more insulting that Muslims no longer want justice, but are more interested in their ethnic alignment. Al-Mustapha allegedly caused terror in many families. Even Mohammed Abacha testified against him. His actions then could have led to civil war if the Yoruba nation didnt believe in social justice. That justice was served yesterday. We all know that going up north, justice is served on the street to any perceived enemies without a chance of fair trial. The Yoruba nation bore the pain for so long and never did any riots occur in Abiola's name aimed at killing other tribes.
I promise you, Nagoma, that if injustice is done to al-Mustapha, I will be amongst many Yorubas who will rise up against it. In this case though, himself and Shofolahan have failed to prove their innocence.

Lagos judges have always delivered fearless rulings. If he truly killed or was involved in the death of people, I think the ruling is deserved. Maybe Nigeria (Lagos) is now going to start the long road back to ensuring justice is served irrespective of who is involved.
Politics › Re: Al-mustapha Knows His Fate Today by olapluto(m): 11:25am On Jan 30, 2012
The reason Nigeria is where it is today is lack of justice. Every murderer must face the music. The innocent should be released

Nigeria breaking up is a fantasy believed in by some few people who do not see the big picture. Yes the amalgamation might have been a mistake in the first instance, but we can turn things round! Only fanatics will cause Nigeria to break up. Fanatic christians, Muslims, ethnic bigots, etc are the ones pushing for this idea

Politics › Re: Do We Nigerians Really Live In Less Than One Dollar Par Day ? by olapluto(m): 4:28pm On Jan 28, 2012
If you stay too long abroad, you're bound to believe the news we hear about Nigeria. The average Nigerian lives on close to $4 a day. The extremely poor ones live on between $0 and $2 a day. However, those who keep quoting these figures are very stagnant. The figure might be true 10 years ago, but not true today. Today, the average Nigerian lives on less than $5 a day, while the poor Nigerian lives on less than $2 a day.
Nigerians work and provide jobs for themselves. The person hawking banana on the street certainly earns more than $2 a day. Same as the pure water seller. Even the beggar gets over $2 a day. In most 'poor' families, the parents work, the children hawk. They all come together at night and when they put the money together, it will most likely be over $2 each.

auwal87:
The military, the military, the military, the military! There is something in there inside the military. We must get rid of immediately.

Sardauna is clearly the first citizen of "AREWA REPUBLIC" I can see deep down in his heart, the honest and true love for the "Northerners" today and tomorrow, Sardauna you are the one!

I am perfectly 100% sure, Nigeria would have been since divided if the likes of Sardauna are still in existence.

Guys of Nairaland, you see your eyes. I will then tell you why I am even advocating for "AREWA REPUBLIC" even though it is going to be brief.

One day, I was in Sabon Gari area of Kano to purchase some books, I saw a group of people standing listening to someone speaking, after getting closer, I heard that person whom I am 100% sure is IGBO saying "We must be giving the right as citizens of this country to contest for election anywhere we want to, whether it is for counselor, chairman, or even governor of Kano!!!" People around him shouted yeaaaaaaaaaa" I couldn't stand there to hear more because I can surely reply, and it might led to hot debates. This is EXACTLY what Sardauna was saying; "IGBOS will try to dominate everything you own, while you can never go to their own land and hold something, not even an inch, especially that they see us (both Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba) as backward, cowards, and animals.

Today, Tomorrow, Forever, I will stand for Arewa Republic.
You sound scared of Igbos. Competition should be encouraged so we can get the best out of Nigeria. I for one will not mind an Hausa/Fulani man become a councillor in my ward. Provided he has done better than the indigenes. Sardauna's logic is flawed in many ways. The herdsmen who rip farms in Ogbomosho through their cattles can be termed dominators too! As a Nigerian in a foreign country, I have been given a level playing field with citizens of the country, and this can only bring out the best in me and them too. Hausa/Fulani need to stop thinking they can join primary school certificate with citizenship to claim top posts.
Politics › Re: Dame Patience Arrives Addis Ababa With 32 Aides For Au Summit by olapluto(m): 10:41pm On Jan 27, 2012
dmainboss:
Most of you are so ignorant and pathetic, I feel sorry for Nigeria. Do you even know what an AU summit entails? Have you ever attended any international conference? You think the other countries are going to come with less number of participants? I didn't know many Nigerians were this daft. You just come to a forum, real 2 lines of statements, and start doing the animal farm bleep. The last west african conference I attended had about 12 Nigerians attending. And we were not even high profile people. You think an AU summit is a jamboree? That Nigeria is having issues does not mean events like AU summit should not hold and everything should come to an end. And to say the presidents wife should not represent Nigeria in an event is not only stu.p.I'd but a show of bigotry. What does it matter if her english is bad? Does the president of wives of president of most europian countries speak good english? Some of you are so full of inferiority complex. Who says she has to speak good english? This is the reason oyibos call us monkeys. Pathetic
I have to reply you!
Firstly, the Nigerian constitution does not recognise the office of the first lady, hence Nigerian money should really never be used to fund her in any capacity. Furthermore, you seem to get confused as per aide and actual participant. I am not ready to google, but I can bet that the number of aide the British PM took to the recently concluded EU summit is less than 32. What do you need 32 aides for? An aide is not supposed to think for you!
Also, the meetings of presidents wives in EU summits like this is really just a jamboree. They are not involved in any decision making process. They are just there on official tags to keep the presidents amused.
Having said all that, you now need to see why this is unacceptable. The president made a national announcement (now I consider it national lie) to cut down on foreign trips. Now his wife has taken 32. That is a slap on all Nigerians who took the president serious in his speech.

If you want to project into the future, you have to look at the past. From this video, I can safely conclude that the messiah of Nigeria will be someone like Aminu Kano or a person from the SW who can boldly break into the Hausa/Fulani Oligarchy which is more or less a colonial cancer infused on the new Nigeria. It existed then, it is existing now. M.K.O Abiola 'invaded' the territory and succeeded, but he paid with his life. The talakawas have to be liberated. They need to be shown the way.
The day Nigeria liberates the poor, we will have an egalitarian society. And oh, the Igbos, no comment. A catalyst is a substance which speeds up or slows down a reaction, but remains unchanged at the end of the reaction. Go figure,

British FA is made of hypocrites. We all knew it will be like this if City continue winning. From the 4 match ban to Vincent Kompany for a fair challenge that didnt even warrant yellow card, to this. I watch the replay many times and it is not conclusive. Mario looked like he was trying to get his balance. He couldnt look back to see that Scotty Parker was there. I am an Arsenal fan, but this blatant hypocrisy by English FA is a joke.

GEJ

He is slow in action but does remarkable things. was bold to touch the people thats making things hard for this nation with the subsidy and also settled the noise at the naija delta on vandalization.

cut allowances and salaries of govt officers and politicians.
For ones in the history of our country election we had fair election in this nation.

lets wait till wen he is in his final yr den we can properly access him.

bt as from the past to this present GEJ wins my vote.
Liesss. The only remarkable thing he has done is overseeing the death of over a thousand Nigerians in the hands of BH and he says we have to live with it.
Politics › Re: Who Is Your Best Nigeria President Ever? by olapluto(m): 11:45pm On Jan 23, 2012
'Best' is a relative thing. Some are better than others in certain aspects. GEJ is the worst! Except if he performs a credibly popular stunt tomorrow. The best of military was Muritala Mohammed. Very patriotic, killed while serving Nigeria diligently. Best civilian is surely OBJ. A very unpopular president during his days, but relative to others who came after him, he is miles ahead. A very tough statesman. Brutal in his execution. He was always on top of every situation. So far GEJ has not successfully handled any matter of national interest, Or maybe the jegalised election

@Sweetnecta, there are so many like that. I am one of them. When I embraced Christ in Kano, I announced it to other die-hard muslims. They came with the aim of killing me but to my greatest surprise they went round my house asking me unconnected questions, drank water and left. So many who knew their plans were equally surprised. Power pass power!!!!!
Your testimony na waaa. You were a 'die-hard' muslim, you found Christ(who was never lost) in Kano. And then, you knew the intention of the 'other die hard muslims'. They came to your house, asked you questions and left. But after they left, you said to yourself: they must have come to kill me!
When next you want to post something here, think twice. You're not talking to your fellow church members. Some people actually see beyond cosmetic testimonies

Politics › A Clarion Call To The Few Remaining Heroes In Nigerian Police Force by olapluto(op): 4:46pm On Jan 23, 2012
Boko Haram has clearly exposed Nigeria's security failings. However, I believe there are still some military personnel who can hold their own against any criminal in the world. It is periods like this that make me want to be a policeman in Nigeria. We all know that the head is empty. GEJ will no do anything. However, I believe there are commandos who can harm boko haram where it hurts most. Where are these people? I know they exist. They are probably even in thousands. I spoke to a soldier friend close to JTF work and he moaned about how GEJ is not letting them face BH full on. How many more police officers, custom men, soldiers will die in the hands of BH?
All brave police officers, hear the call of the masses and please go to BH strongholds to clear them out. It is indeed sickening that our once prided military is losing its men in open fight. Where is all the training in NDA Kaduna? Where are the marksmen? where are the sharp shooters? Ignore GEJ and act now!!!
DO we need to wait till a major army armoury is breached before we unleash our tanks? You men who bleed green, please do something now!
