Islam › Re: Kuwaiti Prince Abdullah al-Sabah Converted To Christianity by olapluto(m): 3:57pm On Jan 23, 2012
I suppose the only 'proof' they have is an audio tape of someone calling himself  a prince. Well, the Al Abdullah Al Sabah that is a prince in Kuwait has been sentenced to death for killing his nephew in October. Any other source of this news apart from the greatly recycled news item from the vartican news?
And even if he converts, to him his religion, and to me mine! chineka

Positive about this game is that walcott has been further exposed as a never do well. Arshavin now has a permanent shirt with the reserves. And Wenger MUST now include Ox in his first team or elseeee.
Arshavin better leave arsenal before their trip to Nigeria ooo. Or elseeee

Arsenal lost because the wrong sub was made!!! Gosh. Why remove our only playmaker? and to replace him with Arshavin who is not willing to even be in the game? Is wenger now losing it?

iiiyyyk:
IF YOU REMOVE ISLAM FROM THE WORLD, YOU HAVE SOLVED 80% OF THE WORLD'S PROBLEMS.

                                TRUE OR FALSE

Considering this.

These are the top ten TERRORIST ORGANIZATION: All ISLAMIC.
1. Al-Qaeda
2. Hamas
3. Taliban
4. Hezbollah
5. Liberation Tiger of Tamil Eelam
6. Kurdistan Worker’s Party:
7. Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia
8. Jamaat Ansar al-Sunna
9. Aden-Abyan Islamic Army
10. Armed Islamic Group of Algeria (GIA)
Who created this list? The UK Government recognises Hamas. What is terrorism btw? Nelson Mandela was once called a terrorist on BBC. If you open your eyes and senses, you will understand this world alot more. I am not violent, I am a muslim. over 95% of Muslims are non-violent. But you chose to remain brain washed. I honestly pity your sorry self.

That is the ones carried by d media. These killings happen daily in the north, on the roads where cars are stopped by these killers; Christians are identified and brutally killed. If u aint affected u won't know how bad it is. Trust me as I've stayed the larger part of my life in the north.
Nowadays, anyone is allowed to say anything. So far, most of the victims of BH are Muslims. And you still argue they're targeting Christians?
frosbel:
Two things.
1. These acts were carried out by people who obey their religious creed.
2. The Majority of Muslims do not obey the Islamic religious creed with regards to Jihad , thank your stars for that.
You are a cheap opportunist. Is this how you want to spread your gospel? Through lies and false assumptions? Fear God who created you and me. All these opportunistic black listing of Islam and Muslims will not help you. You are an hopeless fanatic who should get a life.

Very sad. Now Kano has been attacked. Lagos really isnt safe. Moreso, GEJ will not do/say anything. He is really taking Nigerians for a ride. Why wont bombs go off when Kabir Sokoto was released? Witch confessed yesterday, child dies today. Who no sabi say na witch kill child? Kabir Sokoto probably is the one who gives orders to BH foot soldiers. He was a big catch indeed. I am very very sad about this news. How we had a chance to prevent death and bungled it!

Politics › Re: Ringim Deadline Expires. Will Gej Afford To Sack Igp? by olapluto(op): 6:41pm On Jan 20, 2012
I am convinced GEJ will not sack IGP. He will only push issues till Ringim's retirement is due. This CLEARLY shows that GEJ is not bothered about issues of national security, he is more concerned about his cronies. A presidential order should be the last resort in issues of national security. Failure to comply with it should be a case of worry. However, GEJ seems to be oblivious of this fact.
Politics › Ringim Deadline Expires. Will Gej Afford To Sack Igp? by olapluto(op): 11:55pm On Jan 19, 2012
Our president apparently gave a face saving deadline to IGP to produce the terror suspect who was tactically released by CP Biu. This deadline is now over. As usual, our president is quiet. I believe this will actually define more who GEJ really is. No doubt he likes Ringim as no sane president would have given Ringim so much grace period. The country is being bombed virtually daily, and GEJ still stuck to his 'loyalty' to his good friend of Bayelsa days.
Ringim appointment on its own was a slap on the face of many top brilliant officers. Now there is a problem:
When Ringim was appointed, 6 DIGs and no less than 10 AIGs who were above AIG Ringim then had to be retired. This is like sacking the board members of a company and appointing assistant clerk to chair the board. Things had to change. That is why when I look at people like late Ganiyu Dawodu as DIG(died in hotel room with female colleague) and Audu Adamu, I fear for the country. We actually do not have competent people up there in NPF as at now. Merit was sidelined by GEJ and that is majorly responsible for what we have today.
During Obasanjo era, there was a trans-border criminal who terrorised Ogun people and environs. It took less than 3 days after presidential order for then AIG Ajao to get the criminal. Even the then president of Benin, Matthew Kerekou, was well warned.
All these look a distant past now as our police force is now headed by imcompetent people. If GEJ should sack Ringim, who will he be replaced with? A northerner? to satisfy the North? Who is the most intelligent DIG we have right now?
The vacuum left by GEJs loyalty appointment will take some time to fill,
Politics › Re: Kabir Sokoto (Xmas Day Bomb Suspect) Re-Arrested At The Border by olapluto(m): 8:35pm On Jan 19, 2012
Knowing Nigerian Police well, either of the following happened:
1. A poor man who bears a resemblance to Sokoto was arrested and is in Abuja puzzling investigators
2. The suspect never really escaped, but Biu created a smokescreen
3. He was truly arrested after 2 sleepless nights for Ringim.
But this is not the end of the story,
Politics › Re: Yoruba Christians, Yoruba Muslims. . . .what Is That? by olapluto(m): 4:22pm On Jan 19, 2012
Funny how anyone on this thread will ever imagine Yoruba fighting over religion. Over time, the extremists have always been put in their place. Moreover, someone expressed concern over the 'swelling' number of muslims in SW. That person is ignorant to say the least. How many families in Yoruba land are indigenously christian? compare that to indigenous muslim families. In my village, I can point to less than 20% indigenous christian homes. They swell over time with conversion. Offcourse this figure will be different in places like Ondo and Ekiti states. However, Oyo, Osun, Lagos, and Ogun states used to be predominantly muslim.
Having said that, I think Yorubaland is a model for peaceful melting pot of religion. Perhaps it is education that makes us see beyond religion, or upbringing.
Politics › Re: Sanusi, El-rufai And Ribadu Compared! by olapluto(m): 4:52pm On Jan 18, 2012
I will sum up my comparison of the 3 with 3 stories:
1. Ribadu's time at EFCC was when Nigeria's top police officer was arrested, and JAILED. Good. But then where are we today? Corruption everywhere.
2. El-rufai's time at FCT was when he went on a demolition spree. He went about it in an arrogant manner, with unconfirmed stories of land allocation to his family. THAT is enough to question his integrity. Where are we today?
3. SLS said in a recent TV interview that he approved release of funds to fuel importers even though he SUSPECTED strongly that a fraud was taking place. Now that is really bad. In any sane country, he deserves to be sacked for that. Letting corruption pass your table is as good as aiding and abeting. If he had refused payment then and resigned if forced to sign, then I would have no issues with him. And, oh, he uses free fuel. For someone with grounded training in Islam, he should realise that for every litre of fuel he consumes unjustly, he is consuming fire into his belly. You may chose to define Unjust as you wish.

Summary: They are all intelligent men, honest to the standard of Nigeria(and that standard is very low) and hard working. However, they all have(had) an opportunity to prove themselves beyond doubt and they failed. Maybe the system caused their failure, but they certainly could have done better.
And they all have a tendency to become arrogant. Arrogance comes with undue public praise or perceived popularity. If only they can do what they are paid to do and leave the praise to their creator. Having said that, I think the new face of the North should not be these guys. There are more intelligent Northerners with higher integrity who are not allowed within the political arena.
Politics › Re: Do You Think Pdp Will Win Presidential Come 2015? by olapluto(m): 4:33pm On Jan 18, 2012
Considering the fact that I may not live to see the next minute, I will say nothing is certain. GEJ as of today will fail woefully in any election. However, which candidate can unite Nigerians like MKO Abiola did? Not El-rufai, surely not. El-rufai is not a progressive. We know those who can take this nation forward.
Nigeria needs a rich, bold, conservatively progressive, leader with national appeal. The first name that always comes to my mind is Femi Falana. But I know Falana may not even win his ward because Nigerians worship wealth. Someone like Tajudeen Fola Adeola (VP to Ribadu) is (was) a brilliant choice. I hope he can come back. However, how do you 'sell' him to the man in Anambra? Some people will vote for a rich man who splashes mud on them whenever he drives pass, than to vote a poor man who will tar the road.
So much so that religious bodies pray for riches before preaching morals.
Therefore, knowing fully well the country I come from, I expect a rich man to win 2015. The falanas, Odumakins and other progressives just have to wait.
If GEJ can dip further down into the nation's wealth, or even borrow more for campaign, he will win. However, I doubt if PDP will come back to SW soon enough. The ACN governors have done so well within a year and this has not gone unnoticed. Ajimobi(Ajirebi) is an example.
Politics › Re: Madalla Bombing: CP Zakari Biu Suspended Over Escape Of Alleged Mastermind by olapluto(m): 10:28am On Jan 18, 2012
How silly can IGP Ringim be?
-Suspect arrested in Abuja by a combined team of police, soldiers and SSS
- Suspect home in Abaji, Niger state needs to be searched
- Suspect handed to a suspect CP previously linked with extra judicial killings and corrupt practices
-CP Biu an indigene of Borno state, homebase of BH
- CP Biu previously suspended twice from NPF for Apo killings and Abacha crimes
-CP Biu reinstated few months back when BH was killing people
- CP Biu now told to 'look after' suspect arrested with truckload of police in Abuja
-CP Biu sends 5 police officers to follow suspect to his house for searchhuh
-CP Biu summarises the problem with the Nigerian state
Politics › Re: Madalla Bombing: CP Zakari Biu Suspended Over Escape Of Alleged Mastermind by olapluto(m): 10:04am On Jan 18, 2012
CP Zakari Biu is indeed a very very controversial figure. He was only absorbed back into NPF a couple of months ago following a 2nd suspension even after Abacha era where he messed up alot of things as a policeman. I think in a sane country, Ringim will be in jail for bringing back Biu.
Indeed it is no longer a puzzle as to why a suspect in handcuffs was able to escape, considering the level of his offence. Biu and Ringim just have to go on this. When was Biu reabsorbed into NPF? on what basis? On who's orders? Now he is suspended, not arrested. Nigeria is in big trouble. Our security is being compromised greatly

Very soon, they will unwind the words. We will stop having minister for science and technology, we will have Minister of Science, Minister of State for science, Minister for Technology, Minister of state of technology. Minister for Niger, minister for Delta, minister for state of Niger, minister for state of Delta, minister for pet, minister for roleum, and watch out for Reno making the ministerial list as Minister for facebook, twitter and nairaland resources.
And each one minister will have people working under him/her. With cars fuelled freely. And they say Nigerians should learn to live simple.

And the salary of each of these special advisers will be over 1m naira. Surely Nigeria will remain broke this way.

Going by GEJ's decisions so far, I can quite easily predict his next moves. If military fail in Lagos, he will immediately declare state of emergency. If on the same day boko haram murder innocent people, he will keep mute.

The most worrying thing about GEJ is that every move he makes is a big mistake. Soldiers have a tendency of turning the heat on people. I am afraid to say this, but I fear a big security breach.
