My people, I know Nigeria is bad, but I just read on sahara reporters that a certain Mr. Bukhari is 'threatening' to go to all media houses in the world to expose the evils of Nigeria. I did a bit of google work to find the full details as I feel sahara reporters is too sensational to give me the full picture. Here is what I found. Make your own judgements. The alleged attack and dispossession of a Briton, of his N200,000 and a wristwatch Khomeini Bukhari, by two policemen is said to be ongoing. The deputy force public relations officers, CSP Yemi Ajayi disclosed to Nigerian Pilot that the outcome of the investigation would be made public and said the accused policemen would be prosecuted if found guilty. Ajayi, however, said he could not understand how any responsible person could be carrying such an amount of money around at night, saying he could have found himself in such criminal incidence and to extricate himself, might have had to part with the N200, 000. Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Hafiz Ringim has directed investigation on the complaint lodged by Khomeini Bukhari, who alleged that he was on October 29, robbed at gun point by two policemen of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command. Bukhari told Nigeria Pilot that the suspected policemen, Messrs Samual Ekpah and Daniel Marcus were both posted to provide security at the Millennium Park by the Maitama Division of the FCT Police Command, but they abandoned their primary duties to turn into armed robbers, robbing him of N200, 000. 00 cash and wrist watch worth over N1.3 million. While confirming the complaint, Ajayi said investigation has commenced into the matter, adding that the IGP heard about it, though not from official sources and ordered the Force Headquarters, FHQ, to take over the investigation. He explained that his office has already sent signals to the FCT Police Command, inviting the alleged policemen, stressing that with the detailed information and description of what happened as related by the complainant, it would be easy to conclude investigation in no distant time. Reacting to the alleged robbery, the spokesman of the FCT Police Command, SP Jimoh Moshood said no policeman was posted to the place on the day in question, adding that the information given by the Briton were incoherent and has no bearing with what is known in the police hierarchy in FCT. “The man only wants to embarrass us. We were wondering what he was doing at such a place by 6.00 pm in the evening alone and no other person was in the entire park? We have also asked him to come forward to give statement but he refused, saying he has travelled. “The first time he came, he looks unkempt and from his physique and the incoherent manner of his statements, it does not seem he is in his best frame of mind. I suspect he only wants to embarrass us, but we have commenced investigations on his complaints. When we post policemen on duty in the evenings, we give them torch lights, but the man said none of them had a torch light. “We have even run a check on our system to cross-match the names he gave, but we don’t have such names on our staff list. He even said the policemen claimed they were from the Police College Kaduna but all these are not true. He has refused to clarify his claims. However, we plead with him to come forward, so we can get more information that will help us conclude investigation on the matter,” the Moshood stated. When contacted, the Brits said he could not understand why Millennium Park could not have security. He noted that his looking unkempt has nothing to do with what happened to him, adding that all these accusations was a deliberate tactics to cover up the crime committed by men of the police force. He said they are only embarrassing themselves by showing lack of interest in the matter and running away from it. Bukhari had sent a distress e-mail to this reporter, where he appealed for assistance in bringing the matter to the notice of police authorities, expressing disappointment on the way the FCT Police Command is handling the investigation, which he made since October 30th. The Briton lamented that the policemen, who were posted to provide security at the Millennium Park, turned around to dispossess him of his money and valuables and even threatened to kill him if he should raise alarm. According to him, “I am writing to you in regards to an incident that occurred on Saturday the 29th of October, which till this day has left me very shocked and traumatized and has left a scar on me. “My name is Khomeini Bukhari and I am a British National. I am the Head of Africa Division of the company I work for. I have been coming to Nigeria since January 2009 and have absolutely loved every moment of it. This visit to Nigeria was for the purpose of meeting my fiancé in order to make our wedding arrangements and to meet my in-laws once again to formalize our plans. “On Saturday 29th October, in the evening, I entered Millennium Park in Abuja at 7pm as I needed to relax. Upon leaving between 7.30pm and 8pm, two drunk policemen stopped me, they told me no visitors are allowed after 6pm, I explained to them that I didn’t know this as I’m a visitor and when I entered at 7pm there were lots of people and nobody stopped me at the gate. I pleaded with them and they were threatening to beat me and strip me Unclad and kidnap me and the rest. He went further. “They asked for my I.D and I said I left it in the hotel, they then searched me. Upon searching me, they found N200, 000 in my pocket and took it from me, they took my Breitling Wristwatch, worth in the region of N1.3 million, and they took it from me, leaving me with practically nothing. They wanted my phone but I begged and cried. They saw my wallet, but I had some change in the wallet that was not revealed, so they didn’t spot it. “I am writing this in an uneasy state, because am psychological traumatised. I rang AVM Abbas and he was trying to help me, as I was trying to discreetly call the Special Adviser to the President, Mr. Timi Alaibe, he didn’t pick. I couldn’t make any more phone calls, as they warned me that if they see me try to make any phone call, that they will break my phone and told me, that at this point, it is only the three of us, so no one can save me, not even the IG of Police nor the President himself. “I was very afraid. As in the Nigerian news and in the newspapers, it always shows how corrupt and dangerous they are and also, I was very afraid to go to the police station. Over that weekend, I had to borrow money from my friends and live very economically. “On Monday 31 October, I went to the British High Commission in Abuja and called the Foreign Commonwealth Office and they guided me to Maitama police station. The British High Commission also gave me one of their police escorts to accompany me. “I reported to the DPO of the police station and also wrote a full report, including the names of the policemen and he gave me one Sgt Samson, who after that day, did not do anything further. “The following day, I came to the Ministry of Police Affairs, I met with one Mr. Victor, who said he is the Chief Security Officer, CSO, to the minister. He took a full report from me and he assured me that as I have given a full report with the names of the policemen, that within 2 days all will be resolved. “I asked him about my possessions that were taken of me, he said that they may not find them, but if it was the police that did it to me, the government will take full responsibility and compensate me. “That day he gave me a Hilux Truck and sent me to FCT Police Command under the minister’s instructions as he claimed, to go and meet with the Assistant Commissioner of Police, operations, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu. “Upon reaching there, he took the documents sent from the ministry and told me he will assign the best investigation officer to the case, that within a few days, all will be resolved. He assigned one Mr. Alechenu for me, who till date has not given me any feedback. “I have gone back and forth many times to both places, however I am not getting any feedback. Unless I go to them, they don’t even call me. Does this mean they don’t care or are they trying to hide the policemen and cover up the story? Each time I go and meet Mr. Victor, he just smiles and said, we are doing our best but does not give me any feedback. “On Thursday 17th November, I went to meet ACP, operations, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu and he told me he wants me to meet the FCT Commissioner of Police the following day at anytime around 11am. Upon arriving to the command the next day at that time, he was away on a meeting and the Commissioner was in his own meeting. “I sat in the waiting room for quite some time then left out of annoyance that they are not serious about my matter. The PA to the Commissioner, when I spoke with him, all he said to me was he will let me know when the Commissioner is free. That is not an answer to give someone. “I am now in Britain and from over here I am still following it up. However, after giving them my details, they have not called me to give me any update. “Does the Nigerian Police really care that I got robbed of my possessions? I feel they know who the police on duty were. How can it be that even after I gave the names of the officers, they still have not found them? The names of the two policemen that robbed me are: Samual Ekpah and Daniel Marcus. If my descriptions were vague I could understand but I gave the full details,” he lamented.
|

@ OP, one more reason: the principle of reaping rewards is clearer in christianity. You invest 1000 naira, u get 1 million naira back. Whether you now make it to heaven or not after that is another issue, And there are sooo many miracles in xtianity. In Islam, they just go to mosque to pray, not expecting miracles, but being humble slaves of God, praying to him always. One of such xtian miracle is waking up dead people. According to a prominent Lagos pastor, he has woken up COUNTLESS dead people. What is the essence of religion if you do not want to die to taste the everlasting goodies? Why bother resurrect dead people back to this world of sin? And COUNTLESS dead people, Lo ba tan! |
Almost 80% of commandments/instructions followed by xtians today is from paul; Neither from God or Jesus. I do not think Jesus will ever associate with xtianity as it is being practised today. The poor now take backstage in church; afterall 'Jesus' was rich and had an accountant, while 'god is a game'. Paul's christianity showing its true colours. |
A man that should be worshipped by all is now being laid into by the ignorant ones. Ojukwu was a brilliant man, but he failed the ultimate test. Major Adekunle really (to me) ended the war. If he had stayed longer, he would have led the reconstruction of Eastern Nigeria. He was such a man. If I ever have the chance, I will name a military barracks or post after this man. |
The Jesus most christians call on is the Jesus they have moulded. The Jesus Paul told them to worship. Completely twisting the teachings and sayings of Jesus. So much so that Paul had to say you must believe in his trinity doctrine to be a follower of his new found Jesus. Jesus NEVER mentioned Trinity. It is Paul who conjured such nonsense. Perhaps if christians started opening their heads and minds, they will reason as to why Paul's teachings and letters have formed the basis of most of their believe rather than words of Jesus himself. |
Britain Prior to Sandhurst, cadets were sent to Mons Officer Cadet School in the UK for a period of three months. The objective of the Mons training was to separate cadets for either a long or a short training course. The older cadets were sent on the short course, while the younger or more able cadets were sent to Sandhurst. The Mons training was to be my first experience outside my native country and nothing in my interactions with expatriates in Africa prepared me for the culture shock I experienced in those first few months in Britain. The first shock was the freezing cold. However, this was a condition that I could and did adapt to. What was harder to adapt to was the overt and covert racism that infected the entire British society. There are several facets of racism: first, the conviction that blacks were innately inferior to whites and secondly, an intolerance for blacks who failed to conform to a restricted number of stereotypes. From my observations, there were two acceptable 'African Types'; the 'funny' African who grinned incessantly and was incapable of taking offense and secondly, the 'ignorant' African, who understood nothing, appreciated his own ignorance, and was profoundly grateful for whatever attention was bestowed on him by the all knowing Whites. The examination period arrived and again, I was filled with anxiety about my chances of success given the sour relationship between the instructors and myself. Other Nigerian officers who were contemporaries at Mons were Chukuka, Idiaja, Nnadi, Obasanjo and Adegoke. Once again, my fears promise to be unfounded. I passed the Mons examination and was confirmed for Sandhurst in January of 1959. I considered my selection for the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to be an honour and a privilege. To my mind, Sandhurst was the best military institution in the World. Not all the Mons graduates were so privileged - for example, while Adegoke, Idiaja, and Chakuka and I was selected, Obasanjo was not. He finished at Mons and returned home. In later years, I attributed some of the actions of my former course mates in the national arena, especially with regard to their colleagues, to the need to assuage feelings of inferiority which many have sprung from having been publicly adjudged and labeled inadequate in the midst of their cohorts. I was at Sandhurst for two years (1959 and 1961) and registered for the course with three hundred odd cadets. In addition to the physical training, officers where imbued with a thorough academic grounding in the art of warfare. The ultimate purpose of our training was to produce not the stereotype officer, but the dynamic officer. Character development was an integral part of the course and this was brought home to me in the first week. Before I left Sandhurst, our College Commander invited me for an interview. He examined me closely about my 'unorthodox' political positions, my views on his institution, and my opinions of the training that I had just completed. In our final report, Sandhurst cadets were required to make a self-assessment of their officer qualities, which was then graded by their instructor. My final report and grade contained some of the two familiar complaints about my 'attitude'. Since the report had already been written (and passed me, notwithstanding) I felt at liberty to give the Commander an unedited piece of my mind on every subject he raised. Far from being satisfied with my responses and desirous I think, of modifying my views, he suggested an extension of the 'interview' over dinner. We talked far into the night, and I conveyed my amazement that an institution would teach a course which mutilated the pride and self worth of some of the cadets and yet expect no reaction. On the whole however, I enjoyed the period at Sandburst. The skills I picked up, particularly on the 'Tactics' course, (my favorite ), were to prove invaluable to me in later life. My encounter with British military institutions did not end there. Two further courses were arranged for me in accordance with my selection. The first was at the School of Infantry at Warminster, and the second was at the School of the Tactical Wing. And so ended my military training in Britain. |
Adekunle was a true Nigerian. He fought to keep Nigeria one. In some of his letters, he begged the government to do good things to South East because it was a mess then. Young and old men were all druggies, And NO. He did not fail his modules. He passed all. Sandhurst is not Abia state university. You do not fail in Sandhurst and graduate. He was a fine fine officer. |
Tell me one reason why we dont have such fine officers in Nigerian army anymore? This is a man I am very proud of. If we have 10 of this man, I think we can invade all West African countries, Bravo Black Scorpion |
"I have to kill the Ibos—sorry" Stern reporter Randolph Baumann spoke with the General of the Nigerian front troops. If you want to get to know the devil of Africa, just ask for Adekunle. He is the man who is responsible for the death of 100,000 Ibo people". The man who provided this tip to Randolph Baumann, the Stern reporter, was Mister Ikpa, the official representative of the Republic of Biafra in Lisbon. Mister Ikpa knew even more: "Adekunle does not like journalists. He had a man from England who disagreed with him shaved bald, do an hour of push-ups, and write one-thousand times: I am a crappy Englishman and don’t have a say in Nigeria". Having been thus forewarned, the Stern reporter flew to Port Harcourt, a big Biafra harbor city in the midst of a swamp and in the oil field of the Niger-delta, and requested an interview from the "devil" Benjamin Adekunle. Major Adekunle, 28-years old, General of the Nigerian troops on the South front sat enthroned behind the General’s desk of the Shell administration, which he had made into his main station when he took the Ibo-city by storm on May 18. Now he stated: "I am convinced you will report objectively and keep to our orders." We confirmed that. "Okay," he beamed, "the Germans just know how war works. Tonight there is a front-party in my headquarters. You will come! An order is an order!" This interview with the most important man in the Nigerian war took place at night. Whisky and beer were abundant, uniformed go-go girls played DJ, Adekunle danced and petted his mascot, a small mountain goat named "Ojukwu". STERN: Your friends in the federal government of Lagos call you the "bloodhound of Nigeria". You are chasing a whole people. You kill everything. ADEKUNLE: Europeans are awful. They always generalize. My troops have kept prisoners. You have had a chance to convince yourself of this. STERN: I only saw one prisoner, a fifteen-year old boy. ADEKUNLE: There you are! In addition I want to emphasize that we do not murder all people who no longer want to remain members of the Nigeria Federation. STERN: Does that mean that you do not want the extinction of the Ibos? ADEKUNLE: The nation which the Ibos founded under the name of Biafra on May 30, 1967 is not a pure Ibo-federation. You Europeans should really know that by now. Seven million Ibos and five million other population groups are living now in the 80% overpopulated Biafra: Ibibios, Ijaws, Kalabaris, Ekios, Efiks, and Annangs. These minority populations in the Ibo nation have always hated the Ibos. Therefore they jubilantly welcome the liberation of their areas through federal troops. STERN: What are your troops doing when they march into a town around Port Harcourt, an area where most of the farmers are not Ibos? ADEKUNLE: We aim at everything that moves. STERN: Small children tend not to stay put for very long. ADEKUNLE: I know. I have two myself. STERN: What will your troops do when you get to the Ibo heartland, that is, to the place populated by Ibos only? ADEKUNLE: There we will aim at everything even if it is not moving. STERN: Are you racist? ADEKUNLE: You should know exactly where racists are. There is no such thing as racism in Nigeria. STERN: But why are you refusing to discuss this war with a European? ADEKUNLE: Let me tell you something: When the Russians surrounded Stalingrad did you request a land corridor from them so as to better feed your soldiers who were stuck in the pot there? Of course you didn’t and I can tell from your face that you think the thought of a land corridor to bring in food for the captured German soldiers in Stalingrad is a bad joke. Me too. Where and when, …………., was there a war in which the loser was re-nourished one more time before the final loss? Why are you just calling for a land corridor for Biafra? Why aren’t you calling for a land corridor for the Viet Kong? I have to declare: You Europeans are simply not competent! STERN: What is happening to the European Humanitarian Assistance programs which were authorized through your government? ADEKUNLE: In the section of the front that I rule—and that is the whole south front from Lagos to the border of Kamerun—I do not want to see the Red Cross, Caritas Aid, World Church delegation, Pope, Missionary, or UN delegation. STERN: Does that mean that the many thousands of tons of food that are stored in Lagos will never get to the refugee camps in your section of the country? ADEKUNLE: You are a sharp one, my friend. That’s exactly what I am saying. STERN: But you said yourself that most of the refugees in the part you captured are not Ibos. ADEKUNLE: But there could be Ibos among them. I want to avoid feeding a single Ibo as long as this whole people have not given up yet. STERN: Do you sometimes feel sympathy for the Ibos? ADEKUNLE: I have learned a word from the British, which is "sorry"! That’s how I want to respond to your question. I did not want this war but I want to win this war. Therefore I have to kill the Ibos. Sorry! The End. |
davidylan:No further comments. You just exposed your ignorance. |
davidylan:Well, am talking of the real Jesus. Not the Jesus of Paul and the Europeans. I'm talking about the Jesus that asked everyone to worship God and never asked people to worship him. That is the true Jesus. You and Fireman certainly are not followers of the real Jesus. |
nomorename:These people have made complete mockery of Jesus(PBUH). |
Benjamin Adekunle. The great black scopion. I remember an uncle recounting his Biafra experience and said Major Adekunle was : atuwonka nibi ti won gben dana ogun. I heard the precision of his mortar attack on Igbo towns was second to none. It was like magic. What a great soldier. Very fine officer. And only fine officers say what he was quoted as saying. If we had someone like the great black scorpion, boko haram would have been history: because the whole Maiduguri will be dust by now. |
atakiti:Proverbially proverbially, that is how we beat the agidigbo drum. Only the wise dance to it, and only the learned know the beats. |
adamabdul:. Can you please tell us the truth about BH. You seem to know more and a bit of enlightenment will do. Also, you shared the news of the death of a police officer. I find it disturbing that you, sir, are more keen to disprove the efforts of the state in combating BH while BOLDLY announcing the casualties against the state. I keep saying it that GEJ will go one day, but Nigeria will remain. Those who still think blaming the government will solve this issue need to rethink. Think about the family of the police officers dying. Think about their wives being widows and find a way to complement the tardy government efforts. We need to defeat BH together, then come to the table to criticize the government as we always like to do. Maybe if we stop glorifying BH and start encouraging our security officers, then BH will start to cede. |
I am seeing this from a different angle. BH have now moved to Yobe state. Means Nigerian Army has been fairly successful in cleaning up Maiduguri. Considering the obviously hardous task it will take in cleaning up the mess called BH, I will give the security agencies a big thumbs up. BH guerilla tactics is about surprise attacks. They are not trained and cannot stand ordinary NIgerians face to face talk-less of our soldiers. They want to be in the news at all time. They want to strike fear into people's heart in order to discredit military efforts. I think Nigerians should be wiser than them and act in unity against boko haram. We can condemn the state after this mess is cleared. |
davidylan:Yeah just like you have no human feelings for the thousands being murdered by the zionist terrorists. I guess terrorism is an exclusive term for Muslims only then. Open your mind and you will see what the world really is. If israel commandoes bomb your house daily, and kill your loved ones, I am sure your will still be preaching love to them. Afterall, its you now-follower of paul, the European Jesus wanabee. |
Hi Nigerians, I was wondering what you all know about the Sikh religion, as not many people know about us. Would you marry a Sikh? Do you think the Sikh religion fits well with the African culture. I will be intrigued to hear your replies. Yours sincerely, Ola Pluto's friend |
I will ignore @aloy and tell people who have opened their head and hearts my opinion. I do not think the elders of Iwo will back down on the request to let their children wear ijab to school. It is like a way of life. Most of these girls wear ijab all day, so why remove it for school? more so, ijab HAS NEVER been an issue in Iwo. Ever since I was able to tell my right from left, I have always seen school girls wearing ijab to school. My sisters wear it to school. Infact, one of them attended this baptist school in question. It has never been an issue until these overzealous school administrators started making it an issue. Like I said, it has been an issue brewing for a long time. Meanwhile, as an update on the issue, this is a report on the tribune, A meeting convened by community and religious leaders in Iwo town in Osun State to resolve the crisis over the usage of hijab in public schools ended in a stalemate. The meeting, held at the secretariat of Iwo Local Government Area, was attended by all stakeholders, but no compromise was reached over the matter, while another meeting had to be scheduled for today. Speaking on the development, a legal adviser to the community, Chief Ishola Tewogbade, said the issue was about enforcing the fundamental rights of the students. He said public schools owned by Christians should allow Muslim female students to use hijab, though not mandatory. |
The issue of hijab in Iwo concerns many things. It is a problem that has been coming for a long time. I will try to set the scene as honest as I can. Iwo has a majority Muslim population. In fact, Iwo is ranked top on the list of Yoruba towns with a love for the Quran. However, the Islam of love practised by our ancestors in Iwo seems to have been taken advantage of. I start with Bowen University (formerly Anglican Teachers College or something like that). When the Anglicans came, the Imams in Iwo and our fathers gave them land free of charge. They even brought teachers and most of the teachers live in free houses. However, as typical of Christians crusaders, they started to steal land by dubious means. Bowen University keeps expanding on lands donated by Muslims, yet Islam is not formally allowed to be practised in the uni. The traditional council of Iwo and Oluponna both are worried by this blatant robbery by Bowen university. I was lucky to be in one of these meetings early this year. The people are not happy, but this is probably an issue for the near future. In the secondary and primary schools, I will boldly say that the use of Ijab by school children is nothing new in Iwo and Oluponna. My family attend these schools. Baptist, St Paul, St Peter etc, all have majority Muslim students. The indigenous christians have always lived in respect for the Muslim tradition of Iwo and its surroundings. In fact, there is a christian Oba who attends Muslim functions such as Eid prayers. Such is the love between indigenous Muslims and Christians. I myself am a blend of the two sides. We do not differentiate. However, there seem to be more overzealous school administrators posted to Iwo region. They are highly discriminatory against Muslims. I trust my people to be very peaceful, but they will also fight for their rights anyday. And you people will be surprised that there will be Christians joining the fight for Ijab in these schools. Iwo is one unique place where you can have a christian father and Muslim daughter. I hope the government can put the situation under calm. Chief Imam of Iwo land is a very peaceful man. Same as Oluponna, Kuta and environs. However , I think the people deserve to be respected. |
2 things: 1. Either frosbel is not properly educated or 2. He is intentionally mischievous. This story has no bases in Islam. They didnt do it for Islam, Islam forbids such, but frosbel chose to use it to cause mischief. I am pretty confident you know deep in your heart that it has nothing to do with Islam, but u still chose to be blind anyway. Salam |
Big salute to these women. My mum once was like them. Most of them go through all these so their children can be better people. If you want success in life, treat your mother well. |
Soldiers from Darfur and other peace keeping missions are being drafted straight to these states. It will be wise to have some soldiers in other states too because BH gorrilla tactics involves catching people unawares. They will claim alot of casualties if they decide to move base to any southern state. Though they will not last 3 attacks, but the casualties will be grand if they are allowed to strike. |
Immediately after the Yobe attacks, I had to commend the JTF in Maiduguri. BH attacks in Yobe was a 'cry -out' after being striffled in Maiduguri. I think now that the Elders' forum of Maiduguri have become silent and allowed security agencies to do their work, we are beginning to see changes. Very soon BH will be flushed back to Niger where they likely came from. Big Big Kudos to Gen. Azazi though. Very intelligent. |
