Even NL censors comments. Almost all reputable media orgs (BBC,CNN; ABC, FOX, even the Independent newspaper) sanction comments. As per Buhari's case, I think it is long overdue. With GEJ and PDP leading a strong campaign of image abuse, even mocking his dead family members, I think it is warranted. There are some lines one should not cross. |
size38:Is that enough offence for Amaechi to finger a whole first lady? Does he want her to be speaking in tongues? |
Highly plausible. Ali Modu Sheriff was in Gombe and the next day, there were printed leaflets dropped by BH. Is there printer inside Sambisa forest? Why Gombe, which has seen relatively little from BH. Why is GEJ hell bent on destroying Nigeria? |
The manner of porky lies told by PDP is shameless. So GEJ led Gbagbo's removal? Anyway GEJ himself said on national TV that most of his supporters go overboard. This OP is a clear case. |
When the time comes, we will all lay bare the so called achievements in railway by GEJ from 2011 to date. By that time, it will be clear to all that GEJ did absolutely NOTHING in the railway sector. GEJ is very good at taking glory for what he's not done, e.g rebasing economy, ebola, and railway. |
Ngwakwe:Presenting political lies by words spoken by the president himself? Did you bother listening to the president? |
ighodalonosa:You want us to talk megawatts? or railway? I posted a video on this forum where GEJ himself alluded to the fact that the railways were done by OBJ. |
No need commenting on lies. You said OBJ sunk billions into the railway system. Well, it may help you to know that those billions are the trains we now see around. GEJ has very little to do with the railway transformation apart from taking the glory. About the other lies like NYSc, minimum wage, etc, I leave you to your conscience. |
If this happened in the North, this thread would have reached page 10. RIP to the dead, perpetrators should be brought to book. |
More people have died in the hands of Cholera in Bayelsa than those who died from Ebola in the whole of Nigeria. GEJ was very quick to milk the achievements of Lagos state government on Ebola. Can we now blame him for this cholera outbreak which is closer home. Shame on GEJ and his wife who can build billion naira hotels but cannot provide water to the local people. |
He better install things like this at kirikiri because Koro and Tewonde George will need it come june this year. |
Foreign reserves have been depleted to a 3 year low! Further depletion still going to happen as this pseudo-clueless CBN gov continues his trial and error economics. Soon there will be no more reserves to prevent a naira implosion. Soludo raised alarm, he was shut down. By the time reality dawns on all of us, it may be too late. |
By the time elections are over, naira will be near a no recovery value. I pity the future of this country under GEJ if he stays in power past May. |
(Bloomberg) -- Nigeria’s naira fell to a record after the West African nation’s decision to postpone elections increased risks the continent’s worst-performing currency will be devalued. The naira retreated as much as 1.5 percent to 199.10 per dollar before paring losses to trade at 199.01 by 11:12 a.m. in Lagos. The currency is depreciating for a seventh day to the weakest level since Bloomberg started compiling the data in January 1999, extending losses this year to 7.8 percent, the most among 24 currencies tracked by Bloomberg. “Traders are seeing higher uncertainties in the market with the postponement of the election,” Lanre Buluro, head of research at Primera Africa Securities Ltd., said by phone from Lagos. “There is speculation on the naira with many buying dollars in anticipation of imminent devaluation before the election or after.” Investors are delaying decisions to commit money to Nigeria as escalating violence by the Islamist group Boko Haram in the country’s northeastern region prompted the electoral commission to push back the vote by six weeks to March 28. Government opponents said the move will give President Goodluck Jonathan extra time to rally support that has been dwindling as a collapse in the price of oil hits the revenue of Africa’s biggest crude exporter. Nigeria’s central bank have reduced foreign-exchange reserves to a three-year low in a bid to defend the naira with dollar sales. In November, policy makers weakened the midpoint of the official exchange rate to 168 per dollar from 155 and raised the benchmark borrowing cost to a record 13 percent. ETF Inflows The central bank will probably intervene by selling dollars to contain the naira’s decline, said Primera’s Buluro. “The naira is becoming a campaign tool for the opposition party, the authorities will want to do everything to provide support,” he said. Yields on Nigeria’s $500 million of Eurobonds due July 2023 climbed seven basis points to 7.45 percent, the highest since Feb. 2. The 195-member Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index fell 0.3 percent, declining a fourth day. The gauge is down 16 percent this year, the most among 93 primary equity indexes tracked by Bloomberg. The Global X MSCI Nigeria Exchange Traded Fund had a record $2.6 million of inflows last week, increasing assets to $17 million in the fund that was started in April 2013. Another Oyedepo sheep. |
thelastgenius:God willing, ALL my children will apply to and hopefully attend OAU. |
Just shout Alleluyah! Even at OAU, I never had to fetch water....and I paid 90 naira for my hostel then. Tuition fees was less than 5k naira. I still got quality education that opens doors for me worldwide. Private universities are what they are: a shortcut to uni degree. |
Ajazira! arindin. Why not improve yourself first. Ajazira ko Alujana ni! |
Insulting the late Dr Adevoh by claiming any glory for fighting Ebola. Such is this selfish government. If terrorists kill Nigerians, then terrorism is global and Nigerians should deal with it. But if Nigerians fight ebola, the shameless GEJ is very fast to milk it and make shameless adverts on it. |
There are no GEJ trains. Even GEJ confessed that the trains he is campaigning with were all done by OBJ. |
Bizinton:But he is also unknowingly exposing PDP. Was the election postponed due to PVCs or Security. |
Collynzo9:you're not a man of sound understanding. |
Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria conducted elections during war. What is Boko Haram! Those were the words of Gen. Buhari when questioned by Jonathan Walters (veteran war journalist with UK based Channel 4). https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152716712546939 |
In anticipation of announcement of election postponement. GEJ did same thing during subsidy protests. |
This video has been on for a long time. It shows PDP boys trying to implicate Aregbesola. It was presented as evidence in court, but thrown out by the judge. Any sensible person will discard this nonsense. The thugs could be heard mentioning Aregbesola's name all the time, even needlessly. They define their operation well in the video, something strange for a group involved in illegality. |
atlwireles:Who is really destroying the armed forces? They are coming for you soon. |
rubbish propaganda video from the poor Gejites. Trying to sell GEJ this late is a fail. |
Striking semblance to Goodluck's young son. |
I pity Nigeria. A whole major general being bossed around by touts in the name of ministers! The office of the presidency has lost its respect and the COAS too! Even the ADC of the general was hurt by the manner Koro, Omisore and Fayose were raining down on the general. God forbid, if any of the politicians in that meeting kill ordinary Nigerians, they will get away with it. This is too much. |
How many PDP adverts on same TV station? or worst still, on NTA or Radio Nigeria? Force feeding Nigerians lies and ridicule is worse than a promise of change. |
No good election without jesters and comedians. |
Tydies:That is not correct. No law is against recording at polling stations. Only dubious authorities try to hide. |
