Those pictures aren't even doing justice to what el rufai is doing in Kaduna. There're dozens and dozens more projects that are still under going construction. Forget it, el rufai is from another planet. |

Buhari's govt is desperate to showcase achievements even though there is obvious failure in all sectors of the economy. The Pyramid in the past was as a result of the ineffective rail system in the 50's here in Nigeria. They had to stack it before it's moved by rail. This government has alot to learn when it comes to showcasing it's achievements. |
Rice is available everywhere and but very expensive. The thing is, is the one million pyramid going to make it cheaper because i don't understand what this show off is all about

Podcaster Imran Noshad Khan was walking on a busy road in Pakistan’s seafront city Karachi on New Year’s Eve, when he noticed a crowd forming around a parked Pepsi beverage truck. He heard two men fighting on the side of the street. One of them was pointing at the QR code on a 7Up bottle, a soft drink distributed under the Pepsi brand. He said something that made Khan stop in his tracks. “One of the men was saying [to the truck driver], ‘This has Prophet Muhammad’s name written on it. I’m going to set fire to your truck. I’m going to kill you if you don’t fix this’,” Khan told VICE World News. Khan walked up to the man threatening the truck driver and asked him what the commotion was about. The man, who identified himself as Mullah, insisted Khan take out his phone to record a video of his statement. In the video that has since gone viral on social media, Mullah holds up the 7Up bottle and points at the QR code printed on its side and says, “Look, it has Muhammad’s name written on it.” Mullah then refuses to acknowledge Khan’s attempts at clarifying that the inscription is a QR code. Beverage companies often use QR codes on bottles and cans for consumers to scan in order to access more nutritional and manufacturing information. World News How This Extremist Political Party Got Itself Banned and Then Unbanned RIMAL FARRUKH 11.12.21 Mullah went on to say, “I request the company to remove this mark. I will be grateful if they do but if they don’t, there will be a big war. We will lie down in front of this truck and we will burn it down.” He then threatens that if his demand is not met within two or three days, he would set fire to any of the company’s trucks he’d come across. “I can do anything for Allah. I can sacrifice my life for him. Why is my Prophet’s name written here?” Mullah said. “He was speaking with such passion like he was full of lava. I felt his spit land on my face – he was talking with such force. His eyes were red and he was sweating. When I saw that, I got scared feeling that I have gotten involved in the wrong situation and that I could be in danger, too,” said Khan. World News They Lynched Him, Burnt His Body and Took Selfies With His Corpse RIMAL FARRUKH 12.06.21 Khan wasn’t wrong to be fearful. In Pakistan, where blasphemy is a crime punishable by death, even the semblance of blasphemy or any content interpreted as offensive to Islam can spark mob-led attacks. Last month, a Sri Lankan factory manager in the city of Sialkot accused of tearing stickers bearing the Prophet Muhammad’s name was lynched to death by a crowd chanting anti-blasphemy slogans. Since 1990, around 77 people have been killed in anti-blasphemy mob violence in the country. After recording the video, Khan attempted to defuse the situation by trying to reason with Mullah and the crowd, which had become increasingly aggressive. Khan helped the truck driver get back into his vehicle to escape the scene. As Khan himself began to depart, Mullah cried out to him saying that he was a part of the extremist group Jammat-ud-Dawa, that he had “fought in Kashmir”, and that he has connections in “high places,” insinuating that the matter won’t end with them departing. Khan has not reported the incident to the police and has yet to be contacted by provincial government authorities, whom he tagged when he uploaded the video on Twitter. “Even if they did [contact me], I would never go to them or sit with them to discuss it. Our government plays the religion card itself. This is how they run their business,” said Khan. “When it comes to such problems, they ignore it.” PepsiCo Pakistan did not respond to VICE World News’ requests for comment. However, Khan said a representative from the local Pepsi partner and franchise owner Pakistan Beverage Limited, which owned the truck, reached out to him and thanked him for his help. The company said they were trying to ensure the safety of their staff in light of the incident. https://www.vice.com/en/article/n7n7n7/pepsi-7up-qr-codes-pakistan-blasphemy?utm_source=vice_facebook&utm_medium=social

If a Governor can use the Nigerian police to do this a political opponent or antagonist, imagine what they will do when we have State control security agents. I fear what the likes of Amotekun will turn to in the near future! |

UAE suspends flights from Nigeria, three other countries over COVID variants The United Arab Emirates agencies, National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have suspended entry passengers from four African countries. The four suspended countries are Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. According to the agencies in their statements posted online, the suspension which would take effect from Saturday, December 25, was due to the emergence of Omicron and a spike in COVID-19 cases. Other precautionary measures taken include suspension of travellers who were in the four countries 14 days before coming to the UAE. However, flight operations will continue to transport passengers from the UAE to the same countries. “The UAE nationals, their first degree relatives, diplomatic missions, official delegations between UAE and these countries and Golden residence holders are excluded from this decision. “The excluded categories should present a negative COVID-19 test obtained within 48 hours of departure and a Rapid-PCR test at the airport within six hours of departure whenever possible and another PCR test at the airport upon arrival to UAE. “A 10-day quarantine and a PCR test on the ninth day of entering the country is required for UAE nationals, their first-degree relatives, diplomatic missions and golden residence holders,” NCEMA said in their statement. GCAA also affirmed that it is required for those coming from the four countries through other countries to stay in latter countries for at least 14 days before being allowed to enter the UAE. UAE citizens are barred from travelling to the four African countries except for the country’s emergency treatment cases, official delegations, and scholarships. In addition, the two authorities have introduced new travel requirements for those coming on direct flights from Uganda and Ghana. These include having a negative COVID-19 test obtained within 48 hours and a Rapid-PCR test at the airport within six hours of the departure. Those coming from Uganda and Ghana to the UAE on transit flights also have to have a negative COVID-19 test obtained within 48 hours and a Rapid-PCR test at the airport of their main point of departure within six hours of travelling in addition to another Rapid PCR test at the transit airport before being allowed to enter the UAE. GCAA called on all travellers affected by the decision to follow up and communicate with the airlines to amend and schedule their flights and to ensure their safe return to their final destinations without any delay or other obligations. |
