The black one looks untrustworthy/dangerous, it looks like jumping into pool you can't see the depth so you won't know if you will be hitting the bottom but the red looks swimmable...

Autos / Re: I Finally Bought The Tokunbo E250 Ford Econoline For 1.4m (PICS ATTACHED) by Olayetan(m): 11:26am On Jun 10, 2022
DarlingtonC:
So, after much market research and advise I got from this thread https://www.nairaland.com/7161605/good-people-buy-tokunbo-e250, I finally decided to 'risk' it and purchase the vehicle.

I paid for it 1.4m, gave the ford mechanic 8k to service it (Nozzle and oil change), and also bought gear oil and engine oil. Then I gave it a small body wash.

In all, I spent about 1,430,000. Now vehicle speeds like mad, and is a Rear wheel drive.

So all I need to do is panel beater work. I'm budgeting like 200k for it.

So all in all, this vehicle at 1,630,000 is an excellent buy.

Or what do you think

Op
You bought Ford Van?

Did you do your research very well before buying it cuz I once had this van in my possession, the wahala wasn't funny at all that we had to sell off under 6 months use.

Its a very problematic vehicle.

Nigerians are so impatient, how do you guys handle riders that are so impatient, imagine getting an order of 8mins pickup but rider is already disturbing you with calls and text in less than 3mins and shouting where are you and why is it taking long as if you will fly to them. This is really annoying.

Thank God for u, experience is d best teacher. U will not say u haven't heard of the many terrible experiences of people on that road at night especially during times of construction and heavy traffic.
I can't remember wen last I passed that road both day and night since they started outer marina construction talkless of now that Eko bridge is blocked too.

Any Rider that doesn't agree for us to pass third mainland should request again.

I actually don't pass there when the night is still fresh(traffic hour), but yesterday was pass 11pm and I honestly didn't think I will see a reason to slow down on the bridge.

I can't get that experience off my head, it's still scaring me seriously, I don't know how I would have reacted to such situation if I was the victim.

Even the guy said he didn't see what the robber was holding and that was why he didn't listen and kept driving till he got his chance to speed up.

I just had a terrifying experience on eko bridge this night, y'all know that curve road that connects back to eko bridge when coming from Carter bridge, so this 2 guys were walking along that road and there's a trailer in front blocking cars to move faster to join eko bridge. Suddenly, I started hearing someone shouting wind down or I will shoot you, he kept saying that repeatedly to the person driving the car besides me, he was holding something covered with handkerchief, I couldn't tell if its gun or not but the driver didn't wait and he didn't wind down, he was just waiting for the perfect chance to overtake the trailer in front and immediately he got little chance, I also zoom through the little space before they come for me.

Never will I take eko bridge at night again.

DLproperties is here for you if you want to invest land or real estate

The cost of the keke is actually not much, importer just inflate the price cuz of demand.
That keke price should be a little above bike price cux the engine is that of bike, the difference is just the 3 wheel and shades they gave it so why is it that expensive?

If not because we don't have much talented engineers in Nigeria, is a thing they can easily modify motorcycle into tricycle. And sell it off a little above bike price.

So I was arguing with a friend who stays in the states and he keeps saying I am a rich guy.

Current salary is about 512k per month (take home), and has an annual increment of 15% of your take home. This is aside perks of perdiem anytime I travel outside work base (15k per night).

Anytime he wants me to have minor something done in NG on his bahalf, he expects me to use my money and whenever I ask, he tells me not to complain that I am rich (he knows what I earn), I don't have a problem doing those things for him.

I don't see myself rich and pls guys, what can someone earn in Nigeria to be termed rich. Your opinions will count alot as I still find it hard getting the usual daily stuffs we all use.
I am not married and do not have responsibilities. My mom is a retired govt worker and other siblings are all working.

Bros this thing you see is glitch or the rider is stupid. On a normal good day from Opebi on indriver that trip is 4k. Remove 10% from 4k and 27% from 4500 naira, let us see the difference. I'll share few of the trips I have done these past days. How bad are the trips? Create a niche and formula that works for you and you will be fine. I no be pearl1910, I talk and do. Even the V.I end at 6500 as rider need to do another thing in Ikoyi, abeg what's the distance from Adeola Odeku to falomo? I don't go to Yaba below 2500 and it must be on a very free road less than 1 hr. We have done both apps before. When they were still fixing third mainland, I've done phase one to Surelere 2700 on Bolt with surge for 3 hours, I want to cry that day.

This one too must be glitch

I will be straight and sharp, I don’t need any bad every response, I’ve done it already, and I want to handle it maturely. Just need advice from any one who had handled such issues peacefully that all.

Yesterday I was caught for bypassing, I wasn’t at home, so before I got back they’ve cut down my wire, my neighbor won’t let them take away the meter and wire. Immediately they called and told me, first thing I did was recharge online on the meter right away, hoping I would have a chance, but I got home now I saw they’ve opened the meter, and I’m sure our people they would have taken enough pictures of the tampered meter, some of them can even pix mix I’m for evidence.

Well they dropped a letter for me, on the letter my last recharge was written at the back stating about 8months ago, and a phone at the back.

I don’t know what to do first, any I’ve not make any move yet, but I’ve corrected the bypass meter. suggestions how best to handle it.

Hmm
I don't wanna encourage bribery but when they come again and ask them for what they can do for assistance.

Don't fear, nothing wey money no fit solve for 9ja.

Nice post by ghost1994 n donforuntes48

I have said it and will keep saying it, since Indriver came onboard Bolt and Uber became a shadow of themselves.

Indriver is not the kind of competition needed in Nigeria ehailing system.

Mind you comrades, b4 indriver started charging and Uber/Bolt has been having a stiff competition about their price increase... Shebi it was N10/min at some point and Uber was N11/min and N65/km while Uber was N67/km but now its about 70+/km or thereabouts.

Remember when fuel was increased we and one of jpworld 's last comment on this thread was that the partial increment by Uber/Bolt commensarate the increase of pump price from N145 to N165 or thereabouts... I wonder if that guy is still in business now self... I'd really like to know but that's by the way tho.

So indriver is the killer to ehailing business and if Bolt and Uber don't find a strategy to take this guys off I'm afraid the business will die in a matter of years to come, because drivers who are the frontiers are not making any profit anymore it's only a matter of time b4 many drivers start realising this.

How do you expect Bolt/Uber to increase price when another app is ready to take that same trip for far less? Take for instance I was at lekki gardens axis yesterday and I was just looking at prices on Indriver...

Sangotedo to far Int'L Airport, Ayobo, Alagbado where picked for 4, 5k the highest offer I saw was 5.5k and these offers didn't last 5secs and never came back again unlike b4 you'll see them come up againgrin if you don't getrit forget about itgrin

Bolt and Uber as well contributed to indriver gaining ground because how in heaven sake would you block a driver who has completed over 2000 trips in less than 8months and all they can say is cancellation and rating... That's nonsense!!!

This left a lot of drivers with no other choice than jump ship because they've to make ends meet and it tied them to what they call freedom, no completion rate, no cancellation rate, no acceptance rate, nothing.

Even bolanle like better thinggrin

What I think Uber/Bolt should start from to push indriver to the edge is for them to first change their policy of blocking drivers, then unblocked all drivers and give them a bumber bonus to come back onboard, then start introducing surge especially on Mondays, Fridays and week ends. Me I don't belong to the school of thought that it's absence of drivers that make up surge... These things can be manipulated.

Doing this will send a signal to indriver as well to increase their own price to stastoscope.

The most annoying one is the festive period, the other time I said out of about 9trips I completed in December period only 2 where surge and the surge was not even up to 1.9x but pearl1910 argued it's not possible. I just ignored...thank God he's a veteran in the job, can he compare his last December earnings to previous once? The margin will shock anyone.

Indriver is to blame not just the system because Uber/Bolt can't hike price just like that otherwise riders will dump their app and go to a cheaper one where they know even traffic won't change the price

I don't have much to say concerning this indriver of an app, all I know is, drivers should realize they have more power over this apps.

Drivers are the core reason they are still existing, if we all delete that useless app and riders don't see drivers on the app, riders will fall back to Bolt and Uber.

Its time we realize we control this market and without the drivers these apps are just useless.

Anyway, I personally don't accept ridiculous fare on the app, maybe the ridiculous fare pays the drivers that accepts it.
