An informative thread derailed by unnecessary comments. Ghana with a population of about half of South Africa’s will definitely bow to threats of investment withdrawals. Nigeria with a population thrice that of SA and a huge capital investment market, issues the threats no matter how poorly governed. We need to rest this black mentality of defining our civilization by how closest to being white we can pretend to be. It’s not just that their preferred candidate is a difficult sell with his drug dealer history & his numerous public gaffes, his supporters can’t help but display total ignorance of other cultures in their own country when attempting to de-market healthier & saner candidates by appealing to tribal sentiments. I just saw a clip on Twitter by a Caucasian lady in Norway looking for a townhall that is different from a bala blu! That’s how much of a joke his candidacy is to the world! grin

It is only a complete dunce that will compare Olusegun Obasanjo a successful two term former President and the first military head of state in Nigeria to conduct elections & peacefully transit power to a civilian government, to a former drug dealing ex-governor of one State in Nigeria who has no control over his own running mate that is already assigning presidential duties to himself while speaking in public. Gov. Masari should rather concern himself with how to pacify the protesters screaming 'bamuyi APC' anytime the President visits his home State before things get out of hand there rather than making comparisons that are evidently beyond his cerebral capabilities.

You might be hard pressed to find an excuse the APC has not yet employed to explain away the gross incompetence and ineptitude in their seven year misrule of the nation. Why blame a political party that they don’t share power with when the Minister of Petroleum for the past 7 yrs is left blameless! The so called APC youth leader has conveniently forgotten that his principal said the redesigned Naira notes, a policy of his own party, is also sabotage against him! I’d like to see him on Arise Tv to say who exactly is sabotaging who. Maybe when Rufai Oseni interviews him we might just discover again that fuel tankers are also missing their way into private residences in Lagos too!
