I don't think he is correct. I bought a second hand 65" Hisense TV about 2 years ago and it has served well since then. No lines, no troubles. The only problem I have with it is the lack of direct input selection which messes with my Harmony Remote activity setup.

There is a difference between made for Africa TVs and made for Europe TVs, the TVs sold in our local stores are made for Africa

Typically a good 3.5kva inverter should be able to accommodate 2x surge, if that is not the case then that inverter isn't good enough. I am also not sure a 1.5hp pump surge should get up to 5kw....I have a feeling yours probably tripped because of battery lvd

my sentiments too, *2 surge would be in the neighbourhood of 7kva for the short burst

There is a huge stock of these panels at alaba, I have seen them stacked up in a warehouse, the man told me they are yellow face panels and that is thier factory colour, I laughed and left 😹

To know the type and potency of your equipment via taking time to research saves you a lot of stress in many ways.

We were at a site recently to add extra panels due to business expansion and the panels installed by an installer was just not it.

To give to your client that kind of panels without their knowledge will be the biggest scam ever, except it was chosen by they themselves.

Picture 1-4 showing the levels of colouration to aging and also to mismatched panels.

You could have added your own advice without taking a jab at him. He hasnt said anything extremely out of order. Everyone here is a student of Alternative/renewable energy. Even Our Ogas here still learn to get better daily. And 5kva is huge, it can comfortably power 2 1hp inverter ACs. You don't need humongous, power hungry inverters to power basic household load.

Your last statement should be on all major billboard in Lagos for at least 1month

The other day my car died on me. It read 12.2 V on the multimeter.

Initially wanted to borrow or pay for another battery to jump start the car. Was too early for that.

So I switched off my solar panels, disconected the inverter batteries from the charge controller.

Connected the car battery to the charge controller. Switched the connection of the solar panels to the charge controller back on.

After about 10 to 15 minutes disconnected the setup took the battery to the car and it started right up.

Of course I had to reconnect the inverter battery back after I had returned.

Just sharing a story from the trenches.

There are two things you can do about this, make sure 12284 is at highest quality, try skewing your lnb to 2 o'clock... The mbcs will come ...... You can as well point to 7w for all the MBC package

She was staying her experience with that brand. Nothing wrong with that. In fairness to the lady this isn't the first time she has de-marketed Mouka Comfy (note that she specifically referred to Mouka Comfy and not other Mouka brands).

On the strength of her derision for Mouka Comfy I decided to do a little objective analysis of the brand and realized that she was correct. Mattresses are appraised by density. The Comfy brand is actually designed for customers/users within a particular body weight range.

Enter a proper Mouka Representative outlet and you will confirm this position.

In all these TV saga, one thing is consistent and that is TV's model number is different from the one on the chassis , this issue repeats itself on most issues brought up against alaba sellers, you guys needs to do better , you cannot sell a different model TV number as a direct UK used TV.....

Let me use our local parlance, it is inec blue battery, two of it connected in parallel, it is rated at 480wh, I don't have the picture right now

When the charger gets the battery pack to 14.6v what is the highest voltage on any 1 cell in the pack?

Are your cells 3.2v nominal?

The answers to these questions will help put your statements in proper perspective.

1: yes, there is a BMS bundled with the battery internally...
2: the HVD is 14.6v as I have always monitor that with a volt meter even though the charger has an indicator that turn to green from red when the battery reaches 14.6
3: I have not measured the cells before as they are all welded together in the pack (bunch of cylindrical lifepo4 batteries)

There are many types and designs of LFP charger with various charging algorithms.

The problem I highlighted was keeping cells at high voltages for a very long time e.g several days.

A charger that gets to 14.6v for 4 LFP cells plans to take each cell to 3.65v - the cells need to be very closely capacity and IR matched or the BMS set very lax to allow this to happen in practice without one or more cells hitting HVD early and BMS cutting off charge.

You don't want your cells or a few of them hitting HVD on a regular basis so a charger like this should have adjustable voltage so that you can back off from the HVD point (set lower than 14.6v) for your regular charging.

The charger doesn't have an adjustable voltage function, I have been using it like that for 4-5 years now though the lifepo4 are cylindrical in nature

Be wary of high float voltages for LFP.

For solar charging a high float voltage is okay because there are only limited solar hours in a day but if you are blessed with good supply from the utility spending several days on 27.8v will cause the cells to oxidize internally and slowly lose capacity.

Find a good middle and choose a float voltage that keeps the cells under 3.4v per cell long term after they spend an hour or so in absorb.

Please forgive my ignorance, there are lifepo4 chargers with 14.6v like the one attached, are they likely to spoil the battery too
