i totally agree with you...

going with edu certs signifies shes planning to job hunt as a source of income hence her plan of staying back illegally and not to return back to home country
Nogen:
Why did she travel with her educational certificates? Were they not safe in Nigeria? The act simply shows she isn't planning to return after delivery. The documents she should be seen carrying along are her burden of proof, indicating she's truly going for child delivery and not job hunting.

You don't sound so sure and confident.
These VOs are trained to read such countenance.
My advice get back to your drawing board.
Get an authentic proforma bill from a recognised hospital (not health care centre)
Get a detailed quote from a ob/gyn.
Arrange ur burden of proof with just a single bank statement.... they don't have time to scrutinise multiple statements when they got other applicants to attend to.
Reorganise ursef in totality n
One more thing. ..may I ask y the VO doubted ur pregnancy status. ...pregz ve clear cut signs aside from tummy growth. .buh then again I'm a dude. .what do I know.

Gud luck with ur application.

glassy2606:
From the address I guess it is a health care center

Hi woaini.
Congrats on your successful missionary journey.
Trust u n ur LO doing gr8.
Pls u mentioned in ur post u were processing Nigerian passport n eventually used an agent.
Was the agent for d passport or visa as my poeps r coming to dallas n would appreciate a smooth documentation process as well.
Thanks n best regards

woaini:
I got baby's birthcert 48hours after birth I called the county went there and got it for 23dols each. The SSN card came in the mail in less than 2weeks. I booked an appointment at the dallas passport office went there waited and got the passport same day. They accepted the consent letter I notorised before I traveled
For the Nigerian passport I was trying to do it myself but when I realized I was running out of time I contacted one of the agents mentioned here. By God's grace I was able to get all the documents and left exactly 3weeks after birth.
My hosts were even surprised at how I knew what to do at different points in time they don't know I used the nairaland/tvegas magic, lol
Thanks y'all. I am addicted to the thread so I dey ground

I booked emirates with the 22 hrs layover where dey gave me and my party each complimentary hotel accommodation (separate rooms). . 4 xce meals tickets. .n visas. .we can actually do a quick still into dubai city while wifey rests thru b4 we do the direct 16hrs journey to dallas.
My take us, if u are not booking the direct flight from naij..a, tk one with long enough layover were u can really rest n refresh will b4 continuing ur journey. .by d way, dubai dallas n abj dallas is just an additional 2 hrs.

Wait all, I categorically don't see d importance why we all are taking this issue of CS VD...weda it's one or the other anyone that has the audacity to prejudice ur mode of delivery should quietly go and chop banana and deliver the way he/she likes.. if na Hebrew woman things mk them give us a video shot of them during delivery, no medical intervention no anaesthetics no paramedics no nothing. . Just hot water n oil to bath the kid n also make them no even dare an squeeze face during the birth. .they should bring the child into the world singing praises. .
Then n only then can dey even phantom the though of telling down of people whom employed science in their birthing process.

Please mommas in the hux, the fact that you cultivated life inside you for 9 months is miracle enough talk less of even the crossover nurturing u do during childbirth.

Hebrew ke' Egypt ni'.
Please somebody should generate better topic for us to talk about jorh. .I'm tired of reading junk. .

Orubebe and Jega abeg make una wait small for coffee break, I wan ask this urgent small tinini question. What is the distance from Dallas to Houston? My heart dey cut for Houston POE and I don't want story that touches so I am contemplating on flying directly to Dallas and use one way local ticket, abi make I borrow muscle use Maclean that day fly directly to Houston? I have read some not too good experience with Houston POE and I don't want to add mine but the other way round. Jega and Orubebe must contribute because una get experience well shocked shocked shocked grin grin grin
Greetings... there is not Orubebe / Jega... however there is Jega team (@ Nerf) weh still dey collate results weeks after election has been concluded however we re yet to know weda PDP hold ground or APC go blow change weh we all go dey follow go now.

now on to your point of topic, my 50 cents is that you should enter through DFW (Dallas) given the good experiences we been getting from there.
southwest airline is still on weh u fit use transit to houston and even sef if you like, do road trip and give them naija style and trek from dallas to houston in commemoration of either Mai Gaskiya winning or Mai Jona farewell and statesmanship.

lol..all the same.. best of luck.

nefertitiram:
Huhn? What are you talking about? Did I miss something somewhere? Do you even read my posts at all you come charging in like a bull out of its cage? Did I say I haven't found a hospital? Did you miss the 'Rivers state post? And did you miss the part where I came this early at 20 weeks solely for the purpose of searching? Or did your wife deliver at 20 weeks?
And if I need urgent care is there no ER? Or is it your money? Haba?
Please please please, stay your lane o! I am still collating results for announcements. If you are not pleased, jump and pass. The relevant parties are eagerly waiting.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by olokings(m): 10:09am On May 06, 2015
hmmm... this one i must say u are invariably sitting on a very long thing..

wakanow buys the extremely discounted tickets from the airlines (which are not subject to refunds, huge cost for changes etc) and sells back to us as economy tickets thats why the airline when you call them for flight reschedules et al, they redirect you back to the agency you bought the tickets from.

in view of the above, i can categorically tell you wakanow will not refund you that money.... not unless you fight them well well..

i booked emirates for myself and family going for vocation and birthing journey directly on emirates website and we were given a complimentary 1 day layover in dubai, visa, hotel and meals all complimentary whilst the flight time from dubai to dallas is 16 hours. (change fee of less than USD200.00.

you may need to send someone directly to wakanow office to liaise with them. sending emails you wil just be getting automated response n stuff..

goodluck with the venture..

PS: you may need to note that there is a risk that when the said flight date reaches and wakanow does not notify the airline properly of your intentions, their system may automatically cancel your flight ticket on no show (on hold) and as such u may find it very very difficult getting on the return leg flight from the states.. please follow up so u may not be stranded at the airport with your baby.. this happened to me last year when i travelled to dubai using ethiopian air where i changed my first (to) leg and used a one way emirates and on my return back to nigeria ethiopian air told me my ticket was cancelled on no show (on hold) and i will be placed on waiting list to check after full boarding if there is space for them to consider carrying me along back else i should call my agent who booked the ticket... imagine the panic meehn. buh luckily it was not a rush hour period and i got in the flight eventually.

Just putting it out there. ...
You don't go into a biker bar to ask if/not you should get a custom bike n join d gang and if you do what re the benefits n not expect them to outrightly say "get that bike n rode with us"...

So far I've seen, d NL family on this thread are like sailors whom have made up their minds to go on an expedition and all that is being dished out here are boat specs, best routes, navigation etc. ..

I ll categorically say that this is not the thread/forum to get an unbiased, non-sentimental logically qed avocet l advice on the topic of discussion. ..cos u deliberating with made up minds settling d best possible routes to achieving their objectives ...

@bachangel et Al, as previously mentioned d decision u seek to take is solely dependent on u n ur spouse (as perceived u seem well exposed based on d info available to us) so with very little personal research I think your questions can be answered by you.

When you need inputs on navigating the waters then experienced NLers here can be of help buh otherwise, I think it's not d case for them to affirm or negate ur decision flow chart.

Just saying anyways. ....#realist speaking out. ..
Buh still I must say a thing or two was learnt with the strings of comments generated. ..

All the best.

with due respect at @Olokings, am sure u are not an illiterate to understand that not been financially capable is not the same a been broke? Is true that I have not travelled and I lack experience in travelling to usa for child birth but that doesn't mean that I should create a twist or are u going to pay me if I do so? Nobody knows me here and am the person that asked my question by myself so why should I twist my words to pls u or what? Thanks phema and co for ur ans am humbly grateful.

thanks very much for your answers. But is true that I don't have an official job yet but I own a boutique which I combine with my schooling and I also hav upto 2.3m in my acct. I don't want use my acct bcs I feel that the money there might not be enough for VO interview and also bcs I don't want to appear as a fraud since am just a student and a part time businesswoman. On the part of my UK bf, I don't want to use him as my sponsor since his a U K citizen bcs of the obvious questions like y don't I want to give birth in UK. We decided that USA is better bcs I have some family there. My male friend who I want to use as my sponsor, I want to use him bcs of his statement of acct not bcs his going to sponsor me financially. My Bf and I are going to take care of all our expenses.
aswear me too.. i no fit hold am...
now there is a new twist... you are not financially capable, a student.. but now you own a boutique with 2.3m in your account.
