rudedough: [b]I don't think tuition fee is a problem here, i think Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. Nigerians have the mentality that everything must be given to the citizens free of charge. None of those countries you mentioned charges a tuition fee less than N1,000,000 per annum except Nigeria.and so what?? d fact that education is run like dat in the west does not mean it should be run like that here...it does not not neccesarily mean wat is good and working for them will work for us,or should work for us... i doubt u will talk like dis if ur mum only income is from selling pepper |
Bank Manager: Bounce...!!!abi o..apart from university of ghana, there is no other uni over there that can compete with nigeria, despite d the so call rot |
D simple: The most expenssive public university is Kwara state uni with tuition fee of 100,000 for 100l students who are indigen of kwara state and 200,000 for non indigen and returning students also to pay a jaw dropping hundred thousand for indigeneous students. Though d skul is excellent in terms of facilities in place, but d fee is outregeous for a common man like me as I forfeited my admission ealiar dis year cos we were given a week to pay dis wooping amount of money. I applied through DE and was asked to pay 120,000 excluding a compulsory hostel fee of 40,000 for all freshers and 400l students.uniosun freshers :105 k plus acceptance of 25 200 k (for science, others) law,medicine:135 k plus 25 k acceptance |
texaco1: God bless you bro , i have always said it , the mathematical equations favors gej for the presidential election , definitely the south east and south south will vote for him , the south west this time around will not vote for a northerner against gej , and if a southerner is brought out by the opposition the north will not vote for the southerner knowing fully well that he too will want to spend 8 years , they will rather stick with gej who has 4 years remaining . the south west may vote for apc in the guber but just like you said , yorubas will vote for pdp in the presidential and if the worst happens , pdp will break or split the south western votes . there is no way gej can lose and that is why the major hurdle that his opponents have now is to make sure that he doesnt get the pdp ticket . whoever wins the pdp ticket will become the next Nigerian presidenta primary four pupil can think better than u...all what uve posted above are rubbish. |
TechWalker007: This kind of reasoning is what made Ngige emerge third in Anambra gubernatorial election.this man is a dreamer oo...keep dreaming till when u wakes up in 2015 |
Prof Corruption: Where is PDP in Ogun? Please tell how PDP will capture Ogun in 2015? The governor has performed woefully? APC is not on ground? Or the PDP is not factionalized? Or criminals like Buruji will select a leader for good people of Ogun state?big fact |
texaco1: hmmmm , nice . so who will win in the south west , tinubu abi fashola ?well lets just keep watching , the game is just about to begin .happy viewingif u think gej will win southwest, then u are being delusional.. |
those who are supporters of gej are so myopic..anybody against gej is apc supporter to them. unless u dont want to admit, gej is a failed president, maybe he is a good man with good intentions but he has surrounded himself with psycophants, who have badly advised him ,make enemies for him and also derails his goverment...gej himself has shot himself in the foot with some of his descisions. the honorable thing to do for him is not to contest in 2015,if he does, he would loose heavily.. for those saying the ss/se votes are enough for him, maybe they don't realise that its the votes from d north that will decide who wins, the north is so vast and large to the extent that one of those states ,Niger,is bigger than ss/se combined.....coupled with fact he won't win in the south west as well....gej step down and don't contest,u might manipulate pdp,but not the whole of nigeria. |
fg and ASUU signed mou at last.... source ;sahara reporters |
SegunRomeo: It's Only in Nigeria dat..hillarious!! |
boladez: I really do think the clueless and half wits administering the educational system and the confused FGN should take the blame for the mess. If FGN signs an agreement with a party and turns around to say the people who negotiated and signed on its behalf were not competent and informed to do so. ASUU is made of intellectuals not like the dunces we have in power.lets be truthful sir, paralysing the education sector for six months, sending students away is not justificable at all... why cant they call off the strike while negotiating with fg,but let nigerians be aware that say after a month and fg fails to implement anything in their agreements, they will be ready to go on strike again, that would have made sense, and pressure wil have been on fg. but striking for six months its bloody incredible...its d biggest apex of irresponsibility and not justificable at all..why hinder the life of those u claim u are fighting for?? |
texazzpete: No. The question is, why are YOU always in support of the FG, when they are the cause of every single strike that ASUU embarks on?ive never been in support of fg......ASUU and fg are both national disaster..ur support for ASUU is totally wrong when they also have their own selfish demands....its up to u,if u belive keeping students at home for six incredible months is the right approach to to acheive their aim.. |
texazzpete: Yet another brainless post from you. I clearly overestimated your intelligence.why are you always in support of ASUU sir??.the whole situation would have been better if this is their first time of striking.. look at this, they v striked a lot of times in d past(9 months,6 months,5 months,3 months, and currently six months),that s really sucidal, from d previous strikes, the infrastructure of our schools hasnt that improved, and our schools are still rated lowly in africa and d world..each time they strike, they always fought toe to toe with d fg....and now again,we are not sure they wont even strike in a year or two again...they are hindering the education sector while claiming they want to improve it...my point is ur support of ASUU would have been fair if they are striking for d first time. i hope nxt year, when ASUU go on strike again,u will be here supporting them as this.... keeping students at home 4 six months, and still being proud of it is incredible...they deserved olympic medals.. |
onyibajoe: No intended pranks perceived. Accept say you f**k up young man.no problem oo,im no proud..so i accept i f**ked up...but sincerely i did not intend it to end that way... |
Ekob: It is indeed funny my friend..and mind you i dont see ani insult thereof in the post aimed at mandelaabi jare bro...in fact,i laugh when i read it,really funny,..i was just playing some of my "mischievious pranks" by commenting dat way,..expecting some abuse from u like many nairalanders would done..... |
Demdem: If not for sheer laziness and stupidity on ur part that has made u not to go through Prof. previous messages before accusing him falsely this post of urs wouldnt have arisen. I wonder where u got ur MSc from. Talking about Msc, oil firm bla bla bla. Nonsense.you are wrong for saying ASUU strike is justify..wtf ![]() so we should be celeberating ASUU for going on strike on what has now became a yearly "thing"... there are other ways ASUU could do things without going on strike, but when people like u say ASUU are heroes for always on strike anually,it miffed me... and the reason is,we always thought each strike will be the last only 4 them to go on another one, alas! we all know next year, despite fighting the govt to a standstill,ASUU will go on strike again... celebrate ur mediocrity! |
Pat £inst£in: |
olu_kenzo :i hope next year or two, when ASUU embark on their annual "festival of strike" again,u will be here defending them. ur post made it looks like dis is d first time they will go on strike,so hillarious.. there have been 9 months strike,6 months,4 months,5months,3 months and of course this one is currently in its 6th month, and surely it wont be the last...so lets rejoice ,lets celebrate, atleast infrastructures in nigeria universities has improved from the previous strikes, and these strikes has made nigerian universities among the best in the world. why can't we just agreed that strikes are part of the decay?? ..because next year ASUU will embark on strike again!! |
prof.femi:to that last question, where was ASUU when fashola astronomically increased lasu's fees??,they did nothing, and the state gov descision still stands... secondly,i may be against ASUU strike, but i see no reason why they shouldn't be paid as they are a labour group, infact when i know fg though adamant will pay at the end..im just sarcastically pointing to the time when ASUU chairman went public they are ready to forgo d arrears as long as they acheive their major aim in d strike thirdly,ASUU has lost public sympathy, and thats not becos nigerians belive they are greedy like we students do,but because the strike has overstayed its welcome..it would have make more sense if ASUU had called of the strike, tell nigerians they will called off the strike for let say a month, but if govt fails to implement its demand, they are ready to go back on strike...sure nigerians will appreciate this and pressure will be on the govt. u are making it sound(i apologised) like if the whole lot of this strike is about we students, while ignoring the selfish demand from ASUU as well.. |
prof.femi:why should ASUU make their arrears an issue, the policy adopted by the federal govt has never worked in this country and will never worked..at the end of it all,the fg.might.theatened and brittles, but we all know they will end up paying those witheld arrears...so its really a crappy escuse by you guys.. and funny,ASUU president.has said earlier in public has long as they they acheived their aim, they are ready to forgo their arrears,so why the turn around?? |
prof.femi:wow!! good question sir... when i was there, the situation was worse,by the time i left,it has worsen u can google this"creative arts students of unilag protests" the sad situation in my department wasnt due to fg,but to all those disgraceful bunch of lecturers who epitomised d moral decay in nigerian universities.. |
1freshdude: YOU ARE NOT INTELLIGENT SIR! am not sorry to say this!im not surprised..apc apologist |
1freshdude: YOU ARE NOT INTELLIGENT SIR! am not sorry to say this!im not surprised..apc apologists.. |
Orlando Owoh: I now know why you are in a hurry to go to school, because you just gained admission to the multi-campus university, Osun State University, with over six campuses.whao!! thank u jobless lot...atleast im not a brainwashed Apc thug like you.. for ur information,im already a graduate,i graduated from unilag, creative arts department,so its not my first time in a university... im just against those who says fg,even though they are as well to blame are ready to justify ASUU as the saints..and messiah of we students..' both of them are as well to blame as each other for the rot in our university system..both the fg and ASUU are culpable and has contributed to the rot. i might dislike jonathan, but its unfair to blame him wen it come to "ASUU ",cos these problems has been there b4 he became president, its not like if it was his time that the cracks in d system manifested..u can blame jonathan for all u liked, but his predecessors are equally guilty!! im not surprised with d way u think, having checked ur profile,i can see u are an APC apologist .. |
Lanretoye: Its unfortunate that we have a govt that can go as far as fooling its ppl... I also wonder what students of this time are doin in school, just like only few of them understands the reason for the strike. Should the govt pay 200b to aasu, is she ready to pay the 5months arrears?arrears they didnt worked for?? so what will be.the consolation for.students who are obviously the biggest looser?? did u remember when this no work no pay policy started,ASUU chairman said publicly they are ready to forgo their salary as long as they get their main objectives from the strikes?? did u know about labour law at all?? it says any union that strikes for more than 3 months have no right to their withheld arrears.. and finally sir,the fg will pay their arrears, the no work, no pay policy has never worked in nigeria and will never will.. |
prof.femi:and u cares about ur opinion mr lecturer?? are u not part of the rot?? biased ASUU member trudging nairaland. just go get a life. |
texazzpete: Ah, I remember you.whaoo!! im honored u can checked out my posting history.. but for your information ive been a student in a university before, while u may be right about my recent admission,it doesnt in any way fazed melike u claimed me cos its not my first time in a university. u also failed and ignore all those questions i put on to u.:"what has ASUU achieved significantly in all those years strikes was even longe than d present one?,and are u sure ASUU won't embark on another strike in the next year or two?? ,individually and collectively as a group, while u can also blame the fg,has ASUU not also contributed to this decay?,has their previous strikes, always using the same premises as excuses to go on industrial action significantly and positively improved d university system??, and why blame jonathan for these mess??,its not like he is the first president that ASUU will go on strike in their time, dis problems has been from his predecesdors, and even worse than this..if his predecessors has been sincere with ASUU in their own time, will he meet what he is being now crucify for? i also noticed uve been unwilling to hand ASUU some of the blame in the rot, are u sure u are not a ASUU member in denial?? and u are absolutely wrong and perhaps proud to say all ur biased opinion means im beneath u...or u are intellectually better... and of course sorry for using that word "fool" |
Demdem:use ur dull head pls like jonathan is the first president that ASUU wiil go on strike strike during their administration......u can blame jonathan but other previous president are as well to blame... why now put all blame on jonathan?? when other previous presidents are equally as to blame because it is a problem that has been mounting from jonathan predecessors.. atleast if they have been equally sincere with the useless organisation called "ASUU" ,jonathan wouldnt have been met with what he is now being crucify for. |
Boss Ttdiamonds: Keep talking, someday you'll say something intelligenti pray u die an intelligent man. |
Demdem:u are nothing more than an attention seeker...leave delsu alone pls... why should u be putting ur tail everywhere? i can see u are a jobless lot.. go get a life.. |

im not surprised at ur lack of sense..anybody with intuity will see u are a typical brainwashed APC thug! |
Daniyemi: This is an apotheosis at the highest empyemaYaba psycriatist hospital awaits you. |

, let's tell ourselves the truth. Govt. cannot afford to take care of the University, it's time for Nigerians to accept their fate OR accept an increase in University tuition fee and then demand an access to educational loans from the Govt.
its bloody incredible...its d biggest apex of irresponsibility and not justificable at all..
